Bummer. Plz update your app, app dudes! Ty! ### 4/5 — Off Scale By Induction Cooktop *2017-06-18* On my iPhone 5 the 3 sensors are extremely directional. Checking my kitchen for HOT SPOTS, I discovered a TOTALLY OFF SCALE spot at the upper left front corner of my Kenmore Induction Cooktop even with unit off and safety ON. Strangely this Needle Pegged HOT SPOT is at the Kenmore Logo? I wish I knew why? ### 4/5 — Works alright *2013-08-02* I think the app is pretty good because when I tested it by putting a walkie-talkie close to it, the thing went nuts. I'm just confused as to why it stays around five most of the time. ### 4/5 — Works great but not as they claim *2010-10-25* It is a great iPhone EMF detector limited by the iPhone sensors- and so it can not plot the sine wave of an electric motor as the developer claims. No iPhone EMF app can have that ability. The outlandish developer claims dropped my review from 5 to 4 stars. In fact I haven't found any usefulness for this detector at all. It's the moving time line which sets this EMF detector apart from the others. It makes what ever you're testing more interesting- should a usefulness ever be found. ### 2/5 — Fake and gay *2010-10-15* Tested it and not sure if it's real or fake and gay like most apps on the app store ### 3/5 — Head of Potions *2010-02-27* Informative, well yes. Fun, certainly. Random, definitely. Accurate, not a chance. It will find a radiator ok, responds to microwave ovens (2.45GHz) but no discernible tend or anything like what could be called an accurate measurement. Electric cables, no response noticed. Never use it to check if a cable is live! ### 3/5 — magnetometer *2009-12-12* It's a magnetometer app; it doesn't matter if it reads in microteslas or milliteslas or megagauss. The mag is designed for DC but will read AC up to some frequency limit because it shows you a time series! It is not reading "electro" magnetic fields because it doesn't measure electric fields. Levels in my house it claims are 30.0 microteslas. Levels three blocks away directly under power lines = 20 microteslas (????). Fifteen blocks away, directly under cell phone tower =15 microteslas. In the middle of a completely wild wood, with no power lines or plumbing, or metal objects within 6 mile radius = 40.0 microteslas. Southern CA Edison came out and read my house and I had an average rating of the six. Unfortunately I can't remember the little digits after the six. Nonetheless with this meter it reads like a 20 then 30 then bounces to six then it bounced to 40. Again I don't know what the numbers represent and when I hit the info sign on the app that does nothing to give me any information. ### 1/5 — Do not buy *2014-01-18* It does not work at all. Rip off. As with other similar devices, holding the unit close to metal or the body(especially fillings) affects the operation, as does wifi. Never drops below 5 on the reeding. ### 5/5 — Great 3GS app buts needs some tweaks *2009-11-25, version 0* This is app actually works great, but it does require an iPhone 3GS to function. This should be made more clear to the buyer and the name should be changed to gauss meter because it more acurately describes what the app really does. An EMF meter reads AC signals and a Gauss meter reads DC signals. Since this app draws it's data from a magnetometer it's clearly a gauss meter which explains why it reads micro-tesla instead of milli-tesla like an EMF meter should. Those two issues explain away the negative feedback this app gets, this really is a great app for what it is. There are others like the a and e free one which stays at 0 and jumps when activity changes and when the fields are an exposure to people like wiring issues and wifi activity... Because this thing can detect metal the needles stays around 4. And when u hit exposure it goes back to 0 and above 7 for metal. Seperate the sensors. The metal detoctor keeps it at 40. If u look at the 3 colored lines you can clearly see them flat as if it were at 0. Turn the iPhone in different degrees and the lines changes . Each color for the iPhone degree adjustments along x and y. Z? Not unless apple makes -180 degrees (iPhone upside down) part of the regular ui framework. -180 is just an extra code jumble for os 2.2.1 and under. 3.0 sdk has the upgrade. I'm not tryen to pretend you don't kno what your doing because you do. visual studio/VB guy my self and critics make the long hours and soda, cavities and carpultunnel make it more then worth it. Make the metal detector seprate and your emf detector will be the best. It can read fields 10x stronger then the other apps. Almost as good as the real thing. Ghost radar is an app u should all try. It said somethings I couldn't believe. it told me where my keys were... I about soiled my self.
