## Newest reviews (12 of 35)

### 3/5 — Poor for updates

*2024-07-12, version 1.0.2*

No new updates and the antibiogram is terrible on iPhone if and when it works

### 2/5 — No updates!

*2023-07-02, version 1.0.2*

Paying $10 a year for an app that hasn’t updated the guidelines for the newest hard copy of the guide that has been published. 20th edition is out and still no update on the app. Why pay the fee with no timely updates?

### 3/5 — Update?

*2023-02-28, version 1.0.2*

Would appreciate an update for the yearly charge.

### 3/5 — No update in over a year

*2020-11-23, version 1.0.1*

This was promised a constant update as things change. We’ve had no update in over a year but there is still a yearly fee to pay for the - never has happened - update.
App has been useful many many times, but it needs to be updated if you’re going to have a yearly fee for it.

### 3/5 — Update Please

*2020-11-08, version 1.0.1*

Requires annually fee now, but no updates in over a year and still needs bugs worked out.

### 2/5 — Filled with bugs

*2020-05-13, version 1.0.1*

App menus are slow, jerky and at time unresponsive. Unable to zoom in on reference tables or place phone in horizontal position to improve readability. IMO, it's best to get a hard copy to keep at your desk and pass over this app until they fix these nagging issues.

### 2/5 — Good but needs to be updated

*2020-03-15, version 1.0.1*

Like the no nonsense ease of use of the app but it needs to be updated to reflect current recommendations. A good example is pneumonia, out of date.

### 3/5 — Needs steady ABx updates

*2020-01-26, version 1.0.1*

Guidelines now recommend CAP be treated with 2 ABx but EMRA still recommends one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I still really like the app.

### 1/5 — EMRA rocks but this app does not

*2019-07-23, version 1.0.1*

I wanted to use it on iPad pro with keyboard. App does not work when iPad is in landscape orientation; it stays locked in default and everything is sideways. When i try to zoom in on the antibiogram on iPad or on iPhone, it only makes the freaking header text larger. All the tables are unreadable because you can’t zoom in. Useless, just buy the hard copy, dont bother with the app.

### 3/5 — Some good, some bad

*2019-06-20, version 1.0.1*

There are several mistakes in this guide. The premise is awesome, but the mistakes are not! It needs to be fixed!!

### 3/5 — Hugely overrated, don’t waste your money

*2019-05-20, version 1.0.1*

This app is almost a joke. The content is sparse, design amateurish, there are unreadable tables one can’t zoom into. Buy something serious, such as John Hopkins. Or use something free and great such as InfectiousDisease Compendium by Mark Crislip.

There is no trial for a reason. No professional would buy it. $10 wasted.

### 1/5 — Nope

*2019-02-19, version 1.0.1*

So design is more clunky and now more expensive and automatic renewal , lost me on this version and I have happily bought each one in past

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs better update

*2026-03-06, version 1.0.3*

The most recent update messed up the font sizing and format. Now it’s very awkward font size and difficult to read. Please fix this and update the anti-biotic guide.

### 1/5 — 4yrs no updates with annual fee?

*2025-01-17, version 1.0.2*

No update in 4 years and they still collect an anual fee! At this point I’m sure they are thinking why even bother if people keep paying. Pretty scummy to be honest.

### 1/5 — EMRA

*2023-07-10, version 1.0.2*

No update in 2 years. But I pay yearly dues for this. It’s easy to use but if they don’t want to update it, I can go to Epocrates or Sanfords.

### 1/5 — Not updated and not worth the dollar

*2023-04-20, version 1.0.2*

Not worth the dollar.

### 1/5 — Not for Primary care

*2022-04-09, version 1.0.2*

This app is not for primary care. Have to find correct information elsewhere so what’s the point. Don’t buy.

### 1/5 — Splash screen clicks.

*2020-12-21, version 1.0.2*

Please remove this splash screen with the new update. I pay a subscription.... I don’t need further clicks to get to the information I’m paying for.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2020-11-14, version 1.0.1*

No longer working after installing most recent iOS update.

### 1/5 — App won’t open

*2020-10-31, version 1.0.1*

This app no longer works...it’s been weeks it won’t open!!

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money on the app

*2020-09-29, version 1.0.1*

Don’t waste your money on the app. Most of the sections do not enlarge on your phone and the font is smaller than standard cell phone text font, so it’s really hard to read especially in a table. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing the app. If I could I would give zero stars. Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous purchase process

*2019-10-23, version 1.0.1*

I purchased this App when I had and Android phone. Now that I have and iPhone and download this same app, since they took their annual payment from me, I cannot is the app because they won’t recognize my phone. I filed a dispute to try getting my money back since i can’t use the app but they wont do it. I just keep getting an error message saying to repurchase the app agsin rather than just restoring the app under the money already collected. I paid thru paypal and have not been able to contact the app seller directly. So I was left with no other alternative but to consider this year’s payment a loss and cancel any further automatic transactions.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2023-06-15, version 1.0.2*

The tables are very helpful and easy to use.
It’s a good quick reference for what you need. Excellent for finding alternatives when patients are allergic to the usual one.
Definitely appreciate the pediatric dosing chart.

### 5/5 — Lifesaver

*2019-03-27, version 1.0.1*

I’m in PA school and use this for studying daily! It is such a great little app, and I know I’ll be using it in practice.

### 5/5 — So easy to use!

*2019-01-31, version 1.0.1*

I have been a fan of the book for years and even have attendings asking to borrow it. Finally downloaded the app and couldn’t be happier! It’s so much faster to find the related topic than flipping through a book and the displays are slick. In the app form, the updates are now more frequent instead of waiting for a reprint of the book. I encourage everyone to switch.

### 5/5 — A+!

*2019-01-28, version 1.0.1*

Outstanding product with plenty of pearls we can use on-shift!

### 5/5 — Evidence based, quick updates!

*2019-01-28, version 1.0.1*

Love that the new app rapidly incorporates evidence-based updates rather than having to wait for an entirely new version!

### 4/5 — Needs daily max dosages

*2025-02-03, version 1.0.2*

Good app, but lacks some clarifying information like daily max dosages and pregnancy ratings.

### 4/5 — Cefuroxime axetil is discontinued

*2023-11-06, version 1.0.2*

Cefuroxime axetil is discontinued in us but still listed as tx for abscess

### 4/5 — Good but needs update

*2023-09-19, version 1.0.2*

Agree the app needs an update as we are paying an annual fee. I used to buy the print version which was updated annually. The app is good and works well, but if paying an annual fee, needs we should be getting annual updates. Even additional guidance in the information sections would be helpful.

### 4/5 — Good guide but needs app updates

*2019-11-24, version 1.0.1*

The app is great but needs to be more user friendly and fix the little bugs like needing to click a little lower on the top buttons for them to actually be clicked and the scrolling bar almost in the middle of the screen when you’re reading about anything.

### 3/5 — Why is there a fee with no updates?

*2025-01-14, version 1.0.2*

The app is useful, but why is there an annual fee even though there have been no recent updates?
