### 1/5 — They scam you

*2026-01-08*

I received a broken vehicle told I would get a refund when they picked up, have it all in writing even that they acknowledged the broken trunk from previous customer then now refusing to refund me. Currently in legal process

**Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear about your experience and take all concerns seriously. We have been actively engaged in resolving this matter through the appropriate channels. However, characterizing this situation as a “scam” is inaccurate and does not reflect how we operate or how this case has been handled.

We remain open to resolving legitimate issues in good faith and will continue to address this matter through the proper process.

### 4/5 — Solid

Great trip - clear & concise

### 1/5 — They’ll scam you

*2025-06-08*

I plan on suing this app. They’ll ghost charge you for mileage or tolls. They’ll blame their insurance provider for denying your reservation when you already have full coverage. They literally denied my reservation blaming their insurance provider and I have a 100k policy. My deductible is literally $100 lol.

**Developer response:** Dante, you were permanently banned last year after an unresolved accident, failure to return the car, unpaid balances, and threats toward our staff — which forced us to repossess the vehicle. Attempting to rebook under a fake account only confirmed why that ban was necessary.

Calling us a “scam” because we enforced those rules — or because you were denied by our insurance provider due to your prior behavior — doesn’t change the facts. We take customer safety and accountability seriously, and we reserve the right to refuse rentals to individuals who violate our terms. We encourage you to use another service.

### 1/5 — Never ever use Eon to rent a car

*2025-05-23*

On May 21, 2025, I rented a Tesla Model X through EON. Less than five minutes after picking up the vehicle, a Low PSI warning appeared on the dashboard. I immediately stopped to inflate the tires at a nearby gas station, but the pressure kept dropping. Within a day, the tire completely blew out.

Before the rental, the EON agent only asked me to send photos of the odometer and battery level—nothing was said about checking or photographing tire pressure (PSI). I followed their instructions exactly. However, after the incident, the company tried to shift the blame onto me, asking why I didn’t take photos of the PSI, which was never mentioned at the start.

Three separate auto repair shops all confirmed that the tire was in an unsafe condition and should not have been driven on. As a result, I had to pay over $700 just for towing, and I now have to purchase and replace the tire myself, entirely at my own expense.

I had purchased the Standard Protection plan, but I was told that it does not cover flat tires. This is an insurance plan that offers no real protection in situations like this.

I drove the car for less than five hours total—all within one day. If the issue had not been a tire but a more serious mechanical failure, it could have led to a life-threatening accident involving me and my family.

And this is not the first issue I’ve had with EON. In the past, I scheduled a pickup for 1 AM, which was approved in advance by EON. But when I arrived at the garage, the staff on site had no idea about the reservation, shouted at me to leave, and told me to come back another time. I had already taken an Uber there, which cost me $60 round trip, only to leave without the vehicle.

EON shows a complete disregard for safety, accountability, and basic customer service. When my car broke down in the middle of the highway, I was left to solve everything on my own. Even Tesla’s roadside assistance refused to help, saying they don’t assist rental vehicles, and insisted EON should take full responsibility—which they didn’t.

This is more than an inconvenience—it’s a serious risk. As someone who has frequently used EON in the past, I can no longer recommend this service to anyone. Renting a car from EON is not just a bad experience—it’s a dangerous one.

**Developer response:** Doyool, we're stepping in here because your review leaves out critical facts and creates an extremely misleading narrative.

The simple truth is your tire failed because you ran over a massive nail during the trip. You sent us a photo from the tire shop showing a big nail and huge hole in the tire — that's what we call an unpredictable road hazard. No pre-trip inspection or PSI photo could have prevented or predicted that. The reason the team asked you if you took a picture of the tire pressure is because you insisted this nail was already there in the car before you drove off with it, which would be impossible because there was no one in the car before you for 24 hours, so any nail that size already in the tire would have rendered it completely flat at pickup. Suggesting the car was unsafe at pickup is simply false, you ran over a nail during your trip, and that caused a flat, we investigated this thoroughly...

You claim you were abandoned, but we were in communication and provided guidance. The first shop you chose made things worse by trying to patch an un-patchable puncture (the hole was enormous) — that failure falls entirely on them, not us.

Regarding your protection plan: you were informed, clearly and upfront, that the Standard Protection plan does not cover road hazard damage. This is industry-standard, and pretending it should cover everything after the fact misrepresents the agreement you accepted. We do offer a premium protection which also includes services like roadside and flats, but you declined this coverage.

