The building on Via Panisperna in Rome, now hosts of the Historical Museum of Physics and Enrico Fermi Research Centre, housed the historic "Royal Institute of Physics" where a group of young scientists, gathered around the figure of Enrico Fermi, conducted the famous experiments on radioactivity induced by neutrons in the 1930s, which were fundamental for the development of atomic energy.
