You won’t make even half of what they advertise you will. You will be driving for 0.75/mi and end up losing money in the long run for the cost of insurance, vehicle maintenance, time, etc. You would make more money working at McDonalds than driving for empire. The greediest brokers I have ever encountered. They will take 50% of what the shipper is willing to pay, and won’t even submit a bid if they don’t make as much as you do. I promise it’s worth it to get your own DOT number and truly start working for yourself. Empire brokers are absolute vultures. This is the lowest of the low. ### 1/5 — Radius feature and miles out to PU/Del *2024-08-15, version 1.0.56(77)* The app is getting somewhat better but not perfect yet, fency interface and multiple unnecessary buttons, but no additional setting features. I have reported the radius feature to be implemented for a year now and nothing has been done yet. The drivers are getting loads offered from 200-300 miles away and not from the area where they are, which should make more sense to drive and pick a close offered load vs. something in another state (while being in MI, loads are offered from IL or WI). The same function is included on the Altek Driver app and works perfectly fine, selecting loads offered for up to certain miles away and that’s it…the closer the better, quicker pickup and sooner on the road to delivery. ### 1/5 — Trash *2024-05-16, version 1.0.50(71)* Disconnected for no valid reason such a stupid people’s there 🥴 ### 1/5 — Very annoying app, *2024-03-22* Please fix at least Notification… When new load is coming, not showing full info. Example: notifications when first time showing is just notifications without any information but when Load is covered its showing full info. But need first info first.2nd its old loads could stay forever, not disappear automatically, and takes lot of time to remove it. ### 1/5 — Not so good since last update *2023-09-02* Glitchy. App insist that I am currently assigned a load which I’m not. Status stays yellow unavailable and zip won’t refresh Deleted and reinstalled and now I can’t log on. Error stating I’m using two devices I hope they fix soon ### 1/5 — Future zip location not working *2023-08-31* Please be advised that this issue should be fixed ASAP. When you are under a load with someone else, you input the destination zip code/date/time and are expecting to be getting load offers from that future area, but apparently dispatchers don’t see that and are still bombarding you with load offers from where you were, no joke and its annoying. I reported it multiple times to HR, texted/called location number, Driver Support and the dispatchers and looks like nothing is working right. I hate to reject the dispatcher offers but they should be offering me options where I will be and make money, not the other way around. Friend of mine says his is working fine, so not sure where the disconnection is here as my app is always up to date, period! I have this perfectly working with other carriers and their apps but not with Empire, which I honestly like a lot. ### 1/5 — Trash *2023-08-22* Feeling like it's the first-time project of a freshman student who has no idea how freight transportation works. Once installed, you're in for a 24/7 nightmare of notifications, regardless of your status ### 1/5 — Owner *2023-07-28* Owners should be able to change when the unit is available, unavailable or will be available not the driver. Driver that works for an owner doesn’t dictate when the van works and when it doesn’t it’s the owner the once that decides. ### 1/5 — Not working 🙄 *2023-03-21* Not working ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — They will lowball you *2026-02-12* They are some very horrible dispatchers ### 1/5 — Empire national is horrible *2026-01-14* Never get with this company, most loads will be for 0.70 cents on the dollar and they don’t care that owner operators have to pay for fuel, maintenance and insurance, these people are so greedy that if you ask for anything above .085 cents you won’t get a load for days maybe weeks, I work With them for A couple of months and only Had one load for A dollar and I had to Print my own BOL, if you are a owner operator never I mean never work with these guys they will literally make you go broke With the rates they pay wile they keep 60% of the money with no cost and most loads Will be for 900lb for the lowest of the lowest, some states you won’t even get out if you bid anything above .55 cents on the mile. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2025-09-30, version 1.0.74(96)* Worst dispatchers in the market, cheap and sketchy. I had dispatcher report me for changing the rate after finding out it was citizenship needed load, it wasn’t mentioned in the first place tho..miscommunication will grow distrusts between the driver and dispatcher. ### 3/5 — Add comment/notes box *2023-04-18* Please add a comments/notes box so that I can advise the team if I want specific loads only (towards home, etc). Latest update map in app is really messed up. And update app with auto tracking.