Bringing up an unrelated late-night pickup issue from over a year ago — which was fully resolved and reimbursed — only adds unnecessary noise to the real facts.

We take guest extremely seriously, but we also won’t accept false claims or distorted stories. The facts here are clear: you hit a large nail, the patch job failed, and you were responsible for the resulting repairs — as any renter would be under the terms you agreed to.

We stand by how we handled this matter.

### 5/5 — Great Experience!

### 5/5 — My New Go-To

*2025-04-16*

Wow! Renting with Eon was an amazing experience. The tech integrations are incredible and the team was responsive to my every need. I’ll definitely be renting through them again.

### 5/5 — Genuinely excellent

*2025-03-29*

I have been renting from this platform for two years now and this new app version is simply excellent - final bow on superb customer service, pricing and convenience.

### 5/5 — Smooth and easy

*2025-03-26*

Rental went super smoothly, just booked and showed up to pick up. App was clean and easy

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-03-24, version 1.0.5*

The app doesn’t show my bookings. Customer service told me they’d have tech look at it. I called 3 times and still no answer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Inefficient & privacy grabbing

*2026-08-12*

Downloaded expecting a Turo like app for similar smooth transaction but no. So many more additional app s you will also need to download for somehow unnecessary levels of verification… like how many times verification do you need? Also at one point it asks to upload a picture of the driver and the credit card being used showing clear card numbers… tell me this is not scammy to the most degree… I’m just renting a car not slaving my portrait or my card info away?? If this is the case then it should have been clearly listed and known to the potential users, prior to em downloading the app. Long story short. If there is only take away, you are better off to just stick with Turo.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the feedback. We know the verification steps can feel like a lot, but they protect both renters and the vehicles on the platform, and we only ask for what we need to confirm that the driver and payment method match.

We're working on simplifying this process, and we will update our verification experience soon.

### 1/5 — Awful experience so far

*2026-08-09*

1 star. Extremely frustrating experience. My rental had already started, and the Eon app showed both check-in and pickup as completed, yet the “Car Access” section was completely blank and I had no way to unlock or enter the vehicle.

I was physically at the pickup location with an assigned car but effectively stranded outside of it. I called the assigned agent repeatedly and received no answer. For a supposedly app-based, keyless rental service, actually being able to access the car is the most basic part of the experience.

I had completed every required step, authorized the security deposit, and the app itself said pickup was complete, yet I still could not use the vehicle I was paying for. There also appeared to be no immediate backup solution when the digital access failed.

I travel frequently and have rented cars many times, and this was one of the most unnecessarily stressful pickup experiences I’ve had. Eon seriously needs a reliable after-hours support system and a backup method of vehicle access when the app fails.

**Developer response:** Hi, we're sorry this happened. We'd like to look into what went wrong with car access and why you couldn't reach anyone. Please email support@eonrides.com with your trip ID (you can find it in your receipt) so we can follow up with you directly and make this right.

### 1/5 — Promising but execution is lacking

*2026-07-31*

Promising app but my experience was it doesn’t deliver.

Car advertised are latest models. Car I was matched to was 2022. Customer support said they don’t have latest MY but that what are advertised…

No ability to set a distance radius for pickup. Resulted in a pickup location 80 miles from my apartment.

I tried to call to find something closer, I never heard back from support, I had to call, they said they would get back to me, they didn’t.

Two days before the pickup dates, they needed to change the car and then have me swap the car 80 miles away again.

It’s a shame as I really excited to use this service but it turned out to be too good to be true

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the honest feedback. This is not the experience we want anyone to have. We'd like to look into what happened with your booking and the follow-up you never received. Please email support@eonrides.com with the email you booked under, and our team will follow up with you directly.

### 1/5 — Great Idea, Poor Execution

*2026-07-17*

I really like the concept behind Eon Rides, but the execution still has a long way to go.

The biggest issue is customer service. A service that’s marketed as on demand should have live chat or real-time support. I feel like there is only one employee manning the customer service lind. Instead, you’re left waiting with very little communication. In some ways, it’s more frustrating than renting from Avis or Hertz because at least with them, once your reservation is confirmed, you know you’ll have a car.

