## What is EOSAM 2026?

European Optical Society Annual Meeting (EOSAM)

Dates: 24-28 August 2026
Location: Tampere, Finland

The European Optical Society (EOS) Annual Meeting, EOSAM, is a major international scientific
conference and exhibition covering all aspects of optics and photonics. 
In 2026, we will celebrate 35 years since the creation of the EOS, and 20 years since
establishing EOSAM as a platform for experts in the field of optics and photonics, bringing forth
new research results, state-of-the-art, and bridging the gap between research, education, and
industry. EOSAM is attended annually by around 500 top researchers, key leaders, students,
and industry experts. 
EOSAM 2026 is organized by The European Optical Society, EOS, in close collaboration with
Photonics Finland, Tampere University, and PREIN Flagship. 
At EOSAM, you can look forward to a dynamic and engaging week that includes:
• A Comprehensive Scientific and Industrial Program featuring the latest research and
technological developments in optics and photonics. 
• Tutorials offering in-depth sessions on specialized topics, held just before the main
conference begins. 
• Plenary and Invited Talks delivering insights from leading experts and pioneers in the
field. 
• A Global Audience, with participants representing over 30 countries, fostering diverse

attendees. Since its inception in 2006, EOSAM has been held in France, Scotland, Germany, the
Netherlands, Italy, and Portugal.
