I am Pranil more; person with visual impairment. During these days, I am facing some issues while reading a soft copy of PDFS on I phone with voice over without any app; hence I tried to use envision AI as an alternative method. However, I regret to bring to your notice that, even despite using “rescan” option in said app, same almost destroys an original content of PDF, which becomes weird to listen to any soft copy of PDF. For E.G.: for word “customer”, it reads “mer”, for word “sanction”; it reads “senction” And so on. Few of these are just an example, however, it almost makes all the PDF content messy and irritating; specially a soft copies. Kindly look in to this and work on it. Secondly, unable to read PDFs through simple on finger swipe, I have to read the same by moving here and their to check whether any content got missed. Kindly note the same and do the needful. Вы создали прекраснейшее приложение, которое помогает многим незрячим и слабовидящим пользователям. Но у меня к вам один единственный вопрос. Когда я нажимаю на кнопку описать изображение, мне Envision выдает такое сообщение. Поддержка Envision Ии скоро прекратится. И меня просят перейти на другое приложение. Если честно, очень не хотелось бы. Чтобы вы закрывали такой прекраснейший продукт. Им пользуются достаточно большое количество пользователей. Я им начала пользоваться только сегодня. The only problem is, yes, I did play around with it and yes, I knew that the object that I wanted to find was in front of me. It on the other hand did not it did not process and therefore it did not tell me that the object was there. That concerns me. Because if people were trying to find a backpack, and if they were in a hurry, it wouldn’t tell them. This is a real downfall of the app. ### 3/5 — Serious hallucination issues *2025-07-11* Started using this app a few months ago and I’ve had some serious AI hallucination issues that my other go-to AI app, AIRA, has never had in the year plus that I’ve used it. To give you one example, I was listening to an Islamic lecture entitled The Blessings of Knowledge on a well-known Islamic site. It turned out the website wasn’t too good on my computer so I listened to it on my phone, and since I couldn’t know for sure using Voiceover who was giving the lecture, I took a screenshot and shared it with Envision. I knew there was a picture of the speaker so thought maybe he had an inaccessible caption with his nane. Envision told me the right title of the lecture, The Blessings of Knowledge, but said it was being given by Pastor Paul Trip, and no one on the sight has that name let alone the title of Pastor which belongs exclusively to Christian’s. ### 5/5 — Annoying verification codes! *2025-07-03, version 3.4.2* I never thought that this app would be useful or come in handy. I got tired of trying to find a way of linking apps on Apple TV to my my account some apps like iHeartRadio, Spotify, prime video. Always wants you to go to their website and put in a six digit verification code. As I had no friends, family I found this a challenge trying to do this for myself. I tried to use Vision. I put read instant. Text aimed at my TV screen and I got the code. I was skeptical that this would not work as a great surprise it did. I was able to link my account to the Services that wanted a verification code! My opinion this is a great app. I greatly want to say thanks for this app and I am glad it turned out as well as I would hoped it would be. Auch, weil es immer gut ist, Alternativen zu haben. Der Fokus auf KI und das völlige Desinteresse an der Richtigkeit der Beschreibungen und zweifelhafte Handelspraktiken lassen mich die Apps von Envision leider deinstallieren. Pomimo zgłaszanych uwag nie zostało to naprawione od pół roku prawie… ### 1/5 — Una copia mal riuscita di Seeing AI e Be My Eyes *2025-09-13, version 3.4.9* Francamente non capisco come questa app potesse un tempo essere addirittura a pagamento. Offre alcune funzioni che si trovano già gratuitamente in altre app, come Be My Eyes e Seeing AI, ma qui risultano praticamente inutilizzabili perché malfunzionanti. Ad esempio, la funzione di riconoscimento del testo è imbarazzante: sia in modalità “al volo” che tramite analisi di un’immagine scattata con la fotocamera, il risultato è un’accozzaglia di caratteri senza senso. Ho provato con una ricevuta fiscale: con questa app non ho ottenuto nulla di leggibile, mentre con Seeing AI ho avuto una lettura perfetta, con tanto di tabella chiara e dettagliata, completa di intestazioni, beni acquistati, aliquota IVA, costi unitari, totali e metodo di pagamento. Anche la funzione di riconoscimento immagini basata su intelligenza artificiale è deludente: descrizioni scarne, vaghe e piene di errori. Al contrario, con Be My Eyes (alimentato da ChatGPT) ho ricevuto descrizioni precise, ricche di dettagli e davvero utili. Non so se la situazione attuale sia dovuta al fatto che, una volta diventata gratuita, l’app sia stata abbandonata o comunque poco curata.
