Crashes too often. Makes it unusable. Attached files are unseen until viewing the sent email. Disappointing. I just downloaded your app and have a few questions. How do I delete old contacts with whom I no longer keep in contact? How do I change time zone? Mine is correct but incoming email is wrong unless it's the sender's time maybe ?? Can I get Envelope to integrate with my reminder app that is not default on iPad? Also, reminders not showing up on calendar (iPad default calendar) Can I change fonts? It also doesn't show my sent emails sometimes in the bubble window but when it does, there is no format to them, all words jumbled together with no paragraphs or they just disappear altogether. Also, no red notification number showing emails that have come in unless the default one has to be turned off first so not sure about that...and picture added t signature not showing up - just a little box where the picture should be. Emails also showing in the wrong order somehow. Lots of features though so if they work on it more then it may be useful. Really wanted to like this app but deleted it and went back to using default app in iPad. ### 2/5 — I like it!! But... *2017-04-30, version 1.7.2* I've been using gmail's In Box. I don't like the bright white look of that app, especially first thing in the morning, so this rich colorful app with a dark background suits me just fine. First off, they need to do some work on email threads. I have one thread with 8 conversations, but only 5 show up in Envelope. That is unacceptable in an email app, imho. So until they get that squared away, I will have to continue to use another app The text bubble quick response was cool, but I have a hard time reviewing my content for errors because the input/editing area is black font on dark gray background. I looked for color options in the settings, but if they're there, I couldn't find them. Why the dev team would settle on black over dark gray is beyond me. I'm still getting the hang of it. Didn't quite get how to leverage all the cool text formatting features (so simple to add bold or italics in a new draft) until I realized that in addition to the text bubble sort of quick response, I can also tap the "plus sign" and the compose icon to construct my reply in a full window. I can also add a brief sound clip, image, take a photo, or send a scribble. Love the versatile signature feature except that I'd like to have more than one signature, and I don't see how to do that, either. Still learning! I wanted to give this more stars but because of the black/gray I mentioned and the fact that some elements of email threads don't actually render I have to knock it down. I remain hopeful... ### 2/5 — I wanted to like it… *2017-04-29, version 1.7.2* …but it is wayyyyyy tooooo buggy and unreliable for business or pleasure. Email apps have to be rock solid like a phone. It's critical communication. No room for dropped, lost and duplicated emails. I really hope the dev keeps trying. The design is different and unfamiliar, but I've started getting the hang of it quickly. It makes sense, even if it's new to me. Configuring accounts was a snap. I really like this app and I wish I could rate it higher. The problem is stability. It crashes. A lot! I like the features that this app has, signatures with pics and able to use cursive etc. The fact that it is with colors gives me the advantage of being able to rely on the icons colors instead of constantly having to check the same grayish icons in other apps. No access to Google Drive or OneDrive files. - Doubles spaces everything including signature. I tried 5 times to set up this app and every time it just locked up on the screen. How does this get past apple QC? Good thing it was free to try! ### 1/5 — Good concept poor execution *2017-04-28, version 1.7.2* I tried to like this email application, but it fails in so many ways. It does not appear that there is any way to remove old accounts from the app once it sets them up. Setting up an imap account generates at least 2 of the same account with different pieces of setup information missing at times. Setting up imap account does this or it hangs and never completes. I have setup a imap account and let the sit at testing for the account build for 20+ minutes and it does not complete. Closing the app causes the app to crash on startup. To try again you are to uninstall the app and reinstall and start all over. ### 1/5 — Cannot Attach PDFs or Files *2016-05-26, version 1.6.1* The native Apple mail program can do more than this app. You can only attach a photo or links with Envelope. One cannot attach files or PDFs. I had hoped this program would have been better, but I am glad it was only 1.99 that I wasted. Deleted ### 1/5 — Hangs after install *2015-03-03, version 1.3* After installing on my iPad 2 and entering the relevant email account info, the app pops up a message checking the account login, but just hangs at this point. No other info, no way to cancel it, no way to enter more detailed account info which I guess it does not require.... Tried several times. The app looks like it would be great.... If it worked. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Stellar! No issues, long time user *2018-08-09, version 1.7.6* I don't know why others are having issues. I have none, zero. Connecting Gmail is odd to add - you don't fill in login in the app. You hit the add button and it takes you to Gmail login interface. I use it on an iPhone 8 Plus, iPad Mini 3, and iPad Pros. No issues with crashing, connecting accounts, dealing with massive amounts of e-mails - I have 6 or more e-mail accounts including Gmail, Microsoft, Apple, and my own sever/websites e-mail accounts. For years. As I said, I've been using this app for many years. It went to and stays at GREAT, UNIQUE, and POWERFUL. The developer maintains it regularly, it's one of the only couple of iOS apps that I've been able to count on using long term and is still worth using over newer apps. ### 5/5 — Great App and Support *2016-10-08, version 1.7.1* This is the first review that I have ever written on any app and I usually don't but in this case I thought it appropriate the app wasn't working quite properly and I sent an email to one of the developers that the mail was not pushing to the app and I have to login every time I open the app it only took several hours for him to fix the problem he sent me emails to let me know what the status was all the way along and asked me if there were any other issues that I may have incredible support team thank you so much and I will continue to be loyal to this app ### 5/5 — Delightful *2016-05-31, version 1.6.1* Take time to get to know this app and its caring devs! I like this app more and more every day. It lets me save phone memory, lovely interface, signature feature is popping, easy controls like delete from box view, organize with tabs, more. Have used many e-mail clients and this seems to be my go-to from now on. Love the featured of being able to see all e-mails in a list from a particular source; "photos" feature, multitude of icons, swipe overs, etc. Will update my rating after using app for a couple weeks. They fixed the issue with gmail crashing and I have been able to use the app with no problems ever since. It's the perfect email app. I love it. Thank you for fixing the issue. The layout is so easy and it works just the way I need it to. I feel so much more organized and in control of my mail again. There is much less clutter in my inbox and it takes me seconds to delete unwanted emails rather than endless minutes trying to organize it like I did before on my other email apps. 😊 Thank you! 💕✨👍😄👍 ✨ (( previous rating)) It's a great app and I love the layout, but it continually crashes like the other reviews said. Once they fix that, it will be my favorite and best email app!! For the brief time I used the app I was really happy with its functionality and the ease of filtering my emails. I did however have a hard time finding the non filtered email folders. I deleted something by accident and couldn't find the trash folder to retrieve the email. I would really love to come back and give it 5 stars!! Please fix the crash issue.
