## What is emorel?

Check in once — a mood, what was behind it, a line if you have one.
What comes back is not a blank page. It is an edition written for you that day.
Most apps hand you an empty page and wait. emorel does the writing, from the material you gave it. Nothing is invented.

FREE, EVERY DAY
· Daily check-in — ten moods, ten triggers, a short note if you want one
· A short daily edition, published the same day
· Care reads — a few picked for how you feel today
· Save what you like; keep a calendar of the days you wrote, with a quiet count of the days in a row
· Home widget, sepia theme, your own photo as today's scene, share cards

EDITION — free for 14 days
· The full daily edition: a pixel-art cover and four sections — reflection, weather, practice, closing
· Weekly edition — what the week held, and what shifted inside it
· Monthly magazine — a month collected into one piece
· The full Care library: 300 reads with search — breathe, read, reflect, sleep
· Five editorial voices — warm letter, calm observer, poetic, honest friend, gentle coach — or a different one each day
· Writing that comes closer to you: now and then it returns to something you wrote a while back, the third section changes shape from day to day, and your own words stay your own — write that you were wiped out and it comes back as wiped out, not tired
· EDITION freeze — miss one day in a week and that count carries on

WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH
Life with a pet, a relationship, a loss, a move. Name the thread you are in and each day is written through that lens. What gathers there becomes that thread's keepsake. Set it aside or change it whenever you like.

FIVE LANGUAGES
English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish and Traditional Chinese. Your editions are written in the language you choose.

QUIET BY DEFAULT
An evening reminder to note the day. A word when the weekly or monthly is ready. A gentle check after a few blank days. Turn any of them off and it stops arriving.

EDITION is an auto-renewing subscription that starts with a 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime in your App Store settings.

emorel is a journal for noticing how you are, kept in your own words. It is not medical or mental health care and is not a substitute for it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.10 — 2026-08-17

In this issue

• Picking a mood now glows in that mood's own color — the check-in unfolds gently, in reading order.
• Care's "today's reads" are truly yours now — chosen from today's mood and its reasons.
• Screens no longer overlap in transit; weekly and monthly arrive as softly as the edition does.
• Thirty evening reminder lines — a month of evenings without a repeat.
• The cover of a 14-day month speaks like a magazine.

### 1.1.9 — 2026-08-13

In this issue

• Your photos, inside the edition — the illustrations in weekly and monthly pages now carry a camera button, just like the covers and daily pages.
• Late-night entries find their night — writing past midnight files under the evening it belongs to, and the date on screen says so.
• The Care tab opens straight into today's reads.
• The library's mood summary now wears each feeling's color.
• Home arrives a little more softly.

### 1.1.8 — 2026-08-11

This update is about language — and about the days when your edition sounded a little too much like yesterday's.

• Traditional Chinese — the whole app now reads in 繁體中文, chosen when you first start or anytime in Settings.
• The third section no longer asks the same thing every day — some days a small practice, some days an experiment worth trying once, some days a question to carry until evening.
• Now and then, not every day, your edition returns to something you wrote a while back — only what you actually wrote, never invented.
• Your own vocabulary stays yours — write that you were wiped out and it comes back as wiped out, now in Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Spanish as well as English.
• Today's page keeps a quiet count of the days you have written in a row — and with EDITION, one skipped day per week is carried, so the count continues with nothing to set.
• Your photo on weekly and monthly covers too — the picture becomes the cover's paper and the title still sits on top. Past covers included.
• How emorel works now explains reading it again — where past editions live on the Shelf, and how to open a single day from the calendar.
• A calmer arrival — your edition settles into place section by section instead of landing all at once, and Korean, Japanese and Traditional Chinese type stands upright the way it should.
• Smaller repairs — a new name appears on today's page right away, and a new month no longer starts your edition over from the beginning.

### 1.1.7 — 2026-07-24

This update makes your editions feel more like you.

• Today's scene — swap the day's illustration for your own photo. Photos stay on this device and come back from your library after a phone change.
• Sepia theme — sepia ink on warm paper, for a screen that reads like an old letter.
• Your editions, redesigned — the monthly cover now takes on the month's emotional colors.
• Share cards carry the full edition, and past editions can be shared again.
• Reads picked for how you feel today, right on the home screen.
• The widget's mood graph, now in mood colors and roomier.
• A shorter start, and a fresh app icon.

### 1.1.6 — 2026-07-12

What's new

• Choose what you're going through. Pick a thread that's on your mind — a pet, a relationship — and each day is written through that lens. Give it a name and it carries into your writing, and into your weekly and monthly reports too.
• Added a "Changes daily" option to the emorel voice, for a different tone each day.
• The "Light" mood is now "Joyful" — so a good day comes through as it was.
• A quiet 8pm nudge to close the day by noting how it felt.
• A cleaner, full-width mood-flow chart.
