### 4/5 — Provided content feedback

*2019-10-29, version 6.7.3*

I provided feedback about an inaccurate answer that was accepted by content manager and added to the program. I was gifted a basic account. It is useful and mostly helpful - still not thrilled with some explanations but it’s nice to have this on my phone.

**Developer response:** Hi, Megan! I looked through our inbox and found your conversation and we indeed should have thanked you more. We are really sorry about that. I will reach out to you now!

### 3/5 — Great for short-term, not great for long-term

*2018-12-03, version 6.7*

The format of the app is great and the quality of the questions are consistent with the associated book. But, half the time the app doesn’t work! Mine always freezes/crashes, and it’s only gotten worse as I’ve gotten through more questions. I frequently have to restart because it won’t let me select an answer or won’t load questions. It’s like the program can’t handle the data that comes with someone actually fully using the app.

### 3/5 — Not enough by itself

*2018-05-12, version 6.5.3*

This alone will not prep someone to pass. The questions are not complex enough. As a supplement it is great for on the go reviewing of the basics. Needs to be made much much harder if it is to be more than a basic review or additional supplement.

**Developer response:** Hi Happease! Thanks for taking the time to review our EPPP app! We agree; 600 practice questions on their own aren't enough to fully prepare someone for this rigorous exam. We're sorry if we somehow lead you to believe otherwise! Our app, in combination with ASPPB's recommended study resources, is an excellent way to prepare for the exam. We will continue to add challenging practice questions to the app so we appreciate your feedback and support!

### 5/5 — Great study aid

*2018-03-03, version 6.5.1*

Good systematic practice for an all encompassing exam.

### 5/5 — Awesome system!

*2017-11-04, version 6.3.2*

I want to give a shout out to the people who made this app possible! It contains extremely helpful exam-like questions as well as thorough explanations of the subject content. I am feeling more and more prepared each day!

Thank you Pocket Prep!

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2017-09-30, version 6.3.2*

A lot of the questions come from 2013. While the content is the same, the way the information is presented could be different than they types of questions on the most recent editions of the EPPP. I enjoy using it while I'm on the go and the stats do help with getting a general feel for where you are on the content.

### 5/5 — Great for on the go studying!

*2017-09-24, version 6.3.2*

This app is worth the purchase for those of us who like the opportunity to fit a little study time into our busy days! I like that explanations, though some quite brief, are provided for each question.

### 4/5 — Love it

*2017-08-22, version 6.3.2*

I haven't taken the EPPP yet to know how similar these questions are to the actual exams so I'm not sure how effective they would be on their own. I use them as a supplement to another question bank I have and love it because it lets me get some study time in, in between breaks in the day or on a commute. The questions are pretty fair and the explanations are short and sweet. I actually wish the explanations were a little more detailed and the bank had more than just 500
questions because I got through them and zeroed out of them pretty quickly.

### 5/5 — Good for review questions when not home

*2017-08-12, version 6.3.2*

I like this app it gives you the flexibility to quiz yourself everywhere. I use it during my commute on the train :)

### 4/5 — So far, so good.

*2017-06-28, version 6.3*

Simple way to be productive during down time.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2017-05-18, version 6.3*

App has excellent content validity and is very user friendly. I love the question of the day, and the large number of quick 10- question tests.

Suggested improvements:
1: send question of the day reminders
2: questions tend to be slightly easier and are often slightly less complex than questions on the aatbs website; increasing difficulty and complexity may be helpful.

### 4/5 — Great tool.

*2017-05-16, version 6.3*

Simple way of identifying my strengths and weaknesses and making a few moments into something really productive. This helps keep me off Facebook, which is worth it in itself. I knocked off a star because an update reset my stats.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nothing close to the real exam and many repeat questions

*2020-03-15, version 6.7.6*

Was scoring 90% on the app quizzes (along with practice with AATBS) and failed the real test. I’m hoping to get a refund since the test offers a “money back guarantee” so we’ll see about that. The app questions don’t prepare you at all for the real exam - the real test is MUCH harder. The app also advertises 600 question test bank but each of the 100 question tests I took had a ton of repeat questions. This app is a complete waste of time and money.

**Developer response:** Hi there! We regret to hear you didn't like the app. For Pass Guarantee refund, just send us a message in the Message Center.

### 1/5 — Questions Not Valid - Poor App

*2019-12-07, version 6.7.6*

The questions are extremely easy compared to the actual questions that are on the exam and compared to questions from other practice test services. It’s not worth studying from these questions.

Also the app shows you repeat questions so when you creat an exam for yourself, even if you’ve just purchased and have a ton of unseen questions, it shows you the same questions over and over. Very frustrating.

Save your money and apply it to other study resources!

