## What is Energy Meter?

Monitor and discover real-time data of your SMA solar photovoltaic plant or locate secret power wasters in your home. Individual SMA sensors or inverters can be examined directly (see below list of supported devices).

The app communicates locally with the solar system without a cloud. This means that real-time measured data are available at lightning speed and changes of power values are detected immediately.

Discover and explore your photovoltaic system and keep track of your power grid! 

Connect your iPhone or iPad to the same network (WiFi) as your PV plant and get a deep insight of your power grid. 

The app works best with self-consumption plants (plants with Sunny Home Manager devices).

The focus of the app is to monitor real-time data values. Long-term recordings are currently not possible (apart from the grid consumption measurements).

Mir war anfangs nicht ganz klar, was diese App gegenüber der SMA energy App besser kann. Die Antwort ist mir jetzt klar: schnellere Datenanzeigen, alle Daten ohne Anmeldungen und Zeitversatz in Echtzeit parat. Vor allem kann man auch die Batterietemperatur, Ladezustand und Verbrauch schnell einsehen. (Temp der Batterie kann man sonst nur über das Sunny Portal umständlich über die Auswertungen einsehen) . 
Wichtig auch für mich die Anzeige, welcher String erzeugt wieviel Leistung. Das differenziert die SMA App nicht.  
Alles in Allem : Für zu Hause ein schneller Einblick auf die PV Anlage bestens geeignet. Läuft übrigens auch auf einem älteren i-Pad ! (die SMA App steigt da leider schnell aus).

Ich habe den Sunny Home Manager 2.0 eingebunden. Wenn ich die aktuelle Gesamterzeugung ansehen möchte, zeigt mir die App aber nicht an, wie viel meine PV Anlage aktuell produziert, sie zeigt nur an, ob gerade was eingespeist wird oder netzbezug stattfindet. Es heißt dann zum Beispiel, dass die PV Anlage aktuell 38 W produziert. Dabei produziert sie zum Beispiel zehn KW, die 38 W sind nur der Überschuss der eingespeist wird. Ich sehe nirgends, wo man das einstellen kann

kontaktier mich doch bitte mit der Support-Funktion aus der App heraus.
Du hast vergessen, das Modbus-Kommunikationsprotokoll in den Wechselrichtern einzuschalten, so wie es in der Anleitung der App beschrieben ist. Gerne kann ich dir dabei behilflich sein.

Ich liebe die App, da sie in meinen Augen besser ist als das Original. Ich möchte nämlich permanent die Anzeige haben und diese wird immer aktualisiert und bei SMA wird es irgendwann abgebrochen. Ich habe ein altes iPad in einen Bilderrahmen mit Passpartout gemacht und es wirkt jetzt wie ein Bild und ich kann meine Livedaten sehen ohne das Handy zu zücken :-)

Unabhängig von der SMA Cloud Lösung (falls diese oder Internet mal wieder klemmen sollte) und nahezu Echtzeiitdaten im 5 sec Takt.
Schon lange im Betrieb auf iPhone, nun mal auf macOS (noch Sonoma, mit M3max CPU) probiert - läuft exzellent, perfekt für Kurzzeitbetrachtung.  
Derzeit noch om macOS AppStore als nicht überprüft gekennzeichnet - als Quicklook ist hiermit der Test perfekt bestanden !
