Secure email with encryption
Everything in your inbox is stored with zero-access and end-to-end encryption, emails between Proton users can only be read by you and your recipient. Proton Mail can't read or scan your messages. Our open-source apps use OpenPGP encryption and are independently audited.

Switch to secure email
Easy Switch moves your email to your new secure inbox with no manual exporting or importing. Connect Gmail to use your Gmail address alongside your Proton email in one secure inbox, or set up auto-forwarding from as many Gmail accounts as you like.

The Wall Street Journal: "Proton Mail offers encrypted email, which makes it virtually impossible for anyone to read it except the sender and the recipient."

### 5/5 — 👀

Sus

### 3/5 — Can't paste multiple comma delimited emails

*2026-10-18, version 7.11.7*

Hope this can get fixed somehow

*2026-10-18, version 7.11.7*

### 1/5 — Inactive Accounts Policy

*2026-10-18, version 7.11.7*

The inactive accounts policy is too aggressive and stupid.

### 5/5 — Ccan’t be any better

*2026-10-17, version 7.11.7*

It’s the best product EVER.

### 3/5 — Deleted items don’t delete

*2026-10-16, version 7.11.7*

Great app but any time I try deleting more than one email it doesn’t delete

### 5/5 — No advertising

*2026-10-16, version 7.11.7*

I am enjoying Proton Mail tremendously. I was swamped with advertisements with my other email so it’s been a huge relief not to receive any with Proton. Also I like the way I receive my emails and how I can set up my folders, thank you!

### 3/5 — Pasting multiple comma or semi-colon email addresses to the To, CC, or BCC field break editing

*2026-10-15, version 7.11.7*

Composing an email in a document, then pasting the comma separated or
semi-colon departed addresses,
breaks the apps editing of the email addresses in the To, CC, and BCC field. Says “Invalid Recipient”. Once you try to edit the email addresses in the field, the drop down arrow makes the field uneditable and breaks it. Try it with 5 or so addresses. Web app automatically separates the emails by delimiter. ios app is buggy in this area.

### 1/5 — Don’t work

*2026-10-15, version 7.11.7*

App don’t work

### 5/5 — Safety

*2026-10-14, version 7.11.7*

I prefer Proton mail due to it’s safety!
