Do you know that there are more than 3000 emojis out there? That's why often it's really hard to find the one that perfectly fit our emotions. With EmojiFinder you can just type a word (for example happy, sad, golf, eggplant and so on...) to see all the related emojis. And the best part? It is completely offline and don't require full-access mode like all the other third-party keyboards out there so there's no way your data will ever leave your device. If you're looking for an app to quickly access emojis from the OS level, this one does it and does it well... and free. Absolutely grab a copy. I love that you can add custom tags to each emoji to make search quicker because there are definitely some missing defaults but a simple click and it’s customized to the way YOU think about a particular emoji. I use this app at least 100x a day. It does everything I need it to and does it well. And it turns out, that when I reached out for help the developer was quick to respond and kind - which can be a rare thing even with paid apps no less an app that's free. ### 4/5 — Pretty good, but one or two issues *2026-07-06, version 1.3.5* There are some icons which cannot be searched for, for example, the Norway flag cannot be found by searching “Norway”, whereas it can using the standard macOS emoji finder. Underrated! *2024-12-18, version 1.3.0* This app is criminally underrated on the App Store! It’s amazing to have a simple shortcut to open the selector. Then, selecting an emoji plops it right into whatever field you have active in any app. I have searched for a similar app on Linux and Windows; there is no competition. It’s incredibly handy when adding emojis to chat where there is no built-in emoji picker (like the :emoji: shortcut in Discord or Slack). That being said, my previous review was based partially on user errer and partially on a simple change that the developer, in my opinion, should make to avoid confusion. I had intended to only remove it temporarily. Since I have it set not to show up in the menubar and now I no longer have a keyboard shortcut, there's no way for me to access the app. Launching it direclty does not open any sort of window and since I can't get to the window I have no way to reassign a shortcut or return it to the menu bar. Uninstalling and re-installing did not help (I may have to clear out some setting files that remain in the AppData folder to regain access). Suddenly invisible. Will not open.. because it is already open! Does not appear on Force Quit menu. Cannot be deleted because its open?!?! What is this?
