### 2/5 — Upset triathlete

*2025-11-03, version 2.0.3*

The idea of this app is great. But it is not designed well for interval sets. It only allows 19 intervals in a “set” so I’m having to create 3-6 sets depending on my workout.

It also skips intervals or duplicates them A LOT. It’s frustrating and highly annoying. It gets so bad sometimes I’ll try to just use manual mode but it keeps running from the messed up set.

Sure hope it gets fixed soon. Rather disappointed!

### 2/5 — Lack of basic features required by a modern app for such an expensive product!

*2025-10-03, version 2.0.3*

The app quality is not in line with the price of the pool itself.

It is not possible to create programs with more than 19 entries (?!?), and the creation of the entries is clunky to use an euphemism: if you want to create a 10x100 set, you need to manually copy-paste the individual entries and you cannot copy-paste breaks.

The app does not link with any other modern fitness apps and it does not allow to build, store (and possibly share) the training programs online.

Sometimes for unspecified reasons the program breaks and the pool just stops working.

A major revision is required!

### 2/5 — so much potential

*2025-01-12, version 2.0.3*

this app could be so much more than it is. it feels like they shipped a minimally viable product, then stopped.

### 3/5 — Updates Needed

*2023-10-12, version 2.0.3*

This is a cool app. However it often changes my intervals or skips one. I have also had issues with the timer completing on the last interval, but the current doesn’t shut down. I don’t know the workout has ended.

### 2/5 — Terrible workout creation interface

*2023-10-02, version 2.0.3*

Take a look at Aviron as a rowing/workout interface. They gamify something that can get monotonous like rowing and gamified it. With the cost of installing a pool why not have a software system that follows that same innovative approach? Seriously guys take a look at their approach and consider a total shift in your approach to make swimming workouts more interactive!

### 2/5 — So much promise but Disappointing

*2023-09-13*

As a triathlete it’s nice to be able to structure my workouts in the app and let it go. That’s the reason for the 2 stars. Unfortunately it falls very short. The app malfunctions a LOT - it won’t connect to pool, it won’t load workout to pool, it messes up the workout (skips intervals or extends the intervals). I also do not understand why it only allows 19 intervals. To get a workout in, I often have to have 4 different workout segments.

### 2/5 — Cool concept, but the app is hardly functional

*2023-07-19, version 2.0.2*

My only issue is with the workouts section of the app. You were able to create a work out with different intervals and speeds and then you are supposed to be able to click play and it will run through your created work out. However, it is constantly skipping rest intervals and even sets, and also just not stopping when it is supposed to go to the next interval. Very frustrating. Hopefully they will provide a software update to fix all of these bugs.

### 2/5 — Needs a software developer and a swimmer to work together

*2023-07-19, version 2.0.2*

I’m not sure who designed this app but it has enough problems to be frustrating. Most recently when changing paces in manual it wipes out accumulated distance.

### 3/5 — Rest feature messing things up

*2023-07-15, version 2.0.2*

Excited for the rest feature. It messes with the order of things. Ughh

### 2/5 — Still buggy

*2023-07-04, version 2.0.2*

I have an E2000 with treadmill and the app frequently stops my workouts while in progress. Then I have to force quit the app and reopen it. It then makes me start the workout over since you can’t jump directly to another step. Sometimes it won’t even load initially and I have to force quit multiple times just to get a workout started. It also mixes up the treadmill and swim a lot – it will say it’s a run but the treadmill is off and vice versa.

### 2/5 — The app needs some work

*2023-06-20, version 2.0.2*

Even though I have created a 1 hour workout, the screen flashes to “done” after half an hour. (Treadmill and current continue to operate). I’m also finding that I have to go through the whole setup process every time I use the treadmill or swim current.

### 3/5 — Much improved

*2023-06-15, version 2.0.2*

I was one of the complainers from the first version. So i thought i need to come and say the app is greatly improved with the latest updates. I have connectivity issues from time to time but building workouts is much easier now.

### 3/5 — Love the app but still lots of bugs

*2023-06-04, version 2.0.2*

Hi
I love my endless pool and this app is the only way to set automatic programs to change current and distance. Which is what I use all the time.
I have typically 10-16 steps over a 2,000 metre swim.
Unfortunately I do find on most of my swims it experiences a bug which can either be switching US metrics (which slows down everything). Skips steps, repeats steps, doesn’t change to correct current, gets stuck on interval. All these things are very random, I would typically experience one of these on each of my swims.
So I love the app and still use all the time, but gave 3 stars as the last update suggested that these bugs were fixed. It might need more testing. If you are able to make this app more reliable, which is worth it in relation to what people pay for the Pool then I will happily change to 5 stars.
Thanks to the developers!

### 2/5 — App is barely functional

*2023-05-14, version 2.0.2*

1) Setting pace, time and distance (distance isn't even set-able in manual control) is an effort in extreme patience as all the useful settings are all within a millimeter of the end of the slider.

