### 3/5 — Ethernet connection poor

*2026-07-11, version 4.11.0*

The ip connection does not connect as easily now since the token security update. Enlighten app will not generate the token needed.

### 2/5 — Not service friendly

*2026-06-26, version 4.10.6*

Been doing service work for Orphaned systems for over 9 yrs. ITK has certainly improved for new installs, though still lags with updated info, it does not help much with orphaned systems.

Big issue. Doesn’t recognize Envoy -R or S and bugs out with upgrades to new IQ when retiring old legacy equipment. Too many to list…
Seems like the servers and updating is severely lacking still which costs service companies far too much lost revenue and time. Makes scheduling very difficult if not impossible while also creating an “lack of trust in knowledge with the homeowner”. Not good practices to create complication and system lag. The OLD ENVOY -R issues with noise was much more user friendly.

Requires CT’s be configured when none are present ( as if the previous installer put them in or are being used on PV production monitoring only type systems), requires permit /contract info that some orphaned clients don’t know and yet requires us to lie about it to get rid of the alert, doesn’t accurately retire RMA’d inverters, requests PTO dates on systems that had PTO over a decade ago. Some info that is required is intrusive while creating delays or ITK lock ups due to info that is either not available or was available up to 16 yrs ago on the enlighten system when the legacy system was initially installed.

### 2/5 — Glitches and bugs

*2026-04-09, version 4.10.0*

I get contact issue and bugs on my iPhone 16 with software fully updated and while troubleshooting, I’m requested constantly to uninstall /reinstall, sign in and out and then use a separate device to try and commission. Is carrying two phones necessary to commission a system now?

### 2/5 — The pop-up ads are annoying

*2026-01-29, version 4.9.1*

Enphase is better than this.

### 2/5 — Not Good Enough

*2026-01-21, version 4.9.1*

Crashes day

### 1/5 — Dashboard does not work anymore. It flickers.

*2025-11-22, version 4.8.4*

### 3/5 — Not service friendly

*2025-09-10, version 4.8.2*

### 1/5 — Toolkit data does not match enlighten data

*2025-08-26, version 4.8.0*

When commissioning a system if I have an error code or issue, tech support cannot see remotely what I am seeing. Tech support can only look at the system through enlighten. This is very frustrating. Also toolkit has a lot of issues. I am not able to make edits to the system profile through the toolkit and tech support cannot access the toolkit. This causes enough wasted hours on site trying to commission a system that I am strongly considering other manufactures of solar.

### 1/5 — Every update the app gets slower and slower

*2025-08-20, version 4.8.0*

Could fly across the country and back before installer tool kit registers any selected action within the app, and does what is supposed to do..
over four hours after provisioning before app shows any data from replaced micro inverter.. update note says improves user experience must be opposite day smh

### 1/5 — How to make things more complex

*2025-08-12, version 4.7.1*

Awful app, needing to enter endless details just to get an inverter running. 2 hours later I’m no closer.

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2025-04-26, version 4.6.1*

It doesn’t work!!!

### 1/5 — Enphase’s garbage

*2025-04-19, version 4.6.0*

There needs to be more customer support for this app I have spent hours trying to get the micro inverters connected to the envoy again and you guys are not doing anything to help. If there was just a more clear and concise way to do this that would be great tired of wasting my time in the job and your Enphase technology keeps on acting dumb.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Make a shortcut

*2026-08-19, version 4.12.0*

I want my guys to get the system online. Scan the serial numbers and let me do everything else from the main office.

I’m working on a commercial site and it wants me to do all these tests and add loads and I can’t turn things on at their commercial building.

I just wanna scan in the equipment and build it from my desk

### 1/5 — Hardware good Software Sucks

*2026-08-14, version 4.12.0*

Incredibly poor execution of software. 5 min replacing hardware 3 to 4 hours talking to India w great communication difficulties

### 1/5 — Wi-Fi connection

*2026-07-23, version 4.11.2*

Missing instructions how to connect Enphase gateway to Wi-Fi

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2026-07-22, version 4.11.2*

This app is ridiculously slow. You can’t manually push updates for the new cell cards, forcing you to go through a two hour process in order to get the update pushed through. The control boards in the combiner boxes fail right around the warranty expiration mark, and the replacement process fails 80% of the time forcing you to do it multiple times before it finally goes through.

### 1/5 — Don’t use them if you value your time

*2026-07-03, version 4.11.0*

You can never install there’s systems without massive software updates that take hours. You would think they would be able to set a foundational firmware that the entire system can run off of instead of making the installers wait hours while each part is updated. Even then, the software/firmware needs constant attention. I would not recommend installing there products.

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE!!

*2026-06-10, version 4.10.5*

Get ready for the app to kick you out every 20 seconds!!! It is always glitchy and slow! Disappointing for such a big company.

### 1/5 — Slow update

*2026-04-23, version 4.10.1*

Slow and glitchy
Takes several hrs for a replacement micro to register.

Customer support says to wait 24 hrs and if the issue still persists to return back to job site

### 1/5 — Crashes on iOS 26.3.1

*2026-03-21, version 4.9.3*

Crashes on iOS 26.3.1 at app startup

### 1/5 — Updated app won’t open!

*2026-02-22, version 4.9.2*

Starts to open but then just quits before it opens fully

### 1/5 — Not Good VERY BAD

*2026-01-29, version 4.9.1*

Crashes day they need to fire developers
