Stay safe, guys! UPDATE: March 31 Just released! Domini has released Mystery Tales: Art and Souls. Note to CaseyMarie: how dare you call out one of MY team members for reviewing objectively? Drosie did just that, and was right to complain about the ongoing quality assurance issues plaguing Domini. I am privy to information that YOU will NEVER have, as I work closely with Domini. These issues should have been resolved already, and I applaud Drosie for broaching an uncomfortable topic! Most of the players will stand behind me, and not you, so kindly do not call anyone out for objectivity. Thank you! I of course did not play until Oleg ran 3 updates on this game, so I didn’t experience the technical glitches that the rest of you did! At least I got them resolved quickly. I can tell you that this developer has made some very positive strides. The graphic artists and programmers have improved the graphics and cut-scenes tremendously. The graphics are clearer and not intensely saturated with one pervasive color, and the cut-scenes are no longer pixelated. In addition, the programmers finally fixed the zoom feature in the HO scenes. Still, the technical issues which were present when the game was released were unacceptable. Once fixed, this was an entertaining and magical game! There was a nice mix of puzzles and games, including my favorite: a labyrinth. Thanks Oleg! The HO scenes had an interesting variety, with some being more innovative and unique. The storyline was the same boring fantasy storyline: stealing souls to preserve an evil being. Although we have seen it time and again, at least the gameplay was fresh and original, and applying inventory led to some enthralling results. I cannot ignore the technical issues first present. Even after all the updates, I noticed some slight touchscreen sensitivity issues and some of the mini-games just would not function correctly. For this reason I am deducting one star. My true rating will remain at 4 stars. Remember everyone, the sooner you practice proper social distancing the sooner this pandemic will end. When Domini gets it right, they really excel! I was so excited to get a new game by Domini, but it didn’t last. I didn’t even make it through the free game when major problems started. Right after you’re told to get the 4 crystals to free the Phoenix, the screen changes into a mini screen and moves to the upper left corner. It happens again a little later when you are told to find a safe way down into a grave. If you get out of the game and go back in, the game fixes itself, but I won’t be buying until I know that bug is fixed. This is really minor, but the Hint button is super sparkly and, while I’ve never been distracted by anything before in a game, that button was driving me crazy! ### 4/5 — Update: Game appears to be fixed *2020-03-30, version 1.0.7* Just started game. Not only did it crash nonstop but also has numerous in-game glitches. I probably skipped half the puzzles due to either poor/inoperable interface controls or I would get near the end and the game would crash which starts the puzzle over upon reboot. I finished the game on principle alone. You have to click on items or areas of interest several, several times for it to respond - often leading you to believe that you are not supposed to click on an area or collect an item. When you finally give up because you tried everything you can possibly think of, and ask for a clue… lo and behold the item you tried clicking on 20 times is what you are indeed meant to select. So you try several more times - in the center, slightly above, or below, or to the right, or to the left - until it finally takes. Then, the game crashes so many times. At first it was once every 10-15 minutes. Then I got to an area where the game kept crashing - about 20 times in a 7-10 minute period. It is too frustrating. And I paid $7 for this disappointment and aggravation!
