### 3/5 — Loved the Premise, but Too AI Heavy

I saw the advertisement for this and was super excited to try it out. What drew me to this was the feature to “level up” your profile by completing daily tasks. However, I was disappointed to see so many other aspects of the app to be AI-driven such as generating book descriptions (there’s currently not a way to import books from another site) and AI-generated avatar pictures. This really could be something special, but I hope the developers decide to get human creators for the avatars and help decrease the AI features available. If I can hope to see some of these things in the future, I’d definitely love to stick around!

**Developer response:** Thank you — this is a genuinely useful review, and it's good to hear the level-up system is landing well.

One thing worth fixing straight away: you can import your library. Settings → Import Books accepts exports from Goodreads, Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books and Google Play Books, and it brings your books, ratings and dates across. It sounds like the missing import is what pushed you toward AI descriptions in the first place — with your library imported, you shouldn't need them. Descriptions are also just a text field: you can write or paste your own, and AI is only ever an optional assist.

On avatars: the profile artwork behind the level-up system — the preset avatars and the frames you unlock — is designed art, not generated. The AI Soul Portraits are a separate, opt-in extra rather than the default, and nothing in the app requires you to use them.

We're not going to pretend the AI features aren't there, and we'd rather hear this than not. We've noted the ask for more human-made avatar art — it's the kind of thing we'd like to do more of.

TWELVE LANGUAGES
Enchanted Reads now speaks हिन्दी, 中文, 한국어 and 日本語, alongside English, Ukrainian, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish. Not only the menus — your bookshelf, your reading reports, your achievements, your quests and your notifications.

FIVE LANGUAGES FINISHED
German, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish were each missing around 940 phrases that quietly fell back to English. They are written now, so all twelve are complete.

COUNTING THAT READS RIGHT
A two-day streak used to show the plural form reserved for five and more in Russian, Ukrainian and Polish. Numbers now follow the rules of each language.

STATS CARDS IN EVERY SCRIPT
The shareable stats cards were drawing empty boxes for readers of Hindi, Chinese, Korean and Japanese — on the one thing in the app made to leave it. They render properly now.

The new translations have not been reviewed by native speakers yet. If a phrase sounds wrong to you, tell us through Contact Support: you will be right, and we would much rather hear it.

Explore it your way: drag to orbit, pinch to zoom, two-finger drag to pan — and on Mac, the trackpad and mouse do the same.
The world quietly rebuilds itself whenever your library changes. 

Keep reading, keep building: milestones at 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 books unlock the Heartwood Pet, the Fountain Plaza, Sky Lanterns, the Ancient Gate and the Dragon Peak. 

Your cosy Enchanted Chamber isn't going anywhere — the World is a brand-new door inside it.

Meet the Reading Companion — open any book you're currently reading, tap the Companion icon, and ask anything. "Who's Hermione again?" "Recap chapter 5." "Is Snape good or bad?" The AI is bounded to the page you're on — ask about something further along and it politely deflects until you get there. 

The new For You page generates eight personalised book picks with a one-sentence reason for each ("you'll like this because you 5 star's X"). Save any of them straight to your TBR with one tap.

And Reports → Overview now opens with a Weekly Insights card — three to five short narrative notes about your reading week (pace, genres, streaks, time of day), generated automatically every Monday.

Fixes: logout now properly signs you out of Google so the app stays logged out after you kill and reopen; and the login screen stops sliding under the Dynamic Island when scrolled.

Сканируй много: пройдись по целой стопке книг одна за другой, просмотри миниатюры и добавь их все сразу — около 10 книг меньше чем за минуту.

Умное автозаполнение ищет каждую книгу в Open Library и Google Books, а новое предупреждение о дубликате ведёт прямо к книге, которая уже есть у тебя, вместо повторного добавления.

READING SESSIONS 2.0
Tap Start on any active reading session and a stopwatch begins ticking — pause it, resume it, stop when you put the book down. The seconds you spent paused stay out of your total, and a hard refresh of the app continues from exactly where the timer was.

ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN
A banner sits on the Lock Screen for the running timer, complete with the book title, cover, and your streak count. The clock ticks on its own without waking the app, works in iOS 17's StandBy mode, and the Dynamic Island shows a glyph + counter on iPhone 14 Pro and newer.

EIGHT SOUNDSCAPES
Rain on Glass, Old-Growth Forest, Fireplace, Quiet Café, Ocean Shore, Old Library, Thunderstorm, Silence. Pick one and the loop plays through the screen lock, app switching, and CarPlay. The Now Playing tray shows the pack name with the book title underneath; the Lock Screen and steering wheel controls play, pause, and skip without unlocking.

GOALS AND SIX NEW ACHIEVEMENTS
Set a daily reading target in minutes. Hit it seven days in a row to earn Streak Keeper. Sit with a book for 30 minutes without pausing for Focused Reader, 90 minutes in a row for Marathon. Start before 7 AM for Dawn Reader, after 10 PM for Night Owl. Hit ten cumulative hours on the timer for Deep Diver.

EVERY REALM READS
Tab bars across Reports, Book Clubs, Stats Cards and a dozen other screens now wear your active theme — pale cyan on Atlantis Depths, gold on Lunar, crimson on Gothic Twilight. The sidebar's section dividers and icons are readable on every dark palette they previously vanished into. And the version label at the foot of the sidebar finally tracks the build you actually installed.

Plus a round of minor UI bug fixes and reliability improvements across Library filters, Currently Reading, the Home dashboard, and Discover.
