We started Empower to help drivers who can’t make a sustainable living under the current rideshare model and to facilitate an alternative for passengers who want the convenience provided by on-demand transportation platforms, but prefer to support companies that have high ethical standards and treat all people with respect. Now first of all when I was Orlando on vacation I got assaulted by one your their driver he was demanding $7 tip from me because he had to wait 5 mins on me because of a pick up misunderstanding I apologize to that driver and notify him that I’m just a tourist. I emailed you guys and all now I haven’t received a response related to what had happened. Now today August 26 2026 another driver in Miami is going to say he picked me up when he didn’t then you guys are going to steal my money and lock my account the adacity!! Please to send me back my money… IF YOUR A FEMALE STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY ⚠️‼️‼️‼️‼️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ and there customer service is the worse you can never get to speak to a live agent. This app is clearly vibecoded.

One day they ask Claude, “make a sucesfull uber copy no mistakes” and this is the slop they produced.

The app charges you twice. Doesn’t detect locations. Drivers are able to act like they picked you up when in reality they didn’t (straight scam)

The arrival time for drivers are 10 minutes. Then 20 minutes. Is the only rideshare app where the waiting times go UP.

I would like to give a higher rating but the GPS doesn’t seem to be working well. When I put in a pick up address it put it’s around the corner from where I actually am. Also I’ve had two drivers cancel on me. The app said they had arrived and nobody was there because I was at the pickup point after walking around the corner

I have all the major ride-sharing apps installed including Uber, Lyft, Empower, and Throo. After comparing prices across all four, Empower has been consistently the cheapest, often by a significant margin. 

Every ride I’ve taken with Empower has been a great experience. The cars have always been clean and the drivers have been courteous, respectful, and professional.

I highly recommend giving Empower a try. It has quickly become my go-to-ride sharing app.

Just used this app for the first time in Dallas. They have like Uber and Lyft both standard, premium and XL options. The only thing to work on is the interface, and to also add option to give terminal/gate for airports. By the way GPS especially needs work. They should also give a picture of the car model.
