## What is Emotionary?

Some feelings don't have a name in everyday English. Emotionary gives you one, every day.
Each day, Emotionary sends you a single word, pulled from languages around the world, forgotten corners of English, or the language of psychology, along with what it means and a short line to sit with.
Open the app and discover a new world of meaning: the word of the day, its pronunciation, where it comes from, and what it can mean for you. Scroll down the page to continue learning and expanding your emotional vocabulary.
Where the words come from:
Wanderword: words from other cultures and languages.
Hidden English: words from beautiful, forgotten English.
Psychology: clinical terms made plain and accessible to you.
You can save the ones that hit different, and heart a word to come back to anytime.
Come back daily and watch your Emotionary App streak grow.
You can also turn any word into a shareable card and send it to a friend or post it to your social media.
Start free! Your first words are free. Unlock the full dictionary with Emotionary Pro.
Emotionary is for anyone who has ever felt something they couldn't quite explain. Download it and start expanding your emotional vocabulary, one word at a time.
