The sound quality is very good indeed. However, the random shuffle only concentrates on ten or so recent choices, as opposed to hundreds of other options, and I can’t seem to get it to stay within Playlists if that is what is intended. If I could fix these problems, I would happily revise my review.

I have a lot of high frequency hearing loss. This is a godsend. The player on the iPhone has garbage eq options. 
The interface is difficult and took a while to get things right.

I really enjoyed this app, however now it does not pull over all of the songs in my playlist Library and some of the songs it does pull over won’t play.  The only way I get all of the songs I have to turn on Cloud mode, but then it doesn't crossfade. To pay a yearly subscription for something that doesn’t work like it use to is disappointing.

I’m not impressed at all with this app.  The equalizer don’t sound good at all and other adjustments are not worth trying. Also hard to get around in it and load music. I’ll be canceling now.

I don't use streaming as I don't get a solid enough cell signal in my car for it to work reliably. And music is very important to me. 

I still upload music from my PC onto my phone using Apple Music (the non-streaming part) and this app just plays it from my local music library.

Its equalizer settings are also incredibly important as the Apple Music app doesn't allow for any variable sound settings (i.e. an equalizer). It also is completely compatible with Apple CarPlay!

Only issue I've had is I can't get it save some settings. It saves the equalizer settings ok, but I can't get it to remember the Loudness Leveling toggle. If I close and restart the app it always switches it off.

First thing this app does after downloading is display a subscription screen. You can do nothing else until you subscribe. Does offer a three-day 'free' trial, but like always you have to enter all your credit card info first and then cancel before the three days are up. Program might be worth it, but it should state up front that's it's a paid app.

So I got an email telling me that the app is now free. Yeah, the app itself is now free, but it comes with no equalizer or bass booster, those cost extra. Still not interested.. 

********** UPDATE 2/20/23 Ok, so now the app really is free, including the equalizer and bass booster functions. It doesn't seem to be an add-on to Music Player X, just a separate independent player. A little confusing, but it works.

The app costs $15 per year to use after a free three-day trial. I think it's worth it. All I wanted was a multi-band equalizer for Apple Music and CarPlay, and this is the closest I've found. The controls are straight-forward and easy to use, the equalizer is just a button away from its main screen and can save three presets, and most importantly, IT SUPPORTS APPLE CARPLAY!! You can actually add the app to your CarPlay screen!

At first it was difficult to understand why it had all these problems and why they had to be fixed so afterwards we could not find the solution to transfer a playlists from their original platform to give us instructions on how to transfer things from theirsS to our IPHONE system but it is very good!!!!.,
