### 4/5 — Great no nonsense tracker

*2026-07-26*

I enjoy this app, and my new dragon friend (maybe by tapping it sometimes could be a fun add!). The import/export feature is great and super easy to use. I like the color choices as well. Some of the stats are not valuable to me but that’s ok. I would like to see an easier way to add books though instead of having to first go to TBR then journal and then start reading. It’s growing on me but that would be my only ‘future update ask’. The one time fee (if you’re adding more than 50 books) is definitely fair as this keeps the app subscription free (and one of my big dislikes with the other trackers). Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Love this book tracker!

*2026-07-10*

I’ve tried a few book tracking apps that just didn’t resonate with me. I was always on the hunt for a new book tracking app. The developer made a post on Reddit about this app and I signed up to be a beta testers. Everyone’s suggestions were implemented and all the bugs were fixed. With this app you can track all books no matter what form (audio book, ebook etc), my favorite is the ability to add characters and pictures of them. You can change the color of the app, get plenty of stats if that's your thing, a calendar, journal section, many other things I won't list so this review isn't too long lol. There's a cute dragon that pops up ever so often and the best thing is that you can get the premium version of this app for a very affordable one time purchase price and not have to worry about a subscription! I highly recommend this app!!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this, and for being part of the beta from the start. Testers like you genuinely shaped epilogue: so many of the features people are enjoying now came directly from suggestions in that Reddit thread, so this really is your app too.

It means a lot that the characters feature is your favourite. Being able to add faces and notes to a cast was one of those things I wasn't sure anyone else wanted, so hearing it landed makes my day. And yes, the one-time purchase is here to stay: no subscriptions, ever.

I'll pass your kind words on to the dragon. He's very pleased with himself.

Thanks again for recommending epilogue and for being such a big part of getting it here. Happy reading!

### 5/5 — Everything I was looking for

*2026-07-09*

This app makes it so easy to keep track of what I am reading, have read, and plan to read. I've never seen such a responsive developer, too. I love the graphics it generates and how it pulls covers and book data automatically- data input is one of the more challenging aspects of using a tracker but it is easy here. I imported from another app and I can quickly update my journal on the fly. Very pleased with it!

**Developer response:** Ah this is so nice to read, thank you. the data entry stuff is exactly what i fuss over the most, so hearing it's easy for you actually means a lot. that's the bit everyone usually hates

The responsive dev thing made me laugh, i built this for my wife cause she couldn't find a tracker she liked, and she still tests everything. it's fast become a community built app and loving working with you all to improve the app!

Thanks for taking the time to write all that, honestly. anything you ever want it to do, just email me epilogueapp@gmail.com 💚

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2026-07-09*

The app is Great, I can’t recommend it enough. I just wished they would add an option to write/type down notes from the books.

**Developer response:** Hey, there are options for notes - in the journal, you can add notes for each day, and in the book item itself there are fields for book descriptions, book notes and many more features - please use the contact us option within the app and will be more than happy to walk you through it :)

### 1/5 — Awful interface, worse marketing

*2026-07-03*

Definitely the worst tracker I've used. I bailed as the UI was so unappealing and the paywall wasn't clear before using.

All in all, that's what I should have expected from someone who is promoting it by slamming other trackers (and doing low effort market research at that), obviously the app quality was going to match that effort too. I'll be staying with the tracker I *actually* like, that has a clean interface and without a hidden book limit paywall! (Oh, and they're indie & single-dev, too!) Deuces

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for the "review".

as the first line of the app description reads "epilogue is the beautiful, private way to track everything you read — and actually OWN the app instead of renting it. No subscription, ever. Track up to 50 books free, then unlock unlimited with a single one-time purchase", I'm not entirely sure how it could have been clearer. appreciate the download none the less.

### 1/5 — Not Worth the Time

*2026-07-03*

The charts feel like a poor knockoff of Storygraph.

There’s a subscription that I wouldn’t need to pay on any other app.

Plus their service and socials seem really rude and unhelpful.

Passing on this one.

**Developer response:** Thanks for giving it a go. one thing worth clearing up though, there's no subscription anywhere in epilogue. it's free up to 50 books, and a single one-time payment unlocks unlimited after that. no recurring fees, ever.
the charts are their own approach rather than storygraph's, so if those are what you're used to, i get the preference.

### 5/5 — 5️⃣⭐️

*2026-07-01*

Best book tracker app I’ve used i would highly recommend this to anyone who reads books 5️⃣⭐️

**Developer response:** ah this is lovely, thank you. so glad it's the one that stuck for you 💚

### 5/5 — 5 stars from me

*2026-06-20*

Epilogue is a fantastic app for book lovers. It’s simple, beautifully designed, and makes it easy to save quotes, thoughts, and reflections while reading. Everything stays organised and easy to revisit later. Highly recommend I’d never switch app!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I'm thrilled that epilogue has become part of your reading life and that saving your quotes, thoughts, and reflections feels effortless. Keeping everything organised and easy to revisit is exactly what i set out to do, so it means a lot to hear it's working for you. Happy reading — and thank you for the recommendation! 📚

### 3/5 — Needs fixes

*2026-06-19*

I was on the lookout for a reading tracker that does not have an annual subscription fee and found this one. I really like that I can individualize some of the features, such as color and use of icons. I also enjoyed that I was able to import all of my reading stats.
However, this tracker has a few flaws. It is not as intuitive as it seems, and often does not find the books I have imported. It also does not seem to be able to download many of the book covers. I am most annoyed, though, that I am unable to add more reading time to a book if I pick up the book more than once. The sync between Apple devices is also hit and miss.
I will give tracker a little bit more time because it seems to be new and kicks need to be ironed out. I hope I can update this review with a higher rating later. For now, it only gets an average rating despite the cute dragon.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the thoughtful review — this is exactly the kind of feedback that helps me make epilogue better, and I really appreciate you giving it time while it finds its feet. 🐉

A few of your points are spot on, and I'm already on them:

Adding reading time when you pick a book up more than once — you're right, and I've fixed it. Multiple sessions in the same day now add together properly, and I'm making your logged reading time clearer to see on the day itself so it doesn't feel like it vanished.

Covers not downloading — some editions genuinely have no cover in the sources I search, but I'm improving the lookup (and you can always add your own from your photos). I'm also making that option easier to find.

Not finding imported books — this is a first, and I'd love to squash this; if you can tell me a title or two that won't come up, it'll help me pin it down fast.

Sync between Apple devices — I'm actively working on making this more reliable. If it's still flaky for you, please email me (in Settings → Contact) and I'll help directly. same for ANY issues you may find, just one email away from helping you directly.

Intuitiveness — fair, and I'm smoothing the rough edges as fast as I can. there is a lot of features in th app and making them flow is something im working on as i get feedback. so thank you.

Many of these improvements arrive automatically (no App Store wait). restart your app and hopefully youll see them working better now. I genuinely hope it earns that higher rating — and I'm thrilled the dragon landed. 🙂

### 5/5 — Amazing Book Tracker!

*2026-06-19*

I love this app and use it daily ever since I downloaded it. It has all the main features found in other popular apps and so much more! You can even customize the app colors! 🤯 I love that there are no ads, no subscription, and a developer that is incredibly responsive to adding suggested features. I have tried a ton of book tracking apps and as an avid reader, trust me, this is the app you want to download. For the features and customization alone, it’s beyond worth the download and lifetime time price! It’s hands down one of the best I’ve come across for daily tracking.

**Developer response:** Wow, thank you, this honestly means a lot. Comments like this keep me building. Happy reading! 🐉
