### 5/5 — Excellent for Predicted Log Racing

*2014-06-22, version 2.1*

In log racing we must record the time of day accurately at each of a number of check points. For those who are curious, predicted log racing is a boating version of car rallies.
This program does it accurately and is economical enough for everyone to use.
Good job!

### 5/5 — Another excellent App from this developer

*2014-02-12, version 2.0.7*

All the stuff you need for recording time for events.
Uses online atomic standard clocks if available for super precise applications.
Email results too.
We'll thought out.

### 5/5 — Fantastic for precision timing

*2013-10-15, version 2.0.7*

Everyone I've shown this to is impressed. It's better than a stopwatch because the times are not just relative but absolute and recorded. The sources of errors made by marking, reading and recording are minimized.
Can we learn a little more of the error and it's relation to atomic time such as is kept by NIST?

### 5/5 — Emerald Timestamp

*2013-02-23, version 2.0.7*

Excellent application. I'm using this as the time marker while learning celestial navigation with sextant.

### 5/5 — Use this every day...

*2012-06-01, version 2.0.2*

This APP is absolutely awesome. At first I thought it was just a lot of fun, which it is, but I have found I use it every day to track events, big and small.

You guys did a great job.

Thank you.

### 5/5 — Brilliant update

*2012-04-27, version 2.0*

Excellent upgrade with the predefined
button labels. Multiple "zero" times
is also very useful. I would also like to
be able to choose which fields are
exported.

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2012-01-04, version 1.4*

Been using it for a long time and it actually became much more stable under iOS 5. I use it to time stamp my
appointments with clients and it does it well. Just a tiny gripe - it needs to auto cap in Event description field.

### 5/5 — Great interval timer

*2011-10-08, version 1.4*

I used this to troubleshoot my furnace cycling times. I really appreciate the ability to go between wall clock and interval modes. I'm sure I will find plenty more uses for this great app.

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2011-08-19, version 1.4*

I have found this app very useful for timing our scientific processes such as random number generation yields and event time differentials applied to deep Arden Maps. When device triggered time/event logging isn't necessary (machines are more accurate than us mere humans) this app is excellent, is simple and clear, and has never failed.

### 5/5 — Fun Milestones

*2011-08-17, version 1.4*

A fun one-liner log: fun to stamp the log, edit the comment field and say what it was, worthy of a timestamp. Dunno as there's a better use, I'm using Timestamp to make tracks throughout the workday/workweek – it's easy to look at the milestones which meant something in the moment, planned or not. Setting a new zero point, and/or/but clearing the log for a fresh start is equally compelling. Just fun, like a stapler with a stack of Post-Its and a favorite pen.

### 5/5 — Works as advertised

*2010-05-23, version 0*

Decent app with dozens of uses. Would be nice to be able to select two events and see the time difference between them.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Note-taking keyboard response very slow

*2011-04-28, version 1.4*

See above

### 3/5 — Cannot set iPod to an accurate time

*2010-08-19, version 0*

This app is fine on its own terms, but the reason I bought it was to set the iPod time accurately, which it cannot do. Apparently the iPod is very primitive when it comes to keeping track of time, mine is usually off by 30 seconds which makes it useless for any kind of astronomical obversations.

### 4/5 — Great But

*2020-09-12, version 2.2.1*

This app would perfect if it supported separate lists of the times rather than combining them all - I would creat a list of medicines, lists of task completions for various projects , a list for workouts, a list for household chores, etc. etc.

### 4/5 — works well

*2017-06-26, version 2.1.3*

Thank you. Any plans for a widget? I think that would be a nice to have.

### 4/5 — Silly typo

*2013-10-30, version 2.0.7*

What is clearly the UTC setting is labelled EDT on my phone here in the eastern time zone a few days before we switch from daylight to standard time. Otherwise, the app appears to work fine.

### 4/5 — Functions as advertised

*2010-06-15, version 0*

This app does exactly what it says. It precisely marks the time of an event and lets you enter a description of that event.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-10-07, version 2.3.3*

This app is great. I use it to track symptoms I’m having and record their frequency. It’s a great way to show my doctor how frequently a symptom is occurring, and it is super simple to use.

### 5/5 — Very useful app

*2021-01-21, version 2.2.1*

I love this app! There is one feature I’d like to see: a display of the lapsed time between EACH button press. I know there is a setting for time between a single point in time and the button press time, but that isn’t as useful. Otherwise, a great app!

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to review! In the Options panel at the bottom is an option for "Allow Multiple Zeroes". This allows you to specify the "zero points" that you want, so by clicking the zero symbol on each event you'll see each event-to-event interval in interval mode.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2019-12-15, version 2.2.1*

Use this for logging milestones while travelling and for critical client calls, so I know when we spoke. Easy to use and accurate.

### 5/5 — Great App used in Race Timing

*2018-09-07, version 2.1.3*

As a race timer for over a decade, I’ve needed independent way to capture an accurate time of day. This app has been a near perfect solution. It has been worth the price. The only improvement would be making one of the volume buttons able to capture a time so I didn’t need to be looking at my phone.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Timestamp

*2017-10-27, version 2.1.3*

Only thing that could make this better is iPhone hardware button trigger. (Like the camera app can use the volume up button to take photos.)

Almost no difference compared to GPS 1 PPS.

A nice piece of work. Great for astronomy. With iPod Touch one cannot set the device's time precisely. This app takes care of that.

### 5/5 — Simple, works great

*2017-10-06, version 2.1.3*

Please keep up with updates. I have used this for many years!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2016-11-23, version 2.1.2*

Thank you for this app and keep the updates coming. Ironically I bought this app after my Casio G-Shock fell off my wrist and into the ocean. I always used the Time Memo feature on my wrist watch and was looking for a good high end watch when I found a link to the Emerald Geneva watch and the Emerald Timestamp app. Wow! What a set of Apps. I bought both the Emerald Timestamp and Emerald Chronometer (They have a cheaper Geneva App but I wanted them to keep creating watches so I gave them what I thought they were worth!) and I am very pleased. Maybe just maybe they could make the first watch created after an app! I LOVE IT!!! Thank you! Both Timestamp and Chronometer are A++ apps!

### 5/5 — Great for Interviews

*2016-11-17, version 2.1.1*

I use this to log live interviews for video news production. Wow, sell this app for this purpose and you've got a big hit. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Handy, Intuitive and Straight Forward

*2016-02-10, version 2.1.1*

Nice count up from zero feature.
Option to hide the time formats that you are not using.
I like that you can name the buttons. Or edit as you see fit.
Quick and Easy way to record and document any incident.

### 5/5 — 🔛

*2015-04-04, version 2.1.1*

Interesting Concept
