## What is EQ Ear?

Most producers learn to see a mix before they can hear one. EQ Ear works the
other way round.

Every question is audio first. You hear a loop, you make a call, and you find
out exactly how close you were — in hertz and decibels.

FIVE WAYS TO LISTEN

EQ — Move four faders until your curve locks onto the track. Bass, low-mid,
high-mid, treble.

Compare — Two mixes, one band moved. The sliders are locked, so you diagnose by
ear alone: which band, and was it boosted or cut?

Pinpoint — Forget four broad bands. Name the exact frequency, from 125 Hz to
8 kHz, on a logarithmic scale that shows you where each one really sits.

Tempo — Drum loops from 60 to 200 BPM. Tap along, read your pulse, lock your
internal clock before you open the DAW.

Recall — Hear a take. Five seconds of silence. Hear it again. Did the tone
change, or is your memory filling in the gaps?

A PATH, NOT A QUIZ

900+ questions across nine categories of music. Every lesson mixes three of the
five modes, so you never settle into one kind of listening.

Start with First Training — four bands, no genre, nothing to memorise. Then move
into vocals, guitar, piano, pop, electronic, rock, classical, jazz and hip-hop.
Each one carries its own frequency problems: sibilance in a vocal, mud in a
guitar, sub weight in an 808.

SEE EXACTLY WHAT YOU MISSED

Getting it wrong is the lesson. After every round you see your curve drawn
against the track, band by band, with the hertz and decibels you were off by.
Then you can play the loop again with the correct EQ applied and hear the
difference you could not hear a minute ago.

Retrying a lesson is always free. Take a level as many times as you need.

SURVIVAL MODE

When you want to stop studying and start competing: all five modes, every
category, endless. Speed feeds your score, one miss ends the run, and your best
resets every week.

BUILT FOR EARS THAT WORK

Four bands mapped to real ranges — 20-250 Hz, 250-500 Hz, 500 Hz-4 kHz,
4-20 kHz — colour-coded everywhere in the app so the map stays in your head.
Clean filters, seamless A/B switching with no click, and loops that keep running
while you decide.

Practice mode lets you pull any single mode out of the lessons you have finished
and drill it on its own. Weak on tempo? Run tempo only.

Streaks, XP and ranks track the long game, from Tin Ear upward.

WHO IT IS FOR

Producers and mixing engineers who want faster decisions. Musicians who want to
hear what an engineer hears. Anyone who has stared at an EQ curve wondering
whether they are fixing the sound or just moving it.

No theory. No notation. No prior training.

PASSES AND PLUS

Passes open new lessons. You start with ten and get more every day, so you can
work through the app for free at a steady pace. EQ Ear Plus removes the limit:
every category, every lesson, unlimited Survival runs, no waiting.

The full tutorial is free and always will be.

Headphones or monitors strongly recommended. Phone speakers cannot reproduce the
low end, and the low end is half the training.
