If this doesn’t help, please share your concern via email at support@enpass.io so that our team of experts can take a closer look. ### 2/5 — Counterproductive Security Changes *2026-07-09, version 6.11.24* I used to recommend Enpass to everyone - cross platform, solid encryption, synced across devices, good autofill. What’s not to like. Then they instituted a constant demand to prove that you remember the master password across devices. What this does is actually decrease security, as it forces me to develop an easy to remember, easy to type/swipe password so that I can get rid of the constant time-suck of having to answer whether or not I remember my Master password or just continue to autofill. The other change is that if I don’t first go through all that noise in my browser extension, I have to click a blue Enpass icon in the login menu, click that I do in fact want to use Enpass auto-login and then get the opportunity to enter a PIN to use Enpass. Wouldn’t the fact that I clicked on the blue Enpass icon in the first place be enough indication that I want to use Enpass? It has been simple and easy to use. Sadly, over the past 6-9 months the software is starting to show its age and several bugs are starting to show up. - Face ID access to the vault randomly turns itself off - An incredibly annoying reminder to verify your master password keeps turning itself back on - the checking of password strength is a bit of a joke If you are looking for a password vault then this software is still fine, but there are definitely better options out there. ### 2/5 — Master Password Issue *2026-05-20, version 6.11.21* Fix the constant master password reminder that comes up every time I open the app. ### 2/5 — Stop Breaking My Preferences! *2026-04-22, version 6.11.21* I have set the app to Disable that irritating and completely unnecessary forced entry of the master password no less than 8 times. Enpass is as good as any of them and better than most. It’s full-featured and lets me do everything I want with a password manager. It doesn’t have the buzz that other password managers have, but it deserves a lot more recognition. It’s reliable, gets the job done and at the right price. ### 2/5 — Master Password Reminder 😭 *2026-04-03, version 6.11.21* The Master Password Reminder feature that you rolled out this year and forced on everyone definitely ruins this otherwise pretty good password manager. I tried to disable this feature in settings but I still get reminded to put in my Master Password. I'm an adult and can remember and keep track of my password. I'm always afraid of upgrading this app because Enpass rolls out stupid features that are unnecessary and make interacting with is application more of a chore than a pleasure. Enpass, focus on making biometrics faster with less animation. less clicks to get my password to populate the fields NOT MORE. Not more hoops to jump through just to use the app. Less and faster, and you will have a much better user experience. please please get rid of the Master Password reminder. ### 3/5 — Good except for sync *2026-03-30, version 6.11.20* I’ve been using Enpass for years. If I didn’t need it on my iPad, I’d be happy with it. However, I’ve yet to find a reliable way to update my iPad with my Mac after making changes to either. To sync, I must delete the app from my iPad, then reinstall, after which it will sync for maybe a day or two. Other password managers store your vault with everyone else’s. Now, every time that I use the app, I’m forced to the “Home” screen. No, thank you. My score is 100, and I’m already a paying customer. Don’t need this information on every launch. The iOS app was great (not like the Mac one, that keeps collapsing notes and it’s not designed for liquid glass). And now is adding an unnecessary level of friction. However, they sent the same instructions found online that do not fix the long term problem of the program not syncing again in three days. Then they just fail to respond. Enpass has no one to pick up a phone to discuss! This now I rate 1star Could be Better 3 star. I wanted to be satisfied with this However the downfall is that Enpass 4 times in the last year continues to be unable to locate and sync to the other devices despite the devices being on same network and in same room. It takes hours to figure this out…. Usually, of course, half way through signing up for a new service. Now they want to force me to "activate using email." That wasn't what I paid for. They are able to detect and restore the purchase, of course. They just need to collect information to track users and sell on to third parties. ### 1/5 — An explanation is due *2026-03-04, version 6.11.20* With the recent updates of iOS 18.x.x I’ve been seeing a dialog when entering a password field asking if I want to use Enpass or Apple’s new Passwords app. After a bit I got curious and looked at the contents of Apple’s Password app. In it I found every bit of info from my Enpass app. No one asked my permission or notified me. Apple said essentially, it’s what iOS does with App Store third party apps. I am raising a cautionary flag here that I consider this the same as being hacked and I no longer feel my Enpass data is secure. I do not yet know if Apple just does this or did it with approval from Enpass. Enpass is a very decent app, I hope not to have to replace over this. ### 1/5 — Not what they claim. *2025-12-03, version 6.11.17* I’ve been an Enpass user since it was released. Almost immediately I went from a free user to purchasing a “Lifetime Premium” license and all was good. Then they changed their pricing model to a subscription. Legacy paid lifetime users were shut out from the latest features. Now they’re blessing us with pop-over spam on macOS. That’s it, I’m done. You took my money then burned me for believing lifetime purchase meant just that. I’ve now imported everything into Apple Passwords and am free from this sleazy company. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great for privacy *2026-07-30, version 6.11.24* Been using Enpass for years and I love it. The best feature IMO is it allows you to store your passwords on any personal cloud drive or even local server, so you don’t have to trust one random company with your most critical and sensitive data, or pay some subscription. Great native apps for iPhone, Linux, and Windows unifies my passwords across everything I use. Rare to have good software you can just buy and use these days. ### 5/5 — Surprising very good! *2026-07-08, version 6.11.24* Hadn’t heard of Enpass before, but it’s an incredibly well done password manager with lots of features and templates and a simple to use interface. I’ve found that managers are either simple with few features or complicated with many - Enpass has managed to combine the best of both. As someone who wanted a locally hosted password manager with a clean, polished UI, this is great. Haven’t regretted it. (I use the Windows version from the EnPass website, not the Windows Store version.) I bought a lifetime licence for the phone version (it’s free on a PC of course) which was only about ten uk pounds then - excellent value. The product itself is very good - works well and is really useful. I’ve only needed to email support once ever, and they responded competently within about 12 hours. I only gave fours stars because of the price. With the introduction of a subscription option it’s got a lot more expensive. But it’s an excellent product, and so much better that trying to remember passwords or writing them in a notebook. Everyone should use a password manager - I looked at the three most popular ones before I bought this one. I likes how EnPass worked, and that it doesn’t store users’ passwords centrally, so I chose this one, and I don’t regret it. ### 5/5 — Amazing password manager been using it for years *2026-04-23, version 6.11.21* This has been one of the best products I’ve bought. I bought the lifetime membership, I think for like $30, but it’s been by far one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I have over 1000 passwords saved, and pass keys, and one time password codes are no problem.