My first rental was okay. Accessing the car was easy, but it was filthy inside. I ended up paying out of pocket to have it cleaned before I felt comfortable driving it. They did issue me a credit afterward, which I appreciated, but customers shouldn’t have to clean their rental before using it.

My second experience with the subscription was even more frustrating. Eon charged my card before confirming they actually had a vehicle available. I have no problem paying in advance, but these rentals can cost $500 or more for an extended booking. It’s not fair to charge a customer that much money before confirming availability, then leave them waiting with little to no communication or updates.

The idea behind Eon is fantastic, but there is too much uncertainty every time you book. Don’t charge customers until you’ve confirmed the vehicle is actually available.

### 1/5 — “Get In & Go”? More like “Arrive, wait, call support, and hope.”

*2026-07-04*

I booked a car for 6:00 a.m. and arrived on time, only to spend 45 minutes trying to unlock it through the app. Nothing worked. After calling customer support, I eventually received an email at 7:09 a.m.—more than an hour after my booking had started—telling me the vehicle required maintenance.

If the car needed maintenance, why was it available to book in the first place? Why wasn’t I notified before I arrived?

To make matters worse, there were five other EON cars in the same garage, yet I was told there were no replacement vehicles available, even though my booking had only just started.

The app promises “Get In & Go – Your Eon will be ready when you are.” My experience was the complete opposite.

What concerns me most is that the booking has now completely disappeared from my account, leaving no record that the vehicle couldn’t be used or that the booking was cancelled. Whether intentional or not, removing the booking history makes it much harder for customers to demonstrate what happened.

I lost over an hour of my morning because EON couldn’t provide the booked vehicle, failed to notify me until after my booking had started, couldn’t offer a replacement, and now there’s no record of the failed booking in the app. That’s not the level of reliability anyone should expect from a car-sharing service.

**Developer response:** Hi Hesham,

What you described is not the experience we want anyone to have, and we understand why it left you frustrated.

We've reached out to you directly to make things right and to get a few more details so we can look into what went wrong. We'd really appreciate the chance to turn this around for you.

The Eon Team

### 1/5 — Poorly Ran Company.

*2026-04-26*

I paid for a week I was behind and they still towed my car without warning with my belongings in there. So now I have to spend money to take a trip out to get my stuff. This company will get 5 stars if they listen to the consumers about their plans instead of being stubborn about it. NOT EVERY ONE GETS PAID WEEKLY.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Vehicle recovery is never a decision we take lightly - in this case, it followed an extended period of non-payment and multiple notices communicated directly and was not done without warning. Your belongings are available for pickup at our location at any time; please reach out to support@eonrides.com, and we’ll coordinate that immediately.

### 1/5 — Hosts overcharge on tolls and charging without documentation

*2026-04-25*

.5 Stars if I could

I wanted to like Eon given all the positive reviews, but my experience was the complete opposite. I was overcharged for tolls and supercharging, and when I asked for documentation, the host couldn’t provide any proof—just made-up charges.

Customer support didn’t resolve the issue in a meaningful way, which is concerning for a service that handles variable, usage-based costs. Transparency should be the bare minimum here. They never got the receipts from the host to verify. But is public knowledge that you shouldn’t be charged twice in the same day for “congestion pricing” in NYC. I was. And when asked for receipts they said the host can’t provide them.

Great concept and cars, but billing integrity matters. I wouldn’t use them again until they fix this.

### 1/5 — Literally been standing outside in the cold for 30 minutes.

*2026-04-17*

Do not rent a vehicle from this company. This is the second time in a month that I’ve had a vehicle with them and the key stops working. There’s nothing they can do and I get to stand outside of the vehicle in the pole while I wait for them to handle it when they don’t answer the phone when you call they don’t answer your text messages when you text for an hour sometimes and then you just get to hang out outside of a vehicle that you’ve already paid for.

**Developer response:** Hi, we're sorry this trip didn't go the way it should have. The experience you're describing isn't the standard we hold ourselves to, and we'd like to look into it. Please email support@eonrides.com with your trip ID (you can find it in your receipt) so we can follow up with you directly.