### 1/5 — Bought and can’t access now no help

*2019-11-16, version 6.7.6*

I bought this over 1 yr ago and have been using it no problem. When the app transferred to my new phone, it asked for email/sign in details I did not need to establish when I bought it. When I tried to ask for tech support, the text for the tech support messages doesn’t even show up! Cushy tech job they must have with few complaints they can’t see! Don’t buy—total rip off and shady af.

### 1/5 — Sub par

*2019-09-08, version 6.7.3*

This program is not very effective in that the questions are VERY simplistic. You don’t have to be a psychologist to answer them because you can easily weed out the made up terms and irrelevant answers. That is NOT at all the structure of the actual EPPP questions. Furthermore, the explanations look good but lack very important details and often simply reiterate the correct answer without explaining why it is the correct answer and addressing the other options. I used PsychPrep to prepare for the EPPP and they actually have tests that are predictive of passing. Meaning they were similar in structure, contract, and format to the real EPPP questions. Don’t waste your time on this app and invest in something that will actually help you pass.

### 1/5 — Not representative

*2019-08-22, version 6.7.3*

I used this app for about a year as I was preparing for exam. Did not focus on what was asked on exam. Major waste of time.

### 1/5 — Need a refund

*2019-04-26, version 6.7*

I paid for app, used the app, and suddenly it will not let me access premium without re-purchase. This app is too expensive for this nonsense.

### 1/5 — Crashes Incessantly So you cant access questions

*2018-05-23, version 6.5.3*

The app worked well when I first downloaded it. It’s composed of maybe 600 practice questions. Now that my EPPP is tomorrow , I returned to it to review questions and every time I sign in, it just crashes. I was hopeful that it would work but then after I got through ten questions , it crashed again. I would not recommend this app. It wasted a lot of my time trying to get this to work and now I’ve given up.

### 1/5 — Too easy, not realistic

*2015-10-24, version 5.3*

Do not rely on this app....the questions are limited and way too easy

### 2/5 — So-So

*2016-06-20, version 5.3*

The questions seem too easy...and the explanations do not provide rationale they just restate the answer. There are a lot of mistakes with the spelling that have at times cause you to provide a faulty answer. Good if your standing in line and need to study; but not a primary source in which to study for the exam.

### 3/5 — Okay-ish

*2019-10-30, version 6.7.3*

Pocket Prep is overall okay but it does not have 600 separate questions (many questions are repeated) and does not cover I/O psychology which accounts for a significant number of questions on the EPPP . It is useful for other sections, and as the makers of the app have said, is not intended to be used without other study materials.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We greatly appreciate your taking the time to leave us valuable feedback.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A study partner in my pocket.

*2019-11-08, version 6.7.6*

As many others do, I passed using a combination of books and an online website. Adding pocket prep was extremely helpful. The app is easy to use and helps you build custom exams so you can drill one domain at a time. Thank you Pocket Prep!

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad to hear you like the app! We wish you the best!

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2019-11-02, version 6.7.6*

I loved using this app to test myself while on-the-go and for sitting to take practice tests. It explained the correct/incorrect answers and helped me to focus on the topics where I struggled so I could make more efficient use of my time! I used it alongside my formal study program. Passed on the first try!

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave us a kind review! And congrats on passing your exam on the first try! We would love to get in touch with you to hear more about your experience for a larger testimonial. If interested, send us a message. In the app, tap Settings, Help and Message Center, then the green icon to drop us a message. -April :)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2019-06-12, version 6.7.3*

I use Pocket Prep for daily practice while on the Amtrak.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2019-03-17, version 6.7*

This is very insightful for me as l study for the EPPP. I find this very helpful with questions that are structured to help me think and analyze well enough to do well on the exam.

### 5/5 — Relearning

*2019-02-05, version 6.7*

This app has been great to assess and evaluate my knowledge retention and needs to pass the EPPP after a brain injury.

### 5/5 — A.M.

*2018-10-24, version 6.5.6*

Great app.
Love that the questions are very different to my study materials which assured that I am looking at a wider range of questions.

### 5/5 — Like it

*2018-09-13, version 6.5.6*

Like it a lot, just hope it helps me pass exam. Only time will tell :)

### 5/5 — I passed!!

*2018-08-23, version 6.5.4*

I passed on the first try with a comfortable margin. This was a great app to let me quiz myself on the go. I used other resources as well, but this app was definitely the most bang for my buck. The exam readiness feature helped me know which subject areas I needed to invest more study time in.

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-05-31, version 6.5.3*

Good resource

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2018-04-16, version 6.5.1*

Pocket Prep is excellent. It provides relevant questions with explanations that tell why and why not it is a correct answer. The format is clean and unlike other practice sites, spelling, grammar and sentence structure is intact, so that I’m not distracted by trying to figure out what the question is. Questions are not cut off as it is in competitor’s products, due to formatting issues. Questions are designed to be challenging, and are framed to expand cognitive flexibility. All in all, feels professional, well thought out by a company that cares. Michele Roush
