However, it doesn’t anymore. It crashes every time when I try to open it. Please fix it! I need to read my books! ### 1/5 — Never actually loads books *2022-06-23, version 3.1.26* Just sits at validating with server. Takes 10 minutes to even get that far. Books will just load for hours, never allowing you to open them. Sometimes books will just disappear for a day or two. What you save in money you lose in time and stress. This company really ought to refund customers. Unfortunately, their App Support leads to a broken link. Jokes on you, the system is down. Need to write a report using the book. Jokes on you, the system is down again. No way of contacting support or reporting bugs to developers. Last feature update was over one year ago despite multiple complaints about the clunky way of annotating. Annotating appears to be an afterthought which is really unfortunate. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2021-11-28, version 3.1.19* This app is significantly less efficient than any other method of reading. Highlighting options are terrible and hardly work. No option to mark up pages with Apple Pencil. Chapter / table of contents layout is confusing, over complicated, and wastes your time. Overall, highlighting feature is garbage making textbooks a waste of money. ### 1/5 — Unable to access purchases *2021-11-26, version 3.1.19* I specifically purchased the ebook option for 3 texts in order to access the texts immediately. Unfortunately, every time I attempt to access the texts I am greeted by a white screen and the app crashes. Now I am without the texts and short on change. I’m a university student who has been using digital textbooks for years. most of the time you receive a file that you can highlight, annotate, read of multiple devises, and read aloud. this app supports absolutely nothing. you can barely select text to copy. it has lathe if annotation abilities. it takes forever to even load and open the book you likely paid over 100 dollars for. i would rather swallow gasoline than use the emond reader interface. i’d rather go to my school library, scan the 900 pg textbook and create a usable PDF than deal with this app for the rest of the year. i hope the publisher and app designer sleep knowing that they have taken any remaining joy out of reading and learning ### 1/5 — Literally the worst app in the world *2021-09-14, version 3.1.14* Cannot believe that I thought this app would be functional. Emond, if you are reading this review. Please fix your app. I’m running an IPhone 13 Pro Max on iOS 16.2 and have been unable to open your app for MONTHS. Download the app try to open the book in the app, but then it prompts me to open the book in the app…..when I’m already trying to open it IN THE APP. Also does not offer split screen support or voice reader functions.
