### 2/5 — They made a mid app worse

Overall it's fine but now they've added the stupid AI receipt scanning that not only doesn't work, but also locks you out from manually adding details until it realizes it's too slow to do it itself. Remove that stupid feature and just let me type in the value. Overcomplicating everything for no good reason.

I need to upload internet bills. This is great for things like restaurant receipts and awful for everything else. You can’t upload pdfs. If I convert my pdf to images, I can only upload 1 image so I can only do one page.

It’s as if a bunch of interns who have never submitted expenses in their life started a company and built this app. You can’t see vendors on the expense detail page, ‘smart’ pop ups make you wait and then make the information worse. Recipts don’t match and worse they are so blurry you can’t tell which is which, it fills email sigurates as details to add extra work to delete. For the love of god please someone vibe code a replacement.

This app is clearly not tested by real users before deploying updates. It is not functional, and often times whole operations in it don’t work. Split expenses, for example, don’t let you change the drop down options at all after splitting. 

New “AI” feature to add expense details from the receipt just spins for 10 seconds and then doesn’t do anything, and no option to skip it.

The idea is great. But it does not do what it’s supposed. It keeps throwing an error that a receipt must be attached, when a receipt is clearly attached. Support is no help.

No notification that abacus credentials no longer working. Reset password multiple times, works on Emburse desktop but not in app. Confusing and frustrating. Mobile version impossible to use to upload receipts.

The app is simple and easy to use. I love that I get a notification to remind me to take a picture of my receipt because I’m terrible at remembering. Using the app, I never forget to take a pic of my receipt and I upload it right away.
