### 4/5 — Great service!

*2026-08-23, version 6.3.2*

This is such a great resource for recipes that you don’t have to think about. And being able to send the list to the store is great. I do wish you could choose to add the side dish or not. I don’t always want the side and have to remember to remove those ingredients from the list. Overall this is a wonderful app!

### 3/5 — Recipes

*2026-08-05, version 6.3.1*

I’ve enjoyed using this app for years. I hope the update fixes the problems I’ve been experiencing. Saved recipes are duplicating and if not careful end up buying double of what I need and then disappearing after I’ve shopped and before I can make the recipe

### 3/5 — HEB Integration broken

*2026-08-01, version 6.3.1*

I love the convenience of emeals, it saves me from eating out so much! My only complaints are 1) they used to show calorie/nutrition info for all recipes and now it seems like only some of them have it. 2) my biggest complaint is that the HEB integration in the app isn’t working. I can use Instacart, but I prefer to order for pickup and I currently can’t do that

### 4/5 — Great!

*2026-07-27, version 6.3.0*

I really love using e-meals for dinner ideas and sending my shopping list to Walmart! I would like the recipes to have swap options for side dishes, like potatoes or salads etc.

### 4/5 — Game changer

*2026-07-25, version 6.3.0*

this app has been a game changer for me and my family. We are eating healthier, spending less time in the store and more time enjoying life.
I usually meal plan for the whole week and pick everything up at Walmart.

The app synced up to my Walmart app and makes it so easy! I went from part-time to full-time work and so it’s great to find a 30 minute meals, healthy meals whole 30 meals all set and ready to go.

I gave a meal plan on my lunch hour and pick everything up on my way home.

I have input personal recipes or used recipe ideas … but either way meal planning is done in just a few clicks.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2026-07-19, version 6.3.0*

I like the eMeals to help with forming weekly meal plans. Love the feature to make my shopping list. While being able to add into an insta cart seems helpful, it does mean more money to consider when doing your weekly budget. And, sometimes the button can get hit by accident if not careful that can get annoying and not helpful. Another feature that would be great is when forming the shopping lists to consolidate similar items into one. For example, this week, most of my items called for one onion. The one onion was separated into five different parts of the list instead of being 5 onions. This happens with multiple items. Ways to make it better and more efficient:). But, otherwise, great recipes and my family enjoys them.

### 2/5 — Stuck in May

*2026-07-17, version 6.3.0*

I have used this app for almost a year now and I absolutely loved it…until now. My app has been stuck in may for over two months. I believe it’s stuck on May 6th and it is now July 17th. Very disappointing.

### 5/5 — Subscriber since 2007 and it is still awesome!

*2026-07-16, version 6.3.0*

I tell people how awesome this app is every chance I get. So great not to have to plan meals, go in a grocery store, or wonder what’s for dinner! eMeals has taken care of it all! 100% worth the subscription!

### 4/5 — Great meal planning app!

*2026-07-13, version 6.3.0*

This app makes planning meals so easy. I love that the ingredients are automatically sent to my local Walmart and I can get everything delivered for each meal straight from the app. The recipes I’ve tried have also been very tasty. My only suggestion for improving the app is to add the amount needed for each ingredient to the step by step cooking mode directions so you don’t need to refer back to the main ingredient page to see how much is needed for each ingredient. Other than that, this app is great!

### 5/5 — Easy to use, lots of options

*2026-07-12, version 6.2.8*

I was skeptic at first because all the box meals are hit/miss, but this is a lot simpler. You can choose thru lots of options, save them for later, come back to ones you really like. Customize as you want. Import the grocery list to various shopping apps, then change the ingredients from there.

### 4/5 — Makes meal planning and grocery shopping easy

*2026-07-12, version 6.2.8*

Linking up with my Walmart and the ability to see multiple meal recipes and cook guide makes weekly meal plans a thing of the past.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-07-11, version 6.3.0*

I have been using emeals for years. The ease of planning, ordering and prep, relieves my mental load. Moving from full house to empty nest and adjusting portions and sizes works great.

