In the past they were quick to reach out. App has missed seizures my daughter has experienced and am hoping for possible advice. Will delete app soon and look elsewhere if no response. ### 4/5 — Amazing app - but issues with health tracking *2025-08-05* I love the heart rate / motion detector trackers shown on my watch - but my watch died before noon each day and my health tracker noted that I had met my move / calorie goal everyday before noon (apparently working off of only my heart rate) even though I work in an office setting and spend my day seated. If these two things could be changed, or if there’s something I can do to revise settings on my side, the app would be perfect. ### 3/5 — Updates Need Work *2025-04-13* Would be fantastic if the watch would sync without needing continuous rebooting of both devices. Seems as though when taking off/charging, synchronization is lost. This also occurs if power cycling. Should just be a re-sync process. The app seems to flip back to phone all of the time. This occurs even if the watch is logging. ### 3/5 — good app, bad at logging medications *2025-04-13, version 1.7.5* no complaints except for the medication logging system. i deleted a medication yet i still get notifications to take it, even though the app still says i have no medications logged. i also can’t edit a medication once i’ve logged it. otherwise, this is perfect for someone with controlled epilepsy! lots of love to the creator, been on a tech support call with him and seems nice and dedicated. ### 4/5 — Several settings *2024-07-20* The app offers several settings that you can set depending on how you need the app setup for your loved one. My issue was that not all of the features were available during my trial period. It also is impressive to me that they are backed by the Epilepsy Foundation. I personally and thankfully don’t have that many seizures to warrant paying that much for the subscription. I wish it wasn’t so pricey. ### 5/5 — Committed to feedback & science *2024-01-03* Every update is made with improvements based on client feedback and/or scientific research. Love that they are using actual studies to build this app. I had an appointment to discuss my questions about the app. I was also able to give feedback that they took notes on happily. They love being able to improve people's experiences. They ask clients to setup these meetings to help improve the app and our experience with it too. So if you havn't met with them and are using the app I highly recommend it. I'm more excited about the app than before my meeting. Seizures cause me havoc to simplify. Having a sidekick (the app) to alert my partner of seizure events will be a game changer. I can be loopy after seizures and need him nearby immediately to help me stay safe and well. **Developer response:** Thanks so much for the rating and review! I know it’s not my watch because the Apple built in functions for these things are working flawlessly. My BPM spikes drastically during focals at night so I really needed that feature along with the regular seizure monitoring. Not sure I’ll purchase after the trial, may try seizalarm instead. Also, there’s been a random counting timer for the last 20 hours. I thought maybe it was a false alarm that started counting or something, but checked the logs and there’s nothing there? Not sure what this is but it’s constantly popping up on my watch and that’s annoying and makes me question the reliability of the app as a whole. **Developer response:** Hi there! I can be at work or running errands and check in if it alerts. This can adjust to my individual needs . I realize that my seizures are slightly different than others , so I can adjust it to my personal setting. It has so far sent me 12 seizure alerts, 7 today alone. My son was at school every time it happened and clearly was not having a seizure. ### 1/5 — ZERO SUPPORT! *2025-09-23, version 1.8.0* I have been trying for 2 months to contact them for support with no luck. I have spoken with the Epilepsy Foundation as well since this is their recommended app. And by the way, I had a seizure while wearing my watch with the app active with no alarm. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-09-15* Don’t waste your money if you have local convulsions. It doesn’t work with arm clenching and rapid shakes. Maybe it works with a full body convulsion, and/or fall, but didn’t work for my son when his hand clenches and arm shakes while sleeping. Didn’t pick up heart rate increase either. Nothing went off, no alert. Good thing he sleeps with us. Still haven’t found a device to help with ESES-CSWS / DEE-SWAS seizures ### 1/5 — Sorry, HR isn’t enough *2025-07-14* My son (7) had a seizure in the morning, no alarm went off. HR alone isn’t enough data to determine an on coming seizure. Additionally, it doesn’t distinguish between ordinary awake activity which may raise the HR from at rest activity where a sudden HR spike might indicate early warning for a potential seizure episode. To add, the types of epilepsy list s very short. My son has ESES/CSWS aka DEE-SWAS, which is seizures only during sleep, a rare for of seizures but these