Damlama Government Secret Archive Records: Project Emerald Flower
Biological Origin and Reproduction:
The Emerald Flower (Stapelia Smaragdina) is a parasitic plant. Its origins date back to the Homo Heidelbergensis period. This species uses mammals to reproduce. Its transmission strategy relies on drawing humans in with its mesmerizing scent. When the victim smells the flower, microscopic seeds bind to the olfactory nerve, and the victim walks away without realizing it.

The seed penetrates the brain, feeding on glucose, and grows its roots down to the brainstem. Microscopic nanofibers seep into the synaptic clefts, taking over all of the mammal's instincts. At the end of this process, which takes about 2 weeks, the subject feels a need to consume four times more food than normal and a desire to remain naked.

Stages of Infection:
There is no turning back at this stage. The victim must remain emotionally stable; sudden emotions such as fear or happiness activate the flower. If the victim can remain stable, the flower spreads throughout the entire body. However, if the flower becomes active before spreading, it constricts the carotid artery (Arteria Carotis), cutting off blood flow to the brain and killing the host. Three hours after death, the flower emerges from the mouth and nose to bloom. If it cannot find a new host within 1 week, it dies. If a living being approaches the corpse, the flower releases its seeds into the air, restarting the cycle.

Should We Worry?
Humanity brought this nightmare under control years ago and wiped out its lineage by burning all of its members. Only a single seed is kept in a high-security laboratory. Every year, we celebrate the first week of August as "Emerald Flower Awareness Week."

Our government took a risk and launched Operation Lightning (Yıldırım Harekatı) against Alpu, destroying the laboratory. Documents were destroyed, and samples were confiscated. However, hundreds of thousands of civilians lost their lives in the resulting fires. The entire world condemns us.

State representatives united at the "Rope of Damlama" (Damlama'nın İpi) congress and declared war on us. The Damlama Government is now officially at war with the entire world.

We are in the 5th month of the war; the government fell in the 3rd month. Soldiers are committing massacres everywhere. This is now a vendetta. They threw my neighbor out the window just because he spilled coffee on a soldier. I beat up a grocer and stole tomatoes to find food for my 2-year-old son. I got beaten up, but my family and I are trying to survive.
