While it’s a good app overall, I will say that there are some issues that you have to troubleshoot yourself and when you download things you need to do it through their browser. Over the past 6 months the app has started to play up and stop working to the point that now I cannot use it at all. It just keeps crashing on both my iPhone and iPad. I’ve tried to contact the developers but their site cannot be reached according to the internet. There are apparently security issues with this app that mean google won’t allow it to connect to drive. Since this app hasn’t been updated in five years I doubt this is ever gonna be fixed which is disappointing since Dropbox only has a fraction of the storage space that drive offers. ### 4/5 — Awesome, slight issues. *2022-05-01, version 5.1.55* Hasn’t been updated in years. Using Look Up on iOS to search the definition of a word mid text causing the app to freeze. For instance, it’s impossible to look words up and continue reading a book. Besides crashing, there’s no way to highlight parts of the text. I am pro customer and tried to contact support through email regarding this issue but I got the delivery fail message. This is the pro version as well! Thought it would be the answer to downloading documents off the internet because the browser works well, not not much good when you go to read them and it shuts down first click! ### 4/5 — Great Reader, Needs Scrolling Feature *2021-11-06, version 5.1.55* I purchased this app to eliminate slightly annoying ads totally worth it if you plan to frequently use this app. Ive used this app to read lots and lots (over 100) of epubs. I upload from Dropbox into this reader; there are other ways to upload content also (once you get to the home menu and settings). Has excellent options that can be used to create a “dark mode” in addition to files native color scheme. Would be “perfect” in my book if it also supported vertical scrolling (in addition to flipping pages) within chapters. Really annoying when I’m listening to books to hear “right double quotation mark” and “left double quotation mark” over and over. Pas de choix de langue ### 1/5 — ur epubreader cant load No Longer Human *2025-05-26, version 5.1.55* oddly specific bug but this reader is incapable of loading osamu dazai's no longer human. i have several dozen books in my library, been using for years, this is the only book that wont load. the same epub files work perfectly on every other epub reader. its only this one. mind boggling ### 1/5 — Now doesn’t work at all. (Previously One fatal flaw) *2025-02-18, version 5.1.55* This app is now unusable (also in the pro version). If you download a new file it seems to place it in some temp storage and does not save it, so it don’t be there next time you look. The books I downloaded a few years back are still there but I can’t add any more. Plus they have not corrected the problem I mentioned in my previous review - [ This would be a great app except that it reads the second of any pair of formatted double quotation marks in text! I really hope they can fix this as it makes books with dialogue unusable with text to speech. I was using another e-reader that suddenly started doing pop up ads after each chapter and most free ones do a thin line of moving ads at the bottom which is super distracting.
