### 2/5 — Great in Theory, Pointless in Practice

*2024-08-13, version 2.16*

Every time I go to add another medication all of the previous ones are gone and I have to start all over again. I paid for insights this month and there have been none other than the 3 that were already there in the free version. My “where you’re at” tracker is not tracking, I suspect because the other data isn’t sticking. Don’t bother spending the money and just use a paper and pen.

### 3/5 — Setting Up Issues

*2024-03-09, version 2.15*

Sadly unable to set up a new account. Issues with one time password, and email address. Neither accepted by the site. Tried multiple times - Shame, as the app came highly rated.

### 3/5 — Great, but room for improvement

*2023-07-13*

I love having everything all in one place to track medications and results, but the convenience is overshadowed by consistent glitches. There’s loading issues with the calendar and the discussion boards, so much so that I can’t use the app at all some days.

### 4/5 — Very helpful but…

*2023-06-12*

I love this app, it’s nice to have one spot to manage your whole cycle. However, the community option is a bit messy. Old posts come up first when you open the app sometimes and other times you can’t find newer posts unless you bookmark it.
I personally think there should be an easier interface for the community to communicate, perhaps even a search bar within the community to find topics that interest you.
There is also no way to enter your results if you end up with multiples pregnancy or the results of your scans after you get a positive test. I just wish this was implemented so I don’t have to download multiple apps.
But overall it’s great and chatting with other people going through IVF helps a lot.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the feedback. Would love if you could message us directly about the old posts issue as that may be a bug. The post with the latest comments does jump to the top, and if someone is super active on an older post, it comes back up. Can you email me at info@embieapp.com

### 2/5 — Hard to navigate

*2023-05-24, version 2.11*

Finding it really difficult to find my way around, it’s not intuitive at all. I’m in the UK and unfortunately this seems geared towards the US but it’s the only ivf app I could find. Also a bit insensitive that under miscarriages it lists “abortion/elective” which is not the same thing at all.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate Medication Information

*2023-01-25*

Love the clean look of this app, but so far it has not been intuitive entering information. My primary concern is that when adding the medication Menopur to the med list, the app labels this as refrigeration required. This is inaccurate. Concerning that inappropriate storage information is being displayed. Please update this!

**Developer response:** Hi Oman, thanks for the feedback. This actually depends on where you live and if you're using 75IU or 1200IU, etc. Since we're an internationally available app, we take the stance of better safe than sorry. Some solvents for Menopur do require refrigeration before you mix, and all Menapur (mixed or not) can be refrigerated, but not frozen, so we therefore include this indication in the app. Would love to hear the rest of your feedback regarding entering information so we can continue to improve - email us directly at info@embieapp.com

### 4/5 — Almost 5 stars

*2022-11-09*

Love this app to track my IVF cycles! I would have given 5 stars, however, there is no way to manage the Home Screen to better plan and track what I have completed throughout the day. As you know, there can be a lot of stuff to do and would be nice to have the option to pick what I can view versus having a big part of the screen taken up by community posts (which is great to see when I’m not in the middle of a cycle). Also, I noticed that the button to mark meds as complete is so small that it sometimes clicks on the med without marking as complete which can be frustrating when I’ve got multiple meds to take. Otherwise it’s great!!

**Developer response:** Hi K! glad we can be a part of your journey, would love to talk about improvements you'd like to see. Can you email us directly at info@embieapp.com

### 3/5 — Slow

*2022-10-22, version 2.04*

Slow and form style is outdated

### 1/5 — Infertility App with more triggers than Facebook

*2022-03-29*

The idea is great here but the execution needs some work. App itself is clunky - upon creating an account - it sends you a verification email which won’t work, and the instructions it gives for resetting your password you just created, won’t work. But after you reach out to support, you’re good to go and now the fun starts.. upon opening this app for the first time there’s a feed and right up top - someone’s positive pregnancy test. No way to remove this. If you think it’s just a random one time, open the app the next day, ANOTHER ONE. If you’re like me, and this is triggering after multiple failed rounds of IVF, miscarriage from IVF, etc, stir clear of this one. I don’t need yet another app to slap me in the face with others success, Facebook does that enough. You would think a fertility app would do better, but honestly, don’t bother - the features of this app aren’t that great. It’s honestly just another place to add things but if you have the calendar app and someone you’re tracking your cycle - this is just duplicate. The calendar doesn’t sync, and there’s no total view of everything, it’s all in different screens. Triggers all over the place aside, just isn’t a good UI, didn’t add any ease or anything revolutionary to my IVF plate. Deleted.

