I have never rated an app before, but this app is simply unusable. Like others have stated in their reviews “the app states it needs to update but then gets stuck in the downloading update screen”. It has been like this for at least a month now. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Deleting the app and redownloading it doesn’t work and still says an update is required and then gets stuck again. Even when it was working the user interface was horrible. The drop down menu would get stuck and block the screen requiring you to close and reopen the app. Being a 3rd year medical student I constantly need to have access to my calendar and I have had to resort to taking pictures of my calendar off of the desktop site since this just doesn’t work. Emedley in a whole including the desktop version is a cheap and inferior alternative to MUCH better options such as blackboard or canvas. It seems like they are purposefully trying to hide announcements and homework due dates so it is very easy to miss assignments or announcements. If your school switched to this program I’m very sorry.

This app barely works. Half the time you try to open it, it says an update is needed but then no matter how many times you try to download the update it doesn’t download it. Also often have to delete and redownload to log in or you get stuck. This is not a helpful app and it’s really annoying to use even when it does work, as it’s very glitchy and not user friendly.

Central Michigan College of Medicine switched from Canvas to this trash to save money. So sorry to anyone who gets stuck with this software because it truly is so terrible. 

80% of the time, I can’t even get into the app because I get stuck in a log-in loop. The only way to solve it seems to be deleting the app and redownloading. I have to do this about every other time I use the app. Seriously. 

Turns out getting stuck at the log-in screen is actually a mercy. Once you log in, you’ll be greeted by a clunky UI, calendar that hides half the events, document upload center that glitches when you scroll, menu problems that double the case logging time, poor document uploading interface, and a bunch of small things that aren’t worth listing but just make this service look bad. 

On top of that, professors have been outspoken that the UI is difficult to use from their side as well. 

Honestly, us reviewing this with much-deserved 1 stars won’t change anything though. Cheap schools will continue to purchase this and their students and professors will suffer the consequences as usual. 

You’ll get stuck using this because your administration doesn’t care about you and eMedley has no incentive to actually become a quality platform.

When I open the app it says I need to update to continue using. I click update now and then it says “downloading please wait” for hours. I left my phone sitting like this for hours and I came back and it says the same thing? I then deleted the app and redownloaded it hoping that would work. Nope. And when I attempt to login on safari it just takes me to the app, which won’t work. 
I typically don’t leave reviews but this app is so annoying it’s necessary.