### 3/5 — No longer works with Walmart so pretty much useless for us

*2026-07-09, version 6.2.8*

We enjoyed this when we signed up for a couple years ago, but last six months or so does not work with Walmart anymore and have tried reconnecting restarting reopening. Every possible thing does not fix it.

### 5/5 — Best Dinner Help Ever

*2026-07-06, version 6.2.8*

With a Busy and active family community events and business obligations, this helps take the stress out of planning the weekly menu. It really is a great tool!

### 4/5 — Using for years

*2026-07-05, version 6.2.8*

I love being able to meal plan with ease. The only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 is because it sometimes doesn’t reflect the weather. Summer and over 90 degrees and it suggests hot soups or winter and high of 40 and it suggests a week of salads.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scammy

*2026-08-05, version 6.3.1*

If I could give no stars I would. Besides not being transparent about pricing, they don’t really offer any value. Also after not being transparent about pricing they will charge you and refuse to give refunds on paid subscriptions even though I’ve canceled and I’m no longer using their “service.” Extremely disappointed. They definitely need to be more transparent with pricing and actually offer more for $60/month.

### 1/5 — Love the idea, but the execution is awful

*2026-08-01, version 6.3.1*

I did a free trial a while ago, but didn’t actually use the app or test any recipes. This week I decided to try using the app again and actually meal plan and prepare the meals, and I noticed several things.

1. I wish the app had an option to continue on a monthly basis instead of choosing 3 months or a year. I unfortunately am cancelling my membership primarily for this reason.
2. The AI doesn’t do a very good job creating lists from the recipes. It was really annoying to have to do the work of ensuring that the grocery items and their respective amounts actually line of with the recipes. From what I understand, that was supposed to be the whole point. But I wound up having to go through the list and manually make several changes. I really feel that I shouldn’t have to edit the grocery list so drastically. Also the fact that it includes recommended wine pairings in the grocery list is an obvious and obnoxious upsell.
3. The recipes don’t offer metric measurements, even though the ingredient list largely goes off of oz. Some of us still prefer to use and kitchen scale in the US, especially when making lists so we know we have the proper ingredient amounts.
4z for some reason when I chose my plan, it charged me twice: once for a yearly plan and once for a 3-month plan. I am still trying to figure out how to get refunded.
5. Some recipes available for 2 people are not available in the family size. It’s fine, but I have to do the math of doubling the recipes myself. Many recipes online allow you to customize based off of how many servings you want.
6. There isn’t a search function on the main page, which makes it hard to look for recipes you haven’t already saved.
7. I did the math on meal just for our lunch and dinner, and if I were to do a full week of recipes it would make our grocery bill astronomical. I ended up doing three recipes each and we’re doubling those in order to not have to buy a gazillion different ingredients each week. This makes it a bit more practical and affordable. I really wish they’d put an approximate cost per meal at the top of each recipe.

Overall I loved the idea of this app. It sounded game changing. But it is fundamentally flawed. I’m better off getting a few recipes online and getting my groceries delivered off Walmart. A little extra work, but I’m finding myself working extra with the app regardless.

### 1/5 — Good not great.

*2026-07-29, version 6.3.1*

The recipes are good. The variety is good.
Makes dinner easy.
I don’t care for the strong Walmart delivery suggestions.
I don’t care for the wine pairing added to my shopping list each recipe.
Needs to be an option to change side dish or drop it all together.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2026-07-17, version 6.3.0*

I love the concept, but half the time there’s an error sending my list to Walmart, and I have to start over. Forget it.

### 1/5 — App isn’t working

*2026-07-15, version 6.3.0*

Every time I try to select anything it says it isn’t working

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-04-16, version 6.2.2*

The app will add dozens of random ingredients to the shopping list. I had 9 12 oz bags of broccoli when I needed 3. 9 bell peppers when I needed 3. The list goes on and on. It’s to the point where it’s completely unusable. I reached out for help and was told I need to double check the list. But it’s very time I order that there’s a huge problem.

### 1/5 — Cost

*2026-04-12, version 6.2.2*

This looks like a great service, but I had to sign up for a 14 day trial before I know Price options. I had to go to Google and get all the information about what you offer.hiding your cost until you’re committed always makes me leery.

