Great format. But has issues that discourages more than helps. There are incorrect answers with both correct or incorrect explanations, a lot of typos and unfinished sentences. The daily quiz repeats the same questions each day. They never respond to emails about fixing errors with the questions. The app seems to have been abandoned completely by the developer. Instant feedback is great - but often does NOT clarify enough detail why some answers were wrong I also seriously wonder how up to date the answers are. They seem to conflict with what I think is current curriculum teaching & NREMT standards. Not sure I trust it. I do like how this app is set up and the questions are phrased differently, which will help for retention and on test day. However, there are a LOT of spelling errors and flat out missing words that can cause you to answer incorrectly because you don’t know what it’s asking (word missing). The spelling errors are things like expect instead of except, among other things. Not a deal breaker by any means but the cost of the app definitely does not lend itself to the obvious lack of proof reading. ### 1/5 — Stupid pop up window kept popping up! *2022-10-06, version 5.0* So 1 Star it is ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time. *2022-09-02* I was really hoping this app would help out. Having an app with “1700” questions with me constantly sounded amazing but they ask one or two question at least twice in the same test. They also have DIFFERENT ANSWERS for the same question. 90% of the questions have an explanation on why this is the answer.. but then 50% of the explanation just asking the question again. It’s completely confusing and the answers are out of order from the explanations given. ### 1/5 — Didn’t helped *2026-07-18* This app has absolutely different questions as the nremt exam has, it even similar, I used the app a lot but also used other apps and my study book, used pretty much everything I could. This app didn’t contribute for me to pass my exam. Also after a wile you start realizing that the questions are all the same/ similar. Too expensive for not contributing to my success. I would not recommend this app. You will not pass if you just use this one and there won’t be any questions/ or similar on the exam like here. They also charged me again after i canceled my membership. It’s a scam, has nothing to do with the test at all. ### 1/5 — Use App at own risk *2026-06-01* I purchased this app expecting accurate content and a quality learning experience, but encountered numerous issues, including incorrect answers, inconsistent explanations, spelling mistakes, and formatting errors. Some questions were especially confusing because answer choices and explanations did not match. After noticing these problems, I found that many other users had reported similar concerns. I contacted the developer, but instead of directly addressing the issues, I was asked to document them in an Excel spreadsheet, which felt like shifting quality-control responsibilities to customers. When I requested a refund, I was told it could not be provided due to Apple's policies. Regardless of the reason, customers may end up paying for a product with known issues and limited resolution options. Before purchasing, read reviews carefully and do your research. Based on my experience, the reported content and formatting problems appear to be widespread, and other apps may offer a more reliable experience. ### 1/5 — This app sucks *2026-02-26, version 9.3* I don’t recommend Do not purchase this app it’s not worth. Mistakes are very common here ### 1/5 — Simple errors *2025-12-23* This app has simple errors everywhere. Like it asked me for OPQRST, tells me I’m wrong and in the explanation says what I had selected. Many answers jam all the words together so you have to figure out what it says. Lazy stuff. Questions are also repetitive with a lot of recycling the same question, so the total question bank actually isn’t that big. Helpful but not worth paying for if they can’t be bothered to clean up their question and answer bank. Cmon guys, put in the work! ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2025-05-31* Please do not waste your money on this app there are so many better apps out there this one has many spelling errors and the questions are worded wrong I would not recommend using this app to study ### 1/5 — Bad grammar with wrong answers *2025-05-15* I was marked incorrect for picking “Hypovolemic shock”, it told me “Neurogenic shock” was correct. When I picked the explanation drop down it literally said “the patients symptoms demonstrate hypovolemic shock”. I don’t want to fail the NREMT because the app was not vetted appropriately. Watch out future medics, I do not recommend this app. ### 1/5 — Subscription isn’t mathing *2025-01-07, version 9.1* Charging 0.11 per day for an annual subscription is 40$ with 90% off they are saying cost 49.99 doesn’t add up ### 1/5 — Misleading *2024-11-01* Some of the questions do not seem as if they’ve been fully evaluated, and the explanations incorrectly reference the information, further, the designers intentions have made the layout obtuse in a way that makes it difficult to end your subscription or determine whether or not you’re still paying for it. ### 1/5 — Not Paramedic level *2024-09-08, version 8.0* THEY HAVE A SECTION FOR PARAMEDIC QUESTIONS, BUT THEY ARE NOT AT PARAMEDIC LEVEL AT ALL. It even asked questions that the book I used in class only glossed over. I even recommended this app to my classmates who haven’t tested yet. Showed this app to my instructor and she liked it and will be recommending it to her students as an extra aid. But reading my class book and learning things from paramedics helped out. ‍‍‍ ### 5/5 — Worth the time *2021-05-21, version 1.0* ‌‍ As everyone already knows, you name it & there's an app for that - apps are a dime a dozen & most of them are completely worthless. I tried this app out and found it to be professional, based on current material, and capable of going the distance. The test question bank was large enough to actually help practice the NREMT test - unlike other apps it did not start repeating questions after the first practice exam. After taking the 2021 NREMT-Basic exam I can say the practice questions from this app accurately reflected the material in the questions on the NREMT exam. This was the only test app that I tried that even came close to the actual exam ### 5/5 — ‎‎BUY IT, TRY IT, it’s WORTH IT!   ‍ ‍ *2021-05-20, version 1.0* This is probably the best budget friendly investment you could make in studying for the NREMT. With how fast paced and on the go life is, pocket prep offers a way to study on your electronic devices that will help improve your score and your knowledge of the material. It provides in depth explanations for answers, on why it is correct and to why it is wrong. I also love that it kept track of my progress and gave me an idea on what areas I needed to improve in and what areas I was strongest in. I also loved that the questions, scenarios, and explanations came from my EMT textbook, so I knew they weren’t just drawn out of a random generator. I can honestly say that this will help you pass with flying colors (Just took my test and passed) and with confidence!
