### 3/5 — Design Suggestion

*2026-07-30, version 2.2.0*

I moved to this app from another, specifically because you all don’t store health information which I appreciate. I love the app and think the interface and look is really great, but one suggestion I have is to add an icon or specific indicator to the calendar so that’s it’s a clear distinction between when I’ve notated sexual relations in the journal vs. other things. When I’m trying to track my last sexual encounter it takes a while because I have to look through all the dates where I’ve marked something which is a bit frustrating.

### 3/5 — Constant subscribe pop up

*2026-04-12, version 2.2.0*

Like the privacy and tracking, however when i move the circle i kept getting “new ways to subscribe” pop up. it’s very annoying and im thinking about switching to another app because of this.

### 4/5 — Very easy app to use just one thing

*2026-03-27, version 2.2.0*

I started using this app when I heard my normal period tracking app was downloading and sharing women’s information. Anyways its a very easy app to use and the design’s great! Sometimes though i’ll forget to track my period for maybe one or two months and when I eventually remember, i log back into the app and all my previously tracked period are gone. There were times I needed to know my last 6 cycles but they were all gone! Thats the only issue I had with this app. Other than that, its perfect imo.

### 4/5 — For the Devs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2025-12-19, version 2.2.0*

Super happy I downloaded this app! It’s what I’ve been looking for. I just wish it had cycle predictions based on averaged data and a way to upload that data from other apps. If there was a calendar to visualize what the month looks like for me, I would 100% subscribe.

### 3/5 — The Pop Ups are HORRID

*2025-12-05, version 2.2.0*

Thought I liked this app, but jeez, the pop up’s every time I open the app or going to a different section of the app are insufferable. It’s nice otherwise, but I wish they’d stop or at least lessen the pop up’s trying to get you to buy something. It’s annoying.

### 4/5 — Privacy first? Yes pls.

*2025-11-20, version 2.2.0*

Love this app and how simple it is. Only thing i wish would change is how often the “new way to subscribe” popup comes up. I feel like I’m always seeing it and dismissing it to where it gets annoying and i don’t feel like using any of the other features like logging in my symptoms, etc.

Easy 5/5 ⭐️ if this change is made.

### 2/5 — Everything else is great.. except for the period tracking part

*2025-10-12, version 2.2.0*

For some reason it doesn’t save your period dates ?? Every time I’d go to “log period” it would end up disappearing the next time I logged in. Made it impossible to keep up with my cycle. The other features are okay. They give a lot of information about each phase of your cycle which is great but, the whole point of using the app is to keep track of my period. I triple checked multiple times that I actually logged the dates I started just for them to be missing later. Very frustrating. Back to Flo I guess.

### 4/5 — Great app, informative

*2025-09-18, version 2.2.0*

Super accurate and useful app. Provides great insight on the different phases of your cycle. My only criticism is that you can’t log your period for the week unless it has passed. If you know your cycle is going to be 5 days long you have to wait until after the 5 days to log that period. It just means you have to go back after the fact and risk logging an incomplete cycle. I look back at previous months and see that some are only logged as 1 day for that reason. Please allow for more user-friendly logging!

### 3/5 — Annoying

*2025-09-11, version 2.2.0*

I am going back to logging my cycle on paper calendar. It is so annoying to be prompted to view plans every time I log a symptom. I’m fine with the free features, but I am deleting this app because you won’t stop trying to get me to pay for it. If I’ve ignored the suggestion 10 times, having it pop up an 11th is not going to be the magic ticket.

### 3/5 — No Option for Pregnant

*2025-08-30, version 2.2.0*

It won’t let me log that I’m pregnant so it won’t keep saying I’m just maaaaad days late. I don’t need it to TRACK my pregnancy but I want it to acknowledge that the cycle has stopped so I can properly track bleeding during afterbirth. Needs that added for 5 stars. Otherwise great and no ads

### 3/5 — Calendar needs improvement

*2025-08-21, version 2.2.0*

This app does provide a lot of good information. My biggest issue is the calendar. Adjusting and setting period dates for some reason is very difficult and frustrating.

