### 3/5 — Good information,buggy app

*2026-07-04*

It gathers a lot of good data if you go full on and get all the bio markers filled in. The app itself though is buggy and sometimes doesn’t register when touched, or takes forever to load the pages. You update the to do’s and the numbers don’t change. If the to do’s are for specific tasks you can’t complete, then why add it to the top. I feel they have halfway finished the app and walked away. Get better devs to make the app fully functional.

**Developer response:** Thanks for trying us out! We'll fix that "to do" functionality. For the touches or slow page loads, can you email us at hello@empirical.health with any specific pages you're seeing?

### 1/5 — Seems inaccurate

*2026-07-02*

While the info from the bloodwork on different bio markers is cool, all the other info seems really inaccurate. It doesn’t connect to an oura ring but only an Apple Watch and it getting my data all wrong and making my numbers off as well. It’s just a robot, so there’s no nuance. It’s a no from me.

**Developer response:** Would you be able to email us at hello@empirical.health with details on where you're seeing inaccurate Apple Watch data? I'd love to fix the problem. (It's true we integrate with Apple Watch and not Oura.)

### 1/5 — Junk - Terrible app and support is even worse

*2026-05-22*

I have been using the free version for more than 3 months. Could never get my Apple Watch fully functional, despite the (half-hearted [no pun intended]) terrible support interactions, even when the team knew I was interested in upgrading to the paid service(s) if I could fully set up the app.

Example: the app says “you were in bed for 3 hours and 55 minutes and slept 7 hours and 19 minutes,” even though Apple Health, AutoSleep, Oura, and Whoop report credible values.

FYI - I transitioned to this app to replace the Cardiogram app (which actually worked quite well) when the developer discontinued it.

### 2/5 — Go back to the old style

*2026-04-22, version 2026.04.17*

Liked it better last week

### 1/5 — There are better

*2026-04-04, version 2.9.9*

Run down lab at bio reference, inscrutable interface in app to download results and no support. Basically sucks.

### 1/5 — Not Worth the Spend.

*2026-04-04, version 2.9.9*

Stick with the Apple Health app. I have found this app extremely simplistic and providing no more data points than Apple Health. Save your money.

### 1/5 — No Go for POTS

*2026-03-10, version 2.9.8*

Downloaded for POTS and CHOP protocol but without the ability to customize my base pace and other heart rate zones, my bradycardia prevents my ability to reach those zones. I unsubscribed and deleted

### 5/5 — Screenings

*2026-03-03*

Very helpful information on my watch and what they are able to detect

### 4/5 — Almost There

*2026-01-25*

I miss Cardiogram. Empirical is ok, but lacks the feature of having a family share option. With Cardiogram, my wife was able to check on my heart rate from her phone to see if I was in Afib. We really wish Empirical had that option. Please consider adding it! Thank you so much!

### 1/5 — Cardiogram

*2026-01-07, version 2.9.2*

I used Cardiogram for years. Loved it. Tried this as a replacement and it is not what I will be using going forward.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.08.24 — 2026-08-26

2026.08.25 fixes two bugs with in-app chat and downloading PDFs of results.

### 2026.08.17 — 2026-08-18

New features:
* In the advanced program, when requesting your next re-test, you can now select add-ons if desired.
* Every metric, grouped by body system. Metrics used to show a short list. It now shows everything we know about you — labs, wearables, and the numbers we calculate from them — grouped by the system of the body they belong to, with your heart attack risk at the top. Search from anywhere in the tab, and switch between compact rows and larger tiles depending on how much detail you want.
* Ask anything. The Ask screen keeps your past questions. Your recent reports are right above the box, so you can reopen an answer instead of asking again.
* Find healthy meals on a map. The meal finder now shows restaurants near you as pins on a map, with the ranked list in a sheet you can drag up from the bottom. Filter by what you care about — fiber, protein, saturated fat, sodium — and share a link to what you found. The list view is still there if you'd rather skim.

Bug fixes:
    - The Heart card could show a live heart rate above a chart that said no
measurements were found. The chart now follows your live reading, so it
    keeps up during a workout.
   - The Metrics tab paints as soon as your wearable data is ready instead of
waiting on your lab history, and loads faster on every visit after the
    first.
   - We fixed a small number of accounts where two people had ended up
sharing one login, so each person's results, name, and history are
now on their own account. If yours was affected, let us know.

### 2026.07.27 — 2026-07-30

2026.07.27 redesigns the metrics page and fixes bugs.

New metrics page:
  - Metrics are shown in a new tabular view by default, with searching/sorting/filtering. This makes it faster to see your data at a glance and drill down into specific metrics.
  - Percentiles are available for each metric on the detail screen
  - Custom reports are available by tapping the question icon in the top-right corner.

Major bug fixes:
  - Blank screens would sometimes appear on the iOS 27 beta, this is fixed.
  - Logging blood pressure would sometimes fail; this is fixed.

### 2026.06.29 — 2026-06-30

2029.06.29 has lots of new changes!
- Metrics screen
  - Dedicated report to guide nutrition given your biomarkers
  - New comparisons / percentiles view
  - Dedicated screen for wearable metrics
  - Redesigned metrics screen
- Fixes to labs draw scheduling and UX
- In-app upgrades from comprehensive to advanced membership
- Revamp onboarding
- Improve performance & load time

### 2026.06.10 — 2026-06-12

- Loading the app is now much faster and has less lag
- Redesigned the metric detail screen to show correlations and articles on metrics like ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, and more.
- Show absolute daily nutrient amounts on Nutrition Stats
- Some small nicities: loading stencils.
