*2024-07-30, version 3.0.9* I don’t know who programmed this app but it is clear they had never used a mobile phone before. The QR code doesn’t scan, the registration process is horrific - you have to set a password and there are no indications what kind of password you need until you enter it (twice) and it says ‘you need a capital letter’ so you try to put one at the end and it obliterates everything. Then you renter and get a ‘you must have a number’ so you repeat the whole process. Then you have to type all you credit card details individually. Then you try to find where you are and the QR codes don’t work. So you use the man funtion which was hand drawn by a six year old. Then it say it will charge you a £ for parking in the space as well as for charging. By which time you’ve vowed you will hunt the developers down… 20 minutes it took me to complete all that nonsense. ### 1/5 — Overcharging Prices *2024-06-03, version 3.0.9* I’ve used this app a few times and the UI is so poor setup would take 5 mins. I’ve had issues with the payment options too. It seems it takes a deposit of money, almost like a gift card and then uses that credit to charge your car. The only thing is is that they charged me $40 and then on my 3rd or 4th charge they took another $40. This app is a scam and their company should not exist. ### 1/5 — Can’t register *2024-06-01, version 3.0.9* My partner and I both tried to register on our phones. Just kept looping us around between registration and sign in page. Very poor experience - needless to say we didn’t charge 🤷‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Absurd set up, wish I could rate lower *2024-05-14, version 3.0.9* Imagine. You pull into a service station. Download the app. Plug in. Then maybe you find out the cost of the fuel. This is the absurd system that is employed here. I of course didn’t get as far as the plugging in. There is no information regarding the cost anywhere on the app or website. If I don’t have internet connection, how can I download the apps. This is the worst experience for the charging apps. Since there are lot of complaint, why this apps still in use or can be download? RIDICULOUS ### 1/5 — Horrendous *2024-01-26, version 3.0.9* Hard to think of a worse possible experience with the charger and the app. Qr scanner doesn’t work, charger won’t log as connected, and help phone number cuts out as the person is on a mobile with crappy coverage. Every session the same, multiple tries to login or enable to login. Then App will not end session. Multiple attempts to end (6-10) still logged in!!! Total frustration. Don’t buy an EO charger - I regret it. ### 1/5 — Stuck in a circular loop from hell *2023-10-29, version 3.0.9* Have tried multiple times to “add payment method” only to be told I don’t have internet connection (I clearly do and have enable mobile data for the app). When you try to charge, it then tells you there’s no payment method. DONT USE THIS APP. Couldn’t add payment when prompted and needed to go into account section. Then when you finally get to start charging it dies after 10 minutes but keeps charging you, tried to reset and pause but no use. Too many different apps public qr codes sun bleached or scratched off. But I didnt even get as far as charging as the QR codes and site numbers have all worn away from weather/sunlight. How can any serious company let such a basic concept fly over their heads? Despite a proper email address and what I assume was a compliant password (I tried several different ones and there were no rules listed) the register button was greyed out. I downloaded it fine, registered straight away and was charging within about 3 minutes. No bells or whistles but it seems to do the job fine. ### 3/5 — App stuck in the past *2020-05-20, version 2.3.2* App is not user friendly. Feels like it hasn’t been updated for 10years. Allowed me to accept terms that failed to load. Not comfortable adding my CC to the account as concerns over app security. Keyboard layout seems to be from an iPhone 3G and is awful to use. Even the Terms and Conditions at the start just said “error loading” and still let me accept them. ### 2/5 — Lacking Basic Functionality *2024-01-01, version 3.0.9* App lacks basic features such as telling you what it costs to use a charge point and how powerful the charger is. It tells you that you need to plug in to the charger first. That’s not much use if you want to know that information before travelling to the charging station. ### 2/5 — Sort out QR code scanning *2023-12-23, version 3.0.9* After numerous failed attempts to use this app to charge I realised that if you scan the chargers QR code to download the app it takes you to the EO home charging app. After wasting time downloading and registering only to find it wouldn’t work I gave up. I’ve now found the correct EO so will give a go next time. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with my charge point *2020-10-08, version 2.3.2* Rather disappointed that this is not the app used for my charge point and the EO website is misleading in this respect. I have had to use the Juicenet app to connect to my EO mini ### 2/5 — Poor Phone Support *2020-03-06, version 2.1.1* After having the charger installed, I thought the app might be worth a try as it’s a smart one after all. To say it looks like the original iPhone apps is a compliment. Please update support for newer iPhones so it’s not blurry /stretched.