more rare and nuanced types should be accounted for ### 1/5 — Account set doesn’t even work *2025-03-25* Downloaded this app to try monitoring my daughter’s seizures. Add Patient info screen fails to save and the app is nonfunctioning unless I add a family member. I’ve tried to send invites to add family member from the app and nothing works. Zero confidence in an app that costs $250 per year if you can’t even get past the account setup phase. ### 1/5 — Login *2025-03-05, version 1.7.4* How do you login? It’s not giving me a code every time I try to login my email. It says my email is wrong. ### 1/5 — Expensive and doesn’t work *2024-11-25* The title says it all … ### 1/5 — Complicated signup *2024-03-08, version 1.5.5* I had high hopes using this for my 5 year old with epilepsy wearing an iwatch. Unfortunately there is no way to configure this for her without sending her a code that she needs to activate. Requires child to have email address and device other than watch and that’s not practical. Would love to have tried it but the app continues to say no one in the family has epilepsy and as a parent I can’t change my configuration as the one with epilepsy. ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY!! *2024-01-14, version 1.4.8* I’m a doctor and so is my wife- couldn’t make the registration work and didn’t alert. Waste of time and money. Look elsewhere ### 1/5 — Auto bot if trying to cancel *2023-10-19* Don’t bother with scheduling a zoom call if your interested in what the auto bot has to say..it’s nothing. After deciding to cancel got message schedule a zoom call with the developer 15 min will talk about all the new updates. Well…it’s auto generated when you hit cancel and nobody will zoom you or even return your email. Why would I continue to pay someone money for this app to alert my our family members. Not worth it in the end! The developer is just getting rich on my money and everyone else’s. if I could give it less than one star, I would, but one star is all I could give it. **Developer response:** Hi there! We would love to hear any other app related feedback you may have. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I love this app. *2024-09-17* I i haven’t had a seizure in over 5 years and I still use this app 24/7. I like that this app offers so many different features. I appreciate that they don’t just let you add contacts to be alerted if you have a seizure, but it allows you to send out a test alarm to your contacts. I also really like the med reminder. I am really good about taking my meds, but my husband always asks me if I remembered to them. Now I can check them off and he gets the alert that I have taken them. Another feature that is nice that would be helpful to those with little ones or those that are not controlled is that you can give someone access to get into your app. ### 5/5 — Peace of Mind! *2024-08-18* My husband suddenly had two Tonic Clonic seizures where he stopped breathing for a significant amount of time. Needless to say I am now paranoid to leave him alone. I started researching options, there were a few out there but had bad reviews. I came upon this one with much better reviews and endorsed by the Epilepsy Foundation. We did the free trail and wasn’t sure so paid for one month before committing to the full year. Had questions so made an appointment with the developers and had a great conversation with them. Fortunately, he has not had any more seizures but has had 2 false alarms, glad to know it is working! Had to turn down the sensitivity and seems to have helped. I like the latest update so now it is running in the background. I normally keep my phone on do not disturb at night so I saved the number from the text as a favorite and have allowed notifications to bypass the setting to not miss a notification. I occasionally have additional questions and Amir has answered our emails quickly. This is very much appreciated! I have tonic clonics in my sleep and my husband works night shift work and our biggest concern was for me to have one while he’s out working and wouldn’t know until I eventually were to wake up hours later.. So with that being said, when I unfortunately did have an episode in my sleep, it alerted my husband right away and he was able to come right to my side. I have the setting on medium sensitivity for my Apple Watch and it is perfect! Thanks for your review :) ### 5/5 — Epipal *2024-02-18* I appreciated the app. Although I’ve only been using a short time, it does have some benefits like medication reminders, seizure detection, an aura setting for you to jot down after you have a suspected aura. This along with tracking my sleep is helpful. I believe they will also develop a tracker to determine if you have nighttime seizures which would be awesome. This app has been extremely helpful with all of the features like medication reminders and tracking the days I have seizures and the days I don’t. You feature in particular is especially helpful. When I do have a seizure it alerts my best friend that only lives a few miles away. As I am fighting for my kids I’m hoping this is one of the things that keeps them in my custody.