### 3/5 — recent update

*2025-07-15, version 2.2.0*

app works well and i enjoyed all the features i used to receive for free, now they're behind a paywall, cheaper than the original release for their subscription but still wont be purchasing and will most likely use other apps that offer more content without pay

### 2/5 — My account disappeared

*2025-04-04, version 1.9.1*

I was loving the app then went to log my period and my account is nowhere to be found. So where did my data go? I deleted and erased my other period tracking apps so that I could keep my stuff secure and now I have months of data just disappear?!?!?

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2025-03-28, version 1.8.0*

I was excited to download this for everything it promised—private data, symptom tracking, phase and hormone explanations, and so much more. And all free!! That was emphasized in the video I saw. I was excitedly waiting for new updates. "Would they add more symptoms to track? I can't wait for the library!"

I looked today and see a new "feature" offering to become a member. I understand companies need to stay afloat, but it's very misleading to advertise a free service and emphasize that by saying every menstruating person should be able to have access to private tracking.... only to turn around and paywall any new or useful feature. Very very disappointed; feels like every other tracking app now.

### 5/5 — Useful!

*2025-03-08, version 1.7.0*

This app is endlessly helpful. It confirms things I already knew from my own experiences and explains why these things happen and how I can help myself navigate them. I've been using Embody for two months and I've loved it since the first week I opened the app. Not to mention that they committed to keeping your information private, that's the initial reason I got the app, but there are so many other reasons to love this app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — doesn’t save data properly

*2025-08-26, version 2.2.0*

doesn’t save your data properly and also if your periods are irregular, the tips and cycle phases aren’t helpful anyways

should put a reminder on the app to make sure to periodically at least export your information. my phone had a glitch and all my data for this year is gone. since my periods are irregular, i heavily rely on knowing when my periods end

i should’ve exported, i didn’t realize the data was not being backed up

### 1/5 — Horrible.

*2025-07-31, version 2.2.0*

If you have an app that works for you, don’t switch to this one. When I go to log my period, it doesn’t track how it’s supposed to, so looking back I can only see the day it started. My cycle is irregular, so I use apps to track for me, and this one completely erased my progress. I now need to find a new app and start over from scratch there. And to make matters worse, they’ve added a premium feature. Thanks so much !!

### 1/5 — only “free period tracking” app where you have to buy a subscription to get regular features

*2025-06-04*

have had embody for the last 7ish months and have loved it, i rely on my cycle tracking apps daily, something i LOVED about embody was that originally they said “youll never need a subscription to use our features” then it was “you wont lose any of your original features, just gain more” now to see the small articles to help navigate different cycles are a completely paid for feature, honestly i would’ve contributed in any other way but a monthly subscription that cost as much as Flo and Clue is just not happening, sad to say i wont continue using

### 1/5 — logged period

*2025-05-30, version 2.0.2*

im deleting because for one reason it doesn't keep my logged period they keep disappearing its annoying when i cant see the last period date
go ahead and keep that flo app because im going back to that app

### 1/5 — Confused

*2025-01-27, version 1.7.0*

This app is so confusing?? I want to see which days I was ovulating in January but I can’t figure out how to click on a day and see which days are ovulation days. It seems like I need to open the app every day to see “todays phase”

### 1/5 — Too complex

*2025-01-22, version 1.7.0*

I ditched my other app because I fell into the TikTok hole…this app is way too complicated and not easy to use. I honestly hate it and don’t recommend it. I miss my old app.

### 1/5 — unable to get started

*2025-01-17, version 1.6.0*

the app has you select all days from your last period but doesn’t allow you to scroll further back than six months. i planned on using this to track my spotting and hormonal symptoms while on birth control but i can’t even get started! i love the idea of this app and the privacy of it but now i’m forced to continue using flo. seriously disappointed.

### 1/5 — Hard to use

*2024-12-16, version 1.4*

I’m not sure how to read the calendar. It’s also really bad at predicting my periods. Usually more than a week off.

### 1/5 — App crashed? Lost my data

*2024-11-29, version 1.3*

Been using for a couple months after hearing good things about this app. Went to update today and to clarify it was working fine yesterday but when I opened the app it said “there was an issue decrypting your data or data was corrupted”

Yeah that not gonna work for me. Luckily I have only been using it for a little bit so not much was lost but now I don’t think I will be back I didn’t even know this was a possibility. I’ve never had something like this happen in my 15 years of app use.