**Developer response:** Hi Kristen, Totally understand that a positive test can trigger after loss. The homepage has the latest posts from our community section, and the women using Embie share with one another their struggles and their joys, which at times can be their embryo status or in this case a positive pregnancy test. You can block the post from your feed - but totally understand if you needed to delete the app.
Edit: as of Jan 23rd, the option to hide the community on the homepage is available.

### 1/5 — This app needs a lot work

*2022-01-30, version 1.98*

creating a log in takes 10 mins and they made me make 3 accounts because the system wasn’t recognizing the account I just made

### 3/5 — Slow and clunky

*2022-01-30, version 1.98*

Takes ages to navigate from one page to the next. Doesn’t save the correct info that is input and has a constant server error on several pages.
Nice to connect with others on the same ivf journey but wish the app worked better.

### 3/5 — A little slow to load stuff

*2022-01-19*

I like the app, but it seems really clunky. Half the time I go to check off meds for the day the app just closes and when I am able to check stuff off, it’s really slow to load. Like I can’t just go down the line and check off all my meds in the morning. I have to check one, stop, wait for it to load the check mark, move onto the next one. Any chance we could make it a little more responsive? Other than that I like the app.

**Developer response:** Update: Should be running much faster now :) Hi! thanks for the feedback. We're on it! If you have more details to share about where you're experiencing a slow load, please share it with us at info@embieapp.com

### 3/5 — I tried so hard to like it

*2022-01-09, version 1.98*

I really wanted to love this app because on paper it is everything I was looking for in an infertility-related tracking app, but it’s just so darn buggy. It’s always lagging or crashing on me, and I hate the interface to add symptoms/appointments/etc. It’s also really hard to go back and look at past dates unless you literally click on it every single day in the calendar.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2021-11-09, version 1.97*

Calendar doesn’t show a month view. Have to click on every day to see what’s upcoming. Generally poor

### 1/5 — Can’t even create an account

*2021-09-15, version 1.94*

Can’t even scroll to the bottom of the app to create an account…..

### 1/5 — Not working

*2021-07-28, version 1.92*

Doesn’t stay on long enough

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-06-09, version 1.9*

No button to sign up after inputted all details. Pointless app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2025-01-26, version 2.18*

I keep getting logged out every time I log in.

### 1/5 — Hard to edit meds & it restarted my cycle

*2024-06-25, version 2.16*

The idea behind this app is great.
Considering what this app is used for… IVF cycles you would expect the developers know that sometimes things change day by day.
For example, yesterday I found out what day my egg collection is… yesterday was my last day of stim injections so I go to edit the medication to update the end date & it’s restarted my cycle saying I am now on day 1. It also unticks all the previous meds to do list.
It also sometimes takes forever to load.
I paid for the premium and will definitely have to cancel my subscription.
Its a shame because I would really enjoy using an app to track my IVF cycle.

### 1/5 — Invasive

*2024-02-06*

Asked really invasive questions about medical history including lab values and diagnoses, deleted profile 5 minutes after entering all my info in. Good features seem to be behind a huge paywall and on top of that I don’t like my medical information being accessible to unknown entities.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-09-01, version 2.13*

This app is absolutely terrible. It constantly freezes. I hate it.

### 1/5 — Slow

*2023-07-06, version 2.13*

Great app but it always takes 10 minutes to load the current calendar day, the app freezes a lot and is just slow no matter what I’m doing in the app

### 1/5 — Today’s 5/18 update broke the app

*2023-05-18, version 2.11*

Was great until today’s update now nothing works. Please fix ASAP!!!

### 1/5 — App constantly crashes

*2023-04-25, version 2.10*

Would love to start using this app and see what it has to offer but unfortunately every time I log in the app crashes.
Deleting it. So frustrating. No response from developer.

