Really useful! *2020-05-22, version 2.1.1* It works just like it should. I feel like there are some minor interface behavior changes that would really finesse it and make it super smooth. And if you have an iPhone, this may as well be a must have. On the other hand, if you try to use this on an iPad, the keyboard’s keys end only partially filling the keyboard area of the screen. Will not open.. because it is already open! Does not appear on Force Quit menu. Cannot be deleted because its open?!?! What is this? I had intended to only remove it temporarily. Since I have it set not to show up in the menubar and now I no longer have a keyboard shortcut, there's no way for me to access the app. Launching it direclty does not open any sort of window and since I can't get to the window I have no way to reassign a shortcut or return it to the menu bar. Uninstalling and re-installing did not help (I may have to clear out some setting files that remain in the AppData folder to regain access). Mas parei de usá-lo pois constantemente ele faz outros apps do Mac apresentarem mal funcionamento. ### 3/5 — Please allow for custom keybindings *2021-03-21, version 1.1.1* Please developers - you've got the most usable emoji app on MacOS right now but I can't use it beacuse of a keybinding conflict and the conflicted keybinding is more important to me than emojis. I'd change this to 5 stars if that was available. I particlarly want to use [fn .], [optn .], or [cmd .] like Windows ### 4/5 — Pretty good, but one or two issues *2026-07-06, version 1.3.5* There are some icons which cannot be searched for, for example, the Norway flag cannot be found by searching “Norway”, whereas it can using the standard macOS emoji finder. If you're looking for an app to quickly access emojis from the OS level, this one does it and does it well... and free. Absolutely grab a copy. I love that you can add custom tags to each emoji to make search quicker because there are definitely some missing defaults but a simple click and it’s customized to the way YOU think about a particular emoji. I use this app at least 100x a day. It does everything I need it to and does it well. And it turns out, that when I reached out for help the developer was quick to respond and kind - which can be a rare thing even with paid apps no less an app that's free. ### 5/5 — amazing *2025-11-27, version 1.3.3* Abhorrently underrated. Underrated! *2024-12-18, version 1.3.0* This app is criminally underrated on the App Store! It’s amazing to have a simple shortcut to open the selector. Then, selecting an emoji plops it right into whatever field you have active in any app. I have searched for a similar app on Linux and Windows; there is no competition. It’s incredibly handy when adding emojis to chat where there is no built-in emoji picker (like the :emoji: shortcut in Discord or Slack). The complain I see is that the shortcut is not working there -- but you can reset the shortcut to your need! However, I find it pretty useful for my purpose! It's very easy to install -- just like the other MAS apps. Initial shortcut is just as it has shown in the pictures. But you can change it to your likeness! I love it ! And also recommend it! ### 5/5 — Great emoji app *2021-07-09, version 1.1.2* Of several emoji search apps for the Mac, I like this one the most. Please add the ability to copy an emoji to clipboard or insert into the current selected text field when I double click on an emoji or even both at the same time. Maybe an option to choose between copy or insert on double click of the emoji or an option for both. I don't like having to copy the emoji with a keyboard shortcut. Most of the time I already have a field of text selected when I bring up the popup emoji menu. ### 5/5 — Best 'side car' kayboard *2021-03-24, version 2.2.2* iOS built in emoji search is the best but I can't live without Fleksy keyboard gestures.