### 1/5 — Just use Pinterest

*2026-04-03, version 6.2.2*

I have been using the same meal plan app for years but wanted to try a little variety. I saw this one, so I subscribed to the free trial. If you’re going to create a meal planning app, include breakfast, lunch and snacks in the overall subscription. Or just in the 2-week trial. I was charged $39.99 just to look at the breakfast options. Not only did this frustrate but the app was glitchy. The search didn’t work and recipes were blank.

### 1/5 — FREE TRIAL SCAM

*2026-03-31, version 6.2.2*

I used the free trial for about 10 mins before I realized that the app wasn’t going to work for my needs. Which is fine, however they charged my card immediately and refused to refund my money! BEWARE! If this happens to you don’t bother contacting these people, rather contact Apple who gave me a full refund immediately. So to sum up: this company could charge you before the free trial is up and the customer service sucks!

### 1/5 — No refunds period

*2026-03-13, version 6.2.1*

They don’t have a reminder that your subscription is coming up, and they will not refund even if you email and explain the mistake. I got charged for another year and havent used it for the majority of my original year purchase. I’m sure they can see that. Unsatisfied with customer service.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Time saving! Great value!

*2026-08-22, version 6.3.2*

I’ve been using eMeals for the over a decade. It saves me time, stress, and money!

### 5/5 — I have been using it for years

I started using emails around the pandemic and I have come back a total of three times already love using the service

### 5/5 — Member for over 10 years - love it!

*2026-08-10, version 6.3.2*

I’ve been using eMeals for over a decade and love being able to put together a weekly meal plan with very little brain power. It saves me so much heartache!

### 5/5 — Can I give higher than a 10?

*2026-07-31, version 6.3.0*

I think I’ve been using emails for well over 10 years. At this point, I don’t know what I’d do without it. It’s come a long way with the app and having the whole shopping list by aisle. I love the variety and the recipes have just enough of a twist to keep them interesting. My whole family loves it.

### 5/5 — Emeals has changed our life!

*2026-07-29, version 6.3.0*

Amazing meals, so many options. We weren’t great cooks before, but now we cook a variety of food that everyone likes. We don’t even want to go out to eat anymore. As a busy working mom, I’m incredibly thankful to have found Emeals.

### 5/5 — Devoted Customer

*2026-07-24, version 6.3.0*

This app saved my life over 10 years ago. As a young mom trying to work and be in charge of a household I found grocery shopping and meal planning daunting but this app was a god-send! My husband was so pleased with the new variety of flavors he got to try. It opened my family’s palate for sure. Then the convenience of sending my grocery list straight to the store and all I have to do is pick it up or get it delivered has been amazing! I’m a very happy customer and EMeals is part of my life. I don’t know how I would live without it!

### 5/5 — Great!!!

*2026-07-18, version 6.3.0*

I’ve been using eMeals for years now. They recently implemented improvements that were suggested in the Facebook group. I love that they listen to feedback and it is super convenient!!!

### 5/5 — Nag screens

*2026-07-17, version 6.3.0*

The constant Walmart nag screen really are bad. I’m constantly undoing an inadvertent click to send grocery order to Walmart! Once I say no I’m not changing my mind.
I’m also not happy the way the grocery order wants to add 6 bottles of wine to the list!
Some of the ingredients are getting crazy too. Lemon garlic hummus? Ginger coconut rice? Why? You can’t find that. No I’m not going to Walmart.
Anyway, we love eMeals and will continue using it but please be considerate.

### 5/5 — Great tasting recipes

*2026-07-17, version 6.3.0*

Not only does eMeals offer a variety of different full-meal recipes, main course and side, each week, all that I’ve tried have been very good, easy to make and easy to double for a larger meal. I love that it adds all the ingredients to my shopping list with the ability to easily remove ingredients that I already have, and then I can send it right to my selected grocery for pick up or delivery. My new favorite way to try new recipes and grocery shop!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-07-16, version 6.3.0*

This makes planning your weekly meals super easy!! Takes the stress out of it!