### 2/5 — Subscribing to use the things that were once free..

*2026-01-08, version 2.2.0*

I’ve used this app for so very long and I remember the thing that first made me get it was my privacy being protected! I applaud the company for this 🙏 However when I first wanted this app the only things I really need were to log my dates and log my symptoms to check my period consistency. But now I can only log dates, I can use my regular calendar for that unfortunately.. The removal of logging symptoms from saving dates, has made me delete the app. I would have kept using it if premium didn’t include logging symptom and was free to use.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Informative and easy to use!

*2026-03-16, version 2.2.0*

This app looks attractive and has streamlined, easy-to-use features. I love the added information about the emotions/seasons of my cycle! The gender-inclusive language is important as well, and I’m so grateful for the dedication the design team puts forward for their users.

### 5/5 — Love the app! One recommendation…

*2025-09-17, version 2.2.0*

I downloaded Embody after seeing a Tiktok from the creator, and really resonated with her beliefs and intentions with this app. My only suggestion is to build in a feature to log contraception pills and give notifications. I currently use the health app, but wish that Embody utilized this too.

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2025-06-04, version 2.0.2*

This app is great!! It’s super user friendly and reliable. However, I do have one suggestion, which is adding a birth control setting. I just got an IUD and I would love an option to log my symptoms to get a more accurate cycle.

### 5/5 — Actually the best app that I’ve used to log my period!

*2025-05-06, version 2.0.2*

This app is always accurate and i love how it tells you what to expect during your period. I love that a woman made this app because there is just an understanding. Thank you

### 5/5 — Genuinely love this app

*2025-05-05, version 2.0.1*

I learned about this app through its founder on TikTok and I just love it. I used Flo before and feel so SO much safer in terms of privacy of my info. I’ve actually been able to learn more about each phase and the recommendations it gives on what to do to help through the phases have been so helpful. Overall it’s so educational while not being overwhelming and very easy to use!

### 5/5 — Thankful for this app

*2025-05-04, version 2.0.1*

I’d never logged my period in an app because I had some serious privacy concerns about that information, which only got more real in the post-dobbs era. I was really happy when I saw this this app launched and was a pretty early adopter. It has been a really lovely UI and a good overall, but the most important thing about it is that their mission is the privacy and security of my health information.

### 5/5 — Life Changing

*2025-03-22, version 1.8.0*

I’ve used Flo for years to track my cycle but I always felt I had to dig to find the information that Embody just readily gives to you as soon as you open the app. The app is so user friendly and as someone who has PMDD, the ease of tracking which part of my cycle I’m in has been endlessly helpful and literally life changing. I love how much information you’re given about any given point in your cycle with just the free version, I’ll 100% continue to use this app over other trackers and urge others who want to track their cycle to give Embody a chance!

### 5/5 — Wondering how to access journal

*2025-03-20, version 1.7.0*

I’ve been enjoying this app & getting more familiar with the layout over time. I sometimes leave notes and would like to reference these throughout the month- but am not seeing a centralized location where I can access the journal. Would love for this to be an added feature :-)

### 5/5 — My new period tracker

*2025-03-18, version 1.7.0*

I really love this app. From how it’s designed, to how it explains my period and what to expect. I love that it has suggestions on what to eat, what to look out for.

My favorite feature is you see a physical graph of your cycle day + a “ what to expect “ section and gives you an idea of what to look out for, like cramps, bloating, feeling sad, etc.

I’ve never had a period tracker feel so informative and helpful. I definitely feel confident using this app- coming from flo I never get pop up ads and I don’t have to subscribe to find useful information about my periods, sex life, etc.

Noting that, there is an option to add your symptoms and I mainly used Flo to track my sexual activity and it allowed me to see the days I was active- with embody you have to click on the days which isn’t bad! But maybe adding a physical feature would be helpful! Other than that it’s literally a 10/10

### 5/5 — love the privacy just needs more features

*2025-03-15, version 1.7.0*

i downloaded this app due to privacy concerns given recent changes in policy and the app is fairly easy to use. my only issue is i wish it had the ability to track my birth control and remind me the way other apps i had would. i'm on the pill continuously now so i do not menstruate but it's nice to know where im at in my pack(s).
