I’m serious, I’ve seen literal intro to app coding UX look better than this. If everything you click is going to take you to an external webpage, why even have the app? Totally non-functional. ### 1/5 — Absolute Garbage *2021-07-01, version 1.73* This app is terrible. Blue Shield app is great but this is like the opposite. It’s garbage. So angry I have to use this app. ### 1/5 — Slow & Not Fully Integrated *2021-02-04, version 1.73* Unable to do anything (check benefits/claims/find provider) within the app, it only sends you to an outside link through your web browser. The Blue Shield app was much more user friendly, but I am unable to use now that my employer signed up for EngagementPoint. Even if I try to log directly into blue shield on my iPhone’s web browser it states “We are sorry, you may not access this page in this manner. Please use the EngagementPoint navigation for this page.” What is the point if the app is just going to take twice as long to redirect me back to their website... Also tried to log into Blue Shield on PC; I am directed to use EngagementPoint.com but the website on my computer takes even longer than the app on my phone. Now I can not access the Blue shield site neither on phone nor On PC. ### 1/5 — Painful compared to the Blue Shield app *2020-08-06* Got forced to download this app as my employer enrolled in the Engagement Point program. This is a glorified mobile webpage masquerading as an app. Sacrifices all the utility of the Blue Shield app for non-essential engagement surveys: -Has no security features like TouchID or Face ID -links out to browser to load Blue Shield plan details, claim benefits, ID Cards -no longer has clear integration to HSA account Also, wellbeing survey paths are somewhat nonsensical: I took the tobacco assessment (and answered the first question with No, I have never smoked) in order earn engagement points and now constantly getting pushed to continue tobacco cessation program. :facepalm: ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Fire your app developers and get a refund *2022-05-22* This app is the worst. It continually re-routes you to websites that crash, crashes or times out when you attempt to do anything (I.e. adding dependents), horrible UI, etc. I hate it and it makes me want to die every time I use it. ### 1/5 — Use case for how an App can make you angry *2022-03-29* I just want to find a doctor that my plan accepts. The app is useless and points you to the web which repeatedly crashes. When you try to use the regular blue shield app you cannot. I can’t believe this is an actual consumer facing product. This app links to all my health benefits. It is convenient ### 5/5 — Cool Technology from an insurer *2021-07-01* I was asked and downloaded this app from my employer. Had the BlueShield app before and that was good too. I used to have a lot of different apps for vision and our pharmacy (why cant we just have one carrier) but this lets have access to all in one spot which is nice. Why I put 5 stars is that we had mental health issues during covid and I only found out that we had Ginger for mental health because it was already the app. I dont work on a comupter, so it was nice to see what my benefits are from one spot. ### 4/5 — Works great for me *2022-01-21* I haven’t seen the problems or issues reported in other reviews.
