Now with the updated export function, data is garbled and ununsable. Basically this makes the units themselves useless. Once the export feature is fixed, will update review. We want to take a closer look at the issue and work on a solution for you. ### 1/5 — Expensive and incomplete *2024-07-19* Linework available only with monthly or yearly subscription. **Developer response:** Hi Cp Nemo, thanks for your review. Yes, the linework is a part of the paid subscription plan. But with monthly billing, you can get it only for the time you need it. At the same time, all the basic functionality stays free. So you can keep working with the app as before without additional charges. ### 1/5 — Recent update issues *2024-07-16, version 10.9* This most recent update has some minor features I hope they take a look at and fix. -When changing a point number or description the whole text is highlighted with one click and easy to delete. I am used to adjusting point numbers by a few digits so this adds an extra step of making sure I deselect the whole text. -When typing a description or new point number I have to select the number keyboard for every single number. For instance; if I have to type a few letters followed by several numbers, I now need to type the number, it will revert back to qwerty keyboard without numbers, then I will have to select the number keypad, then another number, then revert back to qwerty keyboard Please adjust these, it makes my job a lot harder in the field ### 1/5 — Needs work *2021-10-22, version 6.9* This app is only useful for configuring your reach receivers and even then it’s not very intuitive or user friendly. There is a way to setup a corrections profile in the app but no way to send those corrections to your receiver so you must use another entirely different device for corrections. The survey function is the bare minimum and not useful at all so you’ll need third party software if you’re using this for real work. All in all the RS2 and this app barely scrape the surface of usable GNSS receivers and software. I was hoping for a bit better effort from Emlid to be able to compete with the big players in the space. ### 2/5 — No line stakeout in basic app *2022-12-14, version 8* I’ve been waiting patiently for a while to get line stakeout for my Emlid and when it finally comes, they want almost $50/mo on a subscription for it! I get dev costs, etc but I’m very disappointed because this is basic functionality that should come with the cost of the device purchase. However, we've noted your feature request for support for surfaces and will consider it in the future. ### 3/5 — Bug fix *2022-07-15, version 7.6* Hello, I’ve been using the app for a few months and last week I tried importing points to my project and I had no trouble. I used both methods: CSV and Shapefile, and had no issue. But today I was trying to import again some points into my project but I’m unable to. Neither with CSV files or Shapefiles, and I’ve done everything correctly so my guess is that there’s a bug since the last update, which was a day ago. I would appreciate if you could look into that as soon as possible. ### 4/5 — Solid hardware. Weak app *2026-05-03, version 14.12* The Emlid RS 4 and the Pro version are fantastic. I’m very impressed with its ability to stay Fixed, the ease of set up, and overall feel of the product. This app, the data collector app, needs work. The COGO tools are very limited. There is very little flexibility within the settings. The line work functions are limited. I ended up coding a COGO tool to make up for it but the addition of a few simple COGO tools would quickly bring this product up to 5 stars. ### 4/5 — So Far, So Good *2025-08-08, version 13.8* I’ve been using this app quite a bit lately with my Emlid Reach RS3 GNSS receivers and, overall, I’m pretty happy with it. My only gripes are: 1) I’m not at all a fan of subscription-based services, and the free version just doesn’t have all the features I need. I don’t mind supporting development of a product that I find useful but I would much rather pay a one-time fee and be done with it for a while. 2) The Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity can be flakey and the connection sometimes drops for no apparent reason or the app can’t find the receiver. Also, if a Reach receiver is joined to one WiFi network and then moved to another network, it usually doesn’t connect correctly without a reboot. I’m not sure if the problem is with something in my network setup or the device firmware or something else but it can be a problem. This is my first GNSS RTK equipment so I don’t have anything to compare it to but, in general, I like this app and hardware and it seems to keep getting better. ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Latest update broke data export-RESOLVED! *2025-04-12, version 12.1* UPDATE: Reached out to support and was able to resolve the issue. App is working as normal and able to provide needed data. Support was both quick to respond and very helpful. The import of DXFs only takes into account points. We implant lines, arcs too but as ReachView cannot import lines and others, we are obliged to use other applications such as: Survey Master, Landstar, etc. ### 5/5 — Bad app and bad support *2021-11-19, version 6.10* Bad app and bad support ### 5/5 — On path for a construction takeover *2021-10-14, version 6.9* Emlid is rapidly adding features that have taken their survey equipment from a limited use case for drones, to a nearly full featured construction grade GPS. I use the RS2 nearly every day and the ease of use is fantastic. ### 4/5 — Bug to find a receptor via Wi-Fi *2024-12-16, version 11.7* When the M2 antenna is connected to a Wi-Fi such as my phone, I cannot find it via the app. It still works in Safari but not via the EMLID Flow interface. Probably an issue with the ip scanner ? Can you please fix it ?
