EmpaThink is an AI-powered emotion analysis app that helps you understand your emotional patterns through facial expressions, voice tone, and text.

Face Analysis
Capture a selfie, and EmpaThink analyzes your facial expressions using deep learning. Detects 7 core emotions: joy, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, disgust, and neutral.

Voice Analysis
Record your voice, and our AI analyzes your tone, pitch, energy, and tempo to detect your emotional state from acoustic features.

Text Analysis
Write how you feel, and our NLP model detects emotions and sentiment from your words, with word-level importance explanations.

Transparent AI (XAI)
Unlike black-box AI, EmpaThink explains WHY it detected each emotion:
  • FACS shows which facial muscles indicate each emotion
  • SHAP analysis highlights which words contributed to detected emotions
  • Acoustic feature breakdown explains voice-based detections

Emotion Refinement
After detection, choose from 60+ detailed sub-emotions like Tired, Grateful, Frustrated, or Anxious to capture exactly how you feel.

Live Camera
Real-time continuous emotion tracking with masking detection — identifies fake smiles and suppressed emotions using Duchenne smile analysis.

EmpaThink is developed as part of doctoral research on Trusted Empathic AI at the University of Sarajevo.