### 1/5 — Wanted to love it

*2023-01-27*

I wanted to love this app, it’s so cute but I literally downloaded it this morning and was even frustrated at the glitches back logging my periods this last year.
The interface is just not there yet.
It’s very laggy and not a smooth process. The more I tried to work in it- the more it was pausing to load and tell me “you tried too many attempts”… what does that even mean??? I tried too many attempts at adding my cycles?
The transition between dates and months on the calendar makes no sense and glitches bouncing from full month to week. It’ll skip back to an old month you were on but not the month you want to be on.
Was really hoping this would have been great for tracking our first IUI cycle.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We're looking to replicate the bug you received with "you tried too many attempts" so we can fix it - it looks as though you went back about a year. We're hoping that since you're mostly using the app for future dates within the next month or so, that you won't face that glitch day to day. Happy to hear any other feedback you have as we try to improve the app. Feel free to email us at info@embieapp.com

### 1/5 — Can’t even start

*2022-12-20, version 2.05*

Won’t send an email verification even though I’ve requested a resend 10 times now. Won’t even let me log in to start using to app. No user support either. Sad considering I was actually excited about using this.

### 1/5 — Useless if you have a penis

*2022-11-04, version 2.04*

There’s me thinking IVF, appointments, reminders, calendars and everything else fertility related isn’t just a woman’s job. As a wanna be dad this app excludes me. My wife can use it, but I get no access, and don’t get to be a part of it. App developers… it’s 2022.

### 5/5 — LOVE this app and I tell everyone about it!

*2023-03-24*

I was so pleased to find Embie as I embarked on my IVF journey about a year ago. Being so new to this, and slightly overwhelmed, Embie was a great platform to not only keep me organized with appointments and meds but to record my progress and seek info about the things my body may be doing/going through in this process.

Most recently, I have become pregnant through IVF and noticed that the app didn’t seem to be correctly reflecting this status. I reached out to the support team and was assisted by app creator/found, Ravid, directly. The help was quick, kind, and a resolution was provided via developer updates promptly.

Thank you, Ravid and the Embie team, for an absolutely wonderful and supportive app as well as your kindness!

**Developer response:** We're so glad you found us Christine! So happy for you and sending positive vibes for your pregnancy ✨ ❤️

### 5/5 — So glad I found it

*2023-01-06*

About to start a cycle and excited to have an app to track everything

**Developer response:** So glad to have you!! Sending you lots of luck for your upcoming cycle.

### 5/5 — Great App for IVF

*2022-10-01*

Love this app! Super comprehensive and has everything you need to track your IVF cycles. I love they community feature that allows you to ask questions and connect with the other women using the app. I also appreciate that they are constantly releasing upgrades and improving the app based on feedback. Even though my IVF journey is over for now, one feature that would have been a “nice to have” would be the ability to follow or search for certain users. It’s amazing to connect with other women and sometimes you want to follow up, offer words of encouragement and checkin on their journeys. Currently unless you favorited that initial conversation there is no way to find them again until they post a question. Again not a must have but it would go a long way to building a sense of community.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the feedback Arianda. We have been working on a community upgrade for a while now and hopefully it will release in early 2023. We're so glad we, and our community, could be a part of your journey. ❤️❤️

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2021-04-01*

I am so happy I have Embie, it allows me to be keep everything in app instead of going all over the place even though I love writing it down this is definitely a better alternative when I don't want to tote all my journals around. Thanks so much for this application, I can't wait to store more information. 💙

**Developer response:** So glad we can spare your arms the need to hold all that paperwork! Wishing you luck with your upcoming treatments ❤️

### 5/5 — Obsessed with Embie App

*2021-02-15, version 1.6*

I am about to start round 2 of stims and love this app. It is great to add in all meds and appointments, so I know where I am at for the day, and helps me keep on track with my meds. Highly recommend this app for anyone who going through IVF or infertility.

### 5/5 — Helps keep organized

*2021-02-15*

The Embie app is a great way to keep everything organized in a centralized spot...test results, side effects, medication dosage, and appointments. Staying organized is key to fertility treatments and Embie is a great way to do that!!

**Developer response:** So glad we can keep you organized Tay!! Wishing you luck with your next cycle.

### 5/5 — LOVE IT

### 5/5 — Informative & Helpful App

*2020-11-23, version 1.4*

There is a good community base and lots of love extras too like interviews with experts & the founder of the app. Marie

### 5/5 — Must have for women going through fertility treatments!
