No control app. With app issues I am unable to determine the contents. ### 1/5 — False gospel *2026-06-02, version 1.3.8* My unassuming mom downloaded this app as a good way to stay focused on God throughout the day, but it quickly spiraled down from there on. It consistently adds comments after completing a quizzes like “good job, God is so proud of you!” and “You’ll have good luck for seven days”, which is the complete opposite of the Gospel of love that God tells us of in the Bible—that although our sin (doing bad things) and its penalty, death, separates us from God, who is eternally perfect, holy and just, He loved us too much to watch us suffer and sent His very own Son, Jesus, down to Earth as a human, to live the perfect sinless life and then sacrifice Himself on a cross to take on our sins’ punishment, death, so that we could be forgiven. Jesus then rose three days later defeating death and sin so that we might be clothed in His own righteousness and have an eternal relationship with God, meaning even after we die on Earth, we go to heaven and continue in relationship with Him eternally, no longer having to earn it by our own good works, which we couldn’t do because we were already tainted by sin, making us unable to gain righteousness on our own. Believing in Jesus is our only way to right-standing and relationship with God (that’s it, no believing plus works, JUST believing that His sacrifice was enough), God’s love demonstrated as faithful and unconditional despite our unfaithfulness to Him; this is the Gospel. This app however, preaches a false gospel through sly comments and manipulations that God’s love is conditional, and we must earn His adoration and affection. However, His adoration and affection was already ours from the start simply because we are His own beautiful creation, this unconditional and faithful love exemplified in His decision to send Jesus to bridge that gap between us and Him. All that’s to say I don’t recommend this app-however, I do recommend reading the Bible (I really like the CSB translation as I find it easy to read and reads like a book), as well as the Bible app, as it has an online version of the Bible as well as devotional plans that also include video plans. I could not enjoy the app because ads kept popping up. ### 1/5 — Only Ad for another app *2026-05-25* Ads! I’m trying to use the app and all I get is an ad for a KMV bible app, then some Mahjong game. I watched the stupid commercial 2x and it still won’t get off my screen so that I can access the Ember app. Also it forced me to answer some multiple choice bible questions. Stop judgements on my knowledge if I’m Coming for prayer and support . Trying one more time before I delete this scam. Tried again, nada. Then, just looking at the app, I’m getting more of a new age/false Christ vibe than anything else. I wouldn’t be surprised if the people behind this app aren’t true followers of Christ. Horrible when you think you found a great study aid then are forced to watch the same ad every thirty seconds. Greed makes your app worth nothing.