2) App requires you to force close the app constantly so as to reconnect to make changes in manual control or to start a workout otherwise throws an error.

3) you cant trust the workouts to not skip steps, particularly the new rest steps. Constantly finding myself swimming a new interval without with no break (skipped rest). Or only swimming 30 seconds of a 10min interval before the workout skips to next step.

A pace display, blue pace remote and a clock are FAR more functional than this app.

### 3/5 — Finally updating app again

*2023-03-29, version 2.0.2*

The last update broke a bunch of things, but the app hadn’t been updated in 3+ years. So probably bringing software up to date.

New release fixes some of those problems and adds a long missing feature of scheduling a rest into the workout.

I hope they continue to improve (and work out bugs) and don’t just put this up on a shelf for another 4 years.

Missing -
  - copy a workout (why start fresh everytime when I’m just modifying a part)
  - rename a workout
  - share / import a workout?
  - integrate with some of the goggles on the market. They already have a partnership with finis for example.

### 2/5 — Language problem

*2023-01-26, version 2.0.1*

The new application is downloaded in german language. I can not be able to change into English. Is it possible? Thanks in advance.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lacks an intuitive simple way to get connected with app

*2025-07-25, version 2.0.3*

How long is too long as I wait for it to connect I wonder what and where I did something wrong

### 1/5 — Needs a Serious Upgrade

*2025-04-22, version 2.0.3*

I love the concept of the Fit@Home app, but in practice, it really falls short. The biggest issue is that it feels outdated and clunky. It frequently fails to connect to Wi-Fi, which makes tracking workouts inconsistent and frustrating. Even more disappointing is the complete lack of integration with popular fitness apps like Strava or Garmin—something that’s become pretty standard in the fitness tech world.

At this point, it feels more like a missed opportunity than a useful training companion. That said, I’ve heard rumors that an updated version is in the works. If that’s true, I really hope Endless Pools is listening to user feedback—this app has potential, but it desperately needs a modern overhaul.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2025-03-14, version 2.0.3*

Doesn’t work. Constantly loses WiFi connection. It could be a great tool if it worked but it’s just useless. I use the primitive remote control instead. At least the remote control works.

### 1/5 — 0/10

*2025-01-25, version 2.0.3*

So many glitches, not sure how a company like endless pool puts up with an app like this. All my workouts are interrupted by the app.

1-if you have 30m X 5 the app will stop after the 3rd 30m.

2-when you finish a session the machine keeps on running because the app has not ended the workout. The list goes on and on.

People who work on this app should be ashamed that they have such a lousy, terrible, incompetent app. Why Endless pool continues with this I don’t know!!

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2024-10-14, version 2.0.3*

The app frequently crashes in use. For example in the middle of a set of swimming intervals it decides to add 30 minutes of walking. When it works it’s great but if goes wrong about one in five times. There is no way to share routines and it’d be useful if it had some routines built in too.

### 1/5 — Sad

*2024-06-07, version 2.0.3*

Every complaint listed remains - it just doesn’t work except for rare occasions, and then is buggy and cumbersome at best.
It’s profoundly disappointing to spend $70k on equipment to only afterwards discover the company that took your money will not invest in real software to operate your investment.

Come on watkins/endless pools - either provide robust working applications or release your API so that someone who cares can develop for the people whose money you took.

If you’re considering buying an endless pools product, believe these reviews before giving them your hard earned money for faulty products.

### 1/5 — Skips Step during Workout

*2023-07-18, version 2.0.2*

Updated APP has two MAJOR FLAWS
1. APP will SKIP a step whenever it wants. VERIFIED with different workouts on different days.
2. APP has a step limit of 20. There is no reason for this. ALL iPhones and devices have plenty of memory nowadays.

As an APPLE Developer, these should be VERY easy to fix as well as other flaws documented in these reviews for as much as the FitAtHome costs.

### 1/5 — NO GOOD!

*2023-02-11, version 2.0.1*

This app is full of bugs!
Hard to stay connected, speed is totally unreliable, can’t pause and start again. Fancy pool with lousy app. Please fix it!

### 1/5 — Connectivity issues with latest update

*2023-01-10, version 2.0.1*

Ever since the latest update, I’ve had a lot of connectivity issues. My phone used to find the pool and treadmill right away, and now it won’t find it at all. I’ve reset the entire system multiple times by shutting power off to the spa and going through setup again. I’m able to connect directly to the spa fine using the epcontroller network, but when I try to change the WiFi to my home network, it will no longer connect. Even worse, it’s causing my RF remotes to become non responsive to the point where I’m having trouble turning the jets on at all. It’s like the entire spa freezes up when trying to switch WiFi networks. Again, this all used to work just fine. They need to fix this right away or we may have a class action lawsuit on our hands.

