Is this possible? I opened an encrypted file, I used this software to encrypt, on axcrypt on pc and it said it was encrypted with aes-128 instead of 256. Jedoch gibt es einige wesentliche Sicherheitsprobleme, die die App im Vergleich zu anderen Passwortmanagern weniger sicher machen. • Fehlende FaceID/Code-Abfrage beim Öffnen: Ein großes Problem ist, dass die App beim Öffnen keine zusätzliche Sicherheitsabfrage wie FaceID oder einen Code verlangt. In einer App, die Passwörter und wichtige Daten speichert, erwarte ich als erstes, dass meine Daten durch FaceID oder einen Code geschützt werden. Diese Funktion fehlt hier komplett, was die App unsicher macht. • Fehlender Schutz bei falscher Passworteingabe: Ein weiteres Sicherheitsmanko ist, dass die App keine Schutzmaßnahme bietet, wenn man das Passwort dreimal falsch eingibt. In vielen anderen Passwortmanagern wird der Nutzer nach mehreren falschen Versuchen gesperrt oder es gibt eine Sicherheitsmaßnahme wie das Löschen der gespeicherten Daten. Hier fehlt dieser Schutz völlig, was die Sicherheit gefährdet. • Löschen von Passwörtern ohne Bestätigung: Wenn man ein Passwort löschen möchte, fragt die App nicht nach einem zusätzlichen Code oder einer Bestätigung. Jeder, der Zugriff auf die App hat, könnte so einfach alle Passwörter löschen, ohne dass eine zusätzliche Sicherheitsabfrage nötig ist. Diese Funktion sollte unbedingt gesichert werden, um Missbrauch zu verhindern. • Fehlende Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung: Eine weitere wichtige Funktion, die in „Encryptor“ fehlt, ist die Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung. Besonders die fehlende FaceID/Code-Abfrage beim Öffnen, der mangelnde Schutz bei falscher Passworteingabe und das fehlende Bestätigen beim Löschen von Passwörtern machen die App unsicher. Die Implementierung einer Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung wäre eine sinnvolle Ergänzung, um die App noch sicherer zu machen. Trotz dieser Mängel werde ich die App weiterhin nutzen, da sie insgesamt wirklich gut funktioniert. Zusammengefasst: Sehr schönes Design, aber gravierende Sicherheitsmängel, wie fehlende FaceID, fehlender Schutz bei falschen Passworteingaben, keine Bestätigung beim Löschen von Passwörtern und keine Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung. Trotzdem eine tolle App, die ich weiterhin benutze. ### 1/5 — does not work as expected *2025-04-14* It does not work as expected. 1) I cannot drag and drop a file to be encrypted onto the open application window. I have to click the application window and hunt for the file to be encrypted. Hey, this not the 1980s. Wake up to the modern user interfaces. I should be able to drag a file or folder or multiple files and folders to the application window or dock icon. 2) There is no help built in to the application. There is a Help menu option but it does nothing; it says “Help isn’t available for Encryptor”. 3) there is a Settings dialog that offers a paid subscription for a ‘Plus’ version, but in fact it does not allow you to actually pay for such a subscription. The dialog goes no where. Which is irrelevant anyway, because according to the Apple Store the application is free. I thought Apple was inspecting applications before it allowed them in the Store? ### 1/5 — Unacceptable *2025-03-31* There may be great potential with this app. However, in the free version, the lack of the ability to delete any of your files is stunning, preposterous, and absolutely unacceptable. Yes, I understand the developer needs to make money. But requiring a paid subscription before you are permitted to do something as basic and necessary as deleting any of your own files is just plain wrong. I find myself to be nothing less than disgusted by the developer’s decision to disallow file deletion in their free version. ### 3/5 — Not purchasing again *2025-02-18* I got the Lifetime version during a special promotion.