### 1/5 — Horrible Experience

*2026-03-25*

The first time placing an order has been a horrible experience for me. I booked it almost a week ahead to make sure everything goes smooth. Submitted all documents from my side as requested, and since then it kept saying profile under review. Assuming everything was going smooth, and that the security deposit would be deducted 24 hours before, I was finally contacted 48 hours prior stating that I needed to submit my license with a selfie and all was good to go. About an hour later I receive another email saying my booking has been denied. Upon contacting Eon over the phone I was given no specific reason for the denial besides the fact that it was their verification teams decision. I was even willing to provide more documents should the situation required but all I was told was a “sorry”. It left me fuming to think that now I would have to look for another booking with just about a day on hand at the last minute. For whatever reason had they completed their process earlier I would have arranged alternatives. Such poor accountability from a company. Will not recommend to anyone.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the feedback. Please email support@eonrides.com with the email you booked under, and our team will follow up with you directly.

### 1/5 — Terrible experience

*2026-02-18*

I want to start by saying the staff have been kind and genuinely trying to fix the issues, and I do appreciate their effort. However, the overall experience has been extremely disappointing.

The first vehicle I received was not properly cleaned. It smelled strongly of cigarettes and had stains throughout the interior and exterior. After driving for about an hour, I received a system warning that the automatic braking had stopped working and that all cameras were offline while I was on the highway 70 mile/hr, the whole screen turn red with warning signals. I had to call customer support and drive an hour back from my trip to exchange the vehicle.

When I returned, the replacement car was still being cleaned, while the customer support promised 1 hour ago that the transition will be seamless and fast. I had to wait for it to be ready with car smell like straight detergent, and the Full Self-Driving feature I paid for also not functioning. I’m still on the phone with costomer support right now

Additionally, there is no physical office near the garage, so when issues arise, customers are essentially on their own.

Good luck.

**Developer response:** Hi Chingyu, we really appreciate you taking the time to write this out, and we're sorry it ended up this way. This isn't how we want any trip to go, and we'd like to look into it. Please email support@eonrides.com with your trip ID (you can find it in your receipt) and we'll follow up with you directly.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — AMAZINGG

*2026-07-10*

I mean where do I even get started, the app experience is spectacular! It’s so futuristic and the best part is I can drive a Tesla, and have Tesla app functionality without downloading the Tesla app, it’s an amazing ecosystem that lives within Eon. Will be renting again for sure.

### 5/5 — Made our trip better

*2026-07-10*

I've tried both normal rental companies and peer to peer apps and this felt like a nice balance between the two. Booking was simple, communication was clear, and I didn't run into any surprises. The car was clean when I received it. Hopefully the app keeps growing because I would definitely use it again. We needed help figuring out where to return the car. the person, who helped us, was so nice.

### 5/5 — Best car rental app!!

*2026-07-09*

Such a great find. The experience couldn’t be smoother. Being able to unlock the car with my phone was honestly so cool and made pickup and dropoff incredibly easy. I also loved that the app had short videos showing you how to use the car, which was especially helpful since we rented an EV for the first time. If you ever need anything, it's all handled right in the app, so the whole experience feels really seamless. The car was super clean and comfortable, autopilot was such a huge unlock for night drive on the highway. I'll definitely be using this app again for future trips. Highly recommend!!

### 5/5 — Great fun experience!

*2026-02-18*

The only thing I wish had been different is. I wish there had been a cable to charge at home because we live out in the country. Having the car ready to roll in the morning would have been a time saver. Probably won’t rent Tesla again unless I can get that.

### 5/5 — Great easy process

*2025-12-13*

Seamless experience, easy to use and friendly staff. Won’t ever use enterprise again.

### 5/5 — Effortless Rental

*2025-12-12*

My 4th time renting from Eon and it’s always easy and quick to do.

### 5/5 — Easiest way to rent an EV

*2025-11-11*

This app was so easy to use! So much better than what I was doing before with rentals.

### 5/5 — I love Eon!

*2025-10-12*

I’ve used Eon twice now and both times been incredibly impressed by the car. It makes me want to become an owner!

### 5/5 — BEST UI/UX EVER. Whole experience feels luxurious & seamless.

*2025-07-01*

Love love love this app and the way this company runs with the modern user in mind. Prices are competitive and stellar (rented a blue tesla for $54/day), pick up times are sooo flexible and the whole experience was seamless. Never been so easy to rent a nice car -- don't use anything else now!!!

### 5/5 — What a great app!!

*2025-06-13*

Tons of vehicles to choose from, and I love the delivery options. They make everything easy. I can’t wait to book more trips with Eon!
