It does not work on mobile devices. My daughters’ school is currently looking to shift away from this as it has not worked. Parents (like me) are frustrated and hate using it. I have heard that Barker (Hornsby) is taking legal action against the developers for failing to live up to their promises. Can’t wait until I no longer have to use it. ### 1/5 — Worst experience *2022-08-26, version 1.6* Not if any use ### 1/5 — The worst app I have ever used *2022-06-22, version 1.6* Utter useless; slow and relying on the companies website rather than being mobile or app optimised. Repeated error code (E09) when trying to launch the app, impossible to find how to fix or contact for support via the app as it is stuck on the login page. If I could give a minus rating I would. Why would schools bother paying for this junk? It is goes through to the website which is not mobile enabled so you can’t read it or action things easily. If so are you still facing the same issues? I understand the usernames and passwords are provided by your school and not Engage so perhaps you may wish to speak to the school about that part of your review. You also mention that no support is given, might I ask how you requested support? Your first port of call would have been your school and then if they were unable to help they should contact Engage. It is asking for the school ID which I don’t have a there is no drop down screen to search for it. Engage now directs to add a Safari shortcut to the clunky web based portal to Home Screen to access the Engage “App” (not an app at all). No mention anywhere in their documentation of this app so guessing they withdrew it but forgot to tell anyone. ### 1/5 — Unnecessarily Complicated *2024-04-18, version 1.6* Information has to be scouted for and not in obvious place . It’s Extremely time consuming. Also takes long to download information and there is no search option to make looking for info quick and convenient. You could spend 2hrs to locate information and still not remember where and how you actually got to it . It opens up to google drive and google docs and the cover page documents have no hyperlinks.so you have to read through at least a 13 page document to get gain your info. It’s not always accurate . The wrong links get opened. The info is hidden in a maze underneath another maze which is on top of a different maze, this system gives me anxiety each time I have to open it…most frustrating. Or is it just the school that we have underutilising the apps ability and creating the difficulties we parents are experiencing. There’s a community of us that are struggling . ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2023-11-28, version 1.6* Extremely slow and doesn’t load most of the time, there has been no update for more than 2 years. Poor user experience. *2023-07-29, version 1.6* The mobile app is slow and lacks functionality, my biggest annoyance is dealing with the emails, why can’t I mark as read on mass? Many functions then direct you to the web site which in not optimised for mobile. Again handling emails is a pain. Making holiday clubs bookings is equally painful. Even using my PC dragging each option across is annoying, not being able to see which days have what without having to click through, which takes too long. ### 2/5 — App not responding since IOS15 update *2021-09-23, version 1.6* The app stopped working since upgrading to IOS15. It only opens the start page with the Engage logo but then nothing loads. Prior to the upgrade I loved using the app. Yes, it had a limited functionality compared to the PC version, but I could see the required items when I had to check while on the go.
