### 1/5 — Lost all purchased magazines!

*2016-07-19*

Something has changed with this version of the app. All my purchased downloaded magazines are gone. And now the app wants me to log on which it didn't require isn't the past.

Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Problems with subscription

*2016-07-05*

The emagazine is good, however, they e changed their subscription and now I can't access the past editions I have already paid for! Buyer beware--any changes the company makes, the consumer is the one who pays the price.

### 1/5 — Waste of space

*2016-05-31*

Won't let me into my subscriptions and the support is just a list of questions and no help

### 1/5 — Useless

*2016-05-29*

Utterly useless.

Won't recognise my subscription. Tried to sort it out online, to no avail.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2016-05-29*

I have an old subscription that still has 5 issues I'm entitled to. I can't use this app to redeem my 5 issues and can't load my previously purchased issued, it just keeps asking me to login even though I am already logged in. Not worth the space it takes up on my iPad.

### 1/5 — I understand that without a valid subscription, all previous editions are not available

*2016-04-28*

I have just been informed that unless you have a valid subscription, any previous issues of EOS Magazine that you have already paid for and downloaded in previous subscription years will no longer be accessible on your iPad.
So, unless you renew each and every year, all your previous editions of the magazine that you have already purchased will not be accessible.
This is what just happened to me and I was informed by EOS Magazine support that:
“Unfortunately yes, you do need a valid subscription. We do apologise for this! I totally understand your frustration.”
Maybe I should have read the T&C's?

### 1/5 — Canon Advertisement

*2016-04-01*

As a Canon professional photographer I assumed this would be packed with great information. In reality it is just an advertisement for all of Canon's products in one magazine. Useful information is hard to find, especially for a professional. This is a disappointment. It should be free for what it is.

### 1/5 — Not acceptable

*2015-09-26*

Not acceptable - your magazines from your past subscribstion are unaccesible, once your subscription ends.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2015-01-23*

It has never worked for me.
I can see my magazines but when trying to read them it just keeps taking me to subscriptions page.
I have complained to them and received an email stating that I need to shut the app and try again.....that was all the help I got, needless to say it didn't help.
Don't waste your time with it, useless!

### 1/5 — Stupid App

*2014-12-31*

When I download your "app" I eventually located the "app" in Newstand as a "magazine" so where is the "app" and how do I change my account password, and why does this "app" seem to insist I need a subscription when I already have one and used it to download editions through my browser? Sheesh!

### 1/5 — Eos mag

*2013-05-18*

App broke will not open

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wasted Hours

*2026-07-10*

I spent hours with this app and eventually gave up. Awaiting a subscription refund.

I did manage to get it to work for an hour but then it refused to accept my password.

Password reset process doesn’t work either.

Disappointing.

### 1/5 — Not very impressed

*2024-10-12*

Only appears to work if you have an active subscription.
Once your subscription expires you will loose ALL access to previous issues that you have downloaded.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-07-12*

Looks like this is no longer supported by EOS Magazine as keep getting response it is no longer available to purchase. All past purchased issues are also unavailable.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2019-01-22*

No help from the developer or Apple

### 1/5 — Apple's management of (EOS mag) renewals is the issue

*2018-12-04*

iTunes (this year and last year) did not recognise completed subscription renewals and persisted in offering opportunities to subscribe rather than allowing me to download the latest issues of the EOS magazine.
The magazine publisher has kindly allowed me to download my paid-for issues directly, so all credit to them.
I shall cancel my subscription via iTunes in 2019 and download future issues directly from the publisher instead.
Assumption: Apple has not singled out EOS Magazine for poor service.
Conclusion: Other magazines are similarly affected.
Recommendation: Avoid magazine subscriptions via iTunes, deal directly with publishers.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time.

*2018-12-02*

This is a complete waste of time and space, could not access any digital copies. All it does is ask for subscriptions take my advice, keep away from this waste of space app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-05-11*

I have just recently renewed my subscription and cannot access any of the editions on the app. Tried contacting customer services several times, but so far they have not fixed the problem.

### 1/5 — Subscription not Accepted

*2018-04-24*

No way to restore subscription purchased through Apple. Not impressed. Waiting for support to fix.

### 1/5 — Terrible!!

*2018-04-23*

I downloaded the app on Sunday, subscribed to the magazine and nothing! I can’t access the magazine.. the app itself doesn’t seem to work well either , you can’t click on anything other than the payment options!
Twenty quid down the drain!!!
I’ve emailed but reading the other reviews I can see no one replying or being fully refunded!!!! If no one does reply or fully refunds me , I shall be contacting the ombudsman...

### 1/5 — EOS app not working

*2016-11-15*

I can download and read issues but that is it. I cannot log-in so I can't control my subscription. Working with publisher of magazine to get help, but it is slow going due to the 6 hours time difference between my home and the publications offices.

Great magazine. Poor app.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great publication

*2022-03-01*

Not sure why this app gets such bad press. Maybe it’s disgruntled Nikon owners! I’ve used it for a few years and it’s steadily improved. Great read, quick to download and I’ve got immediate access to all my back issues. What’s not to like!

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2016-06-02*

I have managed to get into my subscription with no problem at all. This is just what I have been waiting for, it is so much more convenient that reading the magazines from my desktop. The App works very well, with no glitches (that I have encountered). The magazine itself is great, whether you are a beginner or more experienced photographer. There is always something in the magazine that I can take away and use.
Well done!

### 5/5 — Must have for EOS users!

*2014-01-26*

This is one magazine you won't regret buying. It is full of useful information. This is a high quality magazine that tells you everything you need to know in order to take professional photos.

### 3/5 — Update causes app to crash

*2013-05-19*

I gave this app 3 stars because the app keeps crashing following an update. I had to delete the app and install to get it to stop crashing. I also had to download copies of the magazine again.
