## What is Epistula?

Epistula is a place for Catholic life online, built for more thoughtful conversations, slower correspondence, and private reflection. It was built around the idea that not everything meaningful needs to happen quickly. Some things are meant to be discussed. Some need time. Some are better written down and kept to yourself.

There are four ways to use Epistula.

ACTA
One question each day, answered by real people. Share a photograph, a passage, or a thought you have been carrying. Read what others wrote before you answer.

FORUM
Longer conversations about faith, doubt, marriage, loneliness, prayer, and the parish you love as much as you struggle with. Threaded, unhurried, and moderated so it stays worth reading.

LETTERS
Once you have met someone here, write to them. Choose how the letter travels: by pigeon, by boat, or on foot. It arrives in days, not seconds, and stays sealed until it does. You can also cast an open letter to the sea under a pen name and let it drift toward strangers who care about the same things you do. Up to three may write back.

JOURNAL
A private page only you can read, protected by end to end encryption. Write freely, follow the daily prompt, keep Clarity Pages each morning, or close the day with an Examen.

WHAT IS FREE AND WHAT IS NOT
Acta and the Forum are free. The community itself is never behind a wall. Epistula Plus opens Letters and the Journal, the parts that belong to you alone.

Epistula Plus costs $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, with a 30 day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

WHO THIS IS FOR
Converts still learning the choreography. Cradle Catholics who feel unknown in their own parish. Anyone who has moved cities and knows exactly one name at Mass.

Epistula means letter.