### 1/5 — Several bugs

*2023-01-02, version 2.0.1*

The new version experiences additional bugs : metric versus imperial is probably not working. Speed is not as it is usual was. Also, it often disconnect the app with the pool, which did not happened before. It also forgets the programmed training.
So, we had to instal it on an old device that does not accept the latest version. And now, it works great.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very pleased

*2022-05-17, version 1.04*

I just added a fastlane pro to my pool and the app is a big plus. The app lets me capitalize on the unique features of stationary swimming (like pace control). I can set up playlists (bone conduction headset) to match my stroke rate at each interval. I had some intermittent connection problems when connecting to the endless pool Wi-Fi, but now I connect through our home Wi-Fi and I haven’t had any connection problems in the week since.

It would be nice if it saved my past workouts or at least total distance for the year.

### 5/5 — Top App - Endless unvergleichbar

*2021-11-07, version 1.04*

Top! Habe mein Endless von spapro.de.
Maschine Top. App Top. Mir tut alles weh vom schwimmen.
WLAN etc. seit Wochen zuverlässig am arbeiten.

### 5/5 — Disappointed Endless Pool Lover

*2021-02-20, version 1.04*

I love my EP. I can’t say the same about this app. So many careless issues:
—no connectivity to Apple, Garmin, Training Peaks training calendars
—inability to edit names of workouts
—no ability to add more than 20 intervals? Are you kidding me?
—And rest intervals count as an interval?
—no ability to edit the name of a workout you have constructed after inputting it?
—No ability to import workouts from other platforms
—Please, have a swimmer use this software and then edit it. Quite frankly for the money we spend on our EP’s we deserve more.

### 4/5 — Distance calc broken

*2024-03-15, version 2.0.3*

Hadn’t used the app in a while and started again recently. It appears to be miscalculating the distance based on the pace and duration. Eg. 2:07 min/100m pace for 30 min says 312 meters which is clearly wrong. Hopefully a simple fix.

### 4/5 — Great improvement over the blue remote!

*2023-01-19, version 2.0.1*

Just got the app a few days ago and love it. Really simple to use. Unlike another reviewer I found that you can add lots and lots of phases to a workout. Once you have added about 7 it appears that you can’t add any more, however if you add another one after the one you can’t edit, the editing bar comes back into view and you can carry on. There are a few issues though. 1. Even though I have set it to use metric measurements, it shows metric units in the manual control but yards in the workout mode. So I am confused as to whether it’s saying yards but is recording metric. Also, I think it keeps reverting to US units. 2. It would be nice to be able to programme rests into the workouts. The only way I can see to do this is to programme in a really slow set but then it still records the distance it thinks you will cover. 3. A set up phase in the workouts would be good. 4. Can’t seem to find much support online to ask about the issues encountered. However, it’s a fantastic improvement over the blue remote. I love that now I can set the speed rather than just guessing. I love that I can see how far I have been swimming. It’s brilliant but please can someone have a look at the issues?

### 4/5 — New release is not good (Update: Getting better!)

*2023-01-12, version 2.0.1*

While this app used to be extremely reliable, the latest update has made it almost unusable. First, it completely deleted all of my prior workouts when it updated. Then, when I finally got that set up again, the screen goes off during the workout, so you can’t see how much time you have left in a particular portion of your workout. As well, like the other review mentioned, it doesn’t even follow the order of your workout. Sometimes it simply skips portions of workouts, then stops as if it reached the end. This really needs to be looked at again.

Update: I don’t know if the app was worked on or not, but I have gone over a week now with the app no longer skipping portions of my workout or stopping mid-workout. The only remaining issue is the app going to sleep, keeping you from seeing where you are in your workout. However, I did find how to prevent my phone from going to sleep, which has helped.

### 4/5 — Love it but won’t work with IOS14

*2020-09-20, version 1.04*

Worked great until we updated to IOS 14.

### 4/5 — Every other day swimmer

*2020-08-26, version 1.04*

I think the app works perfectly. I use my Apple Watch at the same time and get exact the same results. I wish it did more like kept track of all workouts and calorie count.

### 4/5 — Fit @ home app

*2020-03-14, version 1.04*

So been using this app now for nearly 12 months and it’s been a great add on to improve training and concentration in the pool. Although I have a few suggestions moving forward;
1) be able to track/record progress of sessions.
2) be able to upload session to other apps such as Strava, Garmin connect .....etc so swim, running and cycle can be all together.
3) be able to transfer training sessions to another device.
4) have the option of an audible beep between intervals.
I am sure there will be more but keep up the great work and thank you.
Regards
Peter
#SwinSwim

### 3/5 — Brilliant idea but very unreliable

*2024-10-20*

I’d still recommend using it despite the glitches and crashing. It has transformed (for the better) my enjoyment, tenacity and progress of swim training. I BEG endless pools to invest - even just a little - in improving the app so that it works more reliably. More functionality would be great but keeping the same functions, and just fixing the glitches, would be a huge step forward.
