### 4/5 — Bluetooth issues / one answer

*2023-12-16*

I continued to investigate the Bluetooth connection issues. I continued to ask why some users have issues and others don’t. I think the app must use the same path as connected sports watches, e.g., Apple, Garmin Forerunner. I have found that if I turn off the watch’s BT connection, reboot the phone/iPad, and then establish a connection to the monitor, after a few attempts, it works. It is not a guaranteed first time success. But it should happen in 5 attempts vs. 50.

I would recommend not having any other BT connections when you want to upload from the monitor. The app is still weak in this area, but I can get there relatively methodically.

### 4/5 — Just started using app

*2023-12-07*

It’s easy to use but I would like to see an update where erroneous data can be deleted from the phone; it’s easy enough to delete from the machine but not the same data from the phone app.

### 3/5 — Frustrated

*2023-06-03*

It is very frustrating that my results will not show up on the device and it keeps telling me to put data in manually, I really wish the developers would do something about this. Going to try to use some of the suggestions that people are offering on here, but this issue really needs to be corrected.

### 3/5 — Sync and notes problems

*2023-01-13, version 1.9.7*

This app will not sync with my iPhone and you can not see the notes while you type or go back and read them after as well.

### 4/5 — Replacement monitor

*2022-03-03, version 1.5*

My old monitor display had failed and I replaced it with this. Superior readability and nice voice prompts. I could connect the Bluetooth to the iPad 6, but not the iPhone 11 on iOS 15.3.1. Restart of the iPhone triggered a Bluetooth connection request which allowed connection and sync with either the iPad or iPhone.

### 4/5 — Bluetooth not consistent

*2021-08-23, version 1.4*

The app works well but the blutooth errors out 9 out of 10 times. I have to update manually.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t Open

*2021-06-05, version 1.4*

If the app would open it like it should it would be a decent app. 95% of the time time the app will start to open and crash. Not just once but over and over and over.

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2021-06-01, version 1.4*

Keeping track of my blood pressure just st became easy. Me and my doctor can keep track of how I’m doing. It’s easy to see what is going on with the averages. Love it and so easy .

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2021-05-15, version 1.4*

This app pretends to let people set up two profiles. The printed manual doesn’t explain how. The website with the FAQ doesn’t explain how. I’ve found nothing on any of the app screens that lets me add a second user. I set up my wife as User 1 but I have no idea how to add myself as User 2.

### 3/5 — Crashing when syncing

*2021-05-14, version 1.4*

It’s fine when it works. But it is frustrating. When my monitor tries to sync with my iPhone, the app crashes and the monitor gives me an error. It tells me to sync manually, but I can’t because it keeps crashing.

### 5/5 — BiTel Heart Monitor

*2021-05-08, version 1.4*

Very easy to use, blue tooth is very nice too. Now lets find a way to charge without having to remove...patches lasted 5 days easily without coming loose even with taking showers....!

### 4/5 — Good but not perfect

*2021-04-21, version 1.3*

Leaving off a star as this doesn’t not sync every time and not available on Apple watch.
The app is very simple no bells or whistles here. Should be easy enough for technically challenged older users.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Words can’t describe how bad this app is

*2023-01-11, version 1.9.7*

There is no way to clear out a user and start over. Their instructions don’t address my problem, and when I search for an answer, it takes me to their store where they try to sell me more of their merchandise. I just want to clear all memory and start anew, but I can’t. They won’t allow that! So my readings are mixed up with my wife’s readings.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth doesn’t work

*2022-02-09, version 1.5*

I spent about $30 extra on this unit just because it had Bluetooth and was supposed to link up with my iPhone. It did it exactly once and it changed the date appropriately .Since then, I get a communication error every single time. I returned my unit and got a new one, same problem. Except now it could be because it’s synced with the old one and there’s no way to cancel that and re-sync with the new one. No way to delete the app courtesy of Apple. So that’s more on Apple then on this. I’m going to have to return it and buy the cheaper one because this is pointless. I will be going back to Samsung on my next phone purchased too.

### 1/5 — Can’t get it to work reliably

*2021-11-14, version 1.4*

I’ve tried to make this work for days with no success. I’m taking the monitor back to Walmart for a refund. The app says it can’t find the device at the same time it successfully sets the time. I’ve removed the power, restarted the iphone, restarted the app but nothing works. It would be cheaper, faster, and less trouble to buy a basic unit and write the readings by hand. But that’s not why I paid extra for the deluxe unit. Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Never connects first 7 times maybe 10th try

*2021-09-28, version 1.4*

BIGGEST PROBLEM is Bluetooth never or rarely connects app always shuts off as soon as it starts syncing or doesn’t even start at all. ALSO Syncing to Apple health loads it all as one day instead of them being spread out like it is saved. No way to delete reads accidentally made by other user.

### 1/5 — Constant errors & missed recording

*2021-03-10, version 1.3*

The Equate BP monitor errors out about half the time so I must run the test 2 or 3 times before it reads. Then when I hit record on the app the recording doesn’t show on the chart and it can’t be recovered.

Don’t buy an equate monitor. Get a name brand like Omron. This is a piece of junk.

### 1/5 — Worked great until the my last iPhone update

*2021-01-20, version 1.2*

I’ve been using this to track my BP for over a year. Never had any issues until the last update I did.

When the Blood Pressure machine tries to sync to the Phone/App the App crashes.

I have to retry 10-20 times for it to sync. Very frustrating as it worked just fine before.

### 2/5 — Sync with homekit uses wrong time

*2022-10-10, version 1.9.7*

When I use this app to sync with Apple Health the sync time is used instead of the measurement time. For example, if I record measurements for three days, and then sync all the measurements on the third day, the Apple Health app shows the all the measurements occurred on the third day. This app shows the actual times the measurements were taken, not the sync time. Please fix, I would love this app otherwise.

### 2/5 — Loses Bluetooth connectivity frequently…

*2022-07-25, version 1.9.7*

Every time my iPhone iOS updates my Equate 8000 Series BP monitor loses Bluetooth connectivity to the Equate Heart Health app. I try everything to get it to connect again and the only thing that works is to remove the batteries and have to reprogram the date/time, etc as if starting from fresh. This is very frustrating as I lose some of my readings and my average is not accurate because of the lost readings that won’t go over to the app from the monitor. I know that cell phones OS are updated frequently and this has to be a bug in the Equate Heart Health app since it only loses Bluetooth connectivity when my iOS is updated. Other than the Bluetooth glitch, the monitor works very well and is very accurate (have checked iit with my cardiologist’s readings). Too bad my rating is much lower due to this glitch.

### 2/5 — Error syncing

*2021-10-19, version 1.4*

I have to rate 2 stars because this app regularly gives an error syncing for no reason. The app crashes a lot too. I have to close and go back in several times or restart my phone. My phone is updated to the latest software and so is the app. Now recently, after this stupid app not syncing I tried to enter reading manually but It will not let me at all. I enter the date and time but when I click confirm it doesn’t do anything. So annoyed with this app.

### 2/5 — Rarely syncs

*2021-09-25, version 1.4*

The app crashes more times than it works. In the 2 months I’ve had it, I can count on one hand the number of times it’s actually synced to my phone (iPhone 12 pro max). When it has synced it was nice, which is why I gave it 2 stars, but don’t count on it. I’d manually input it, but then it creates duplicate logs that you can’t remove in the off chance that it does sync.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — At home BP monitoring

*2023-11-20*

I bought this because I am a nurse and I recently had 2 doctor appointments and both times my BP was high. I want to monitor my BP at home to see if it was just a fluke or it is really high, so far I have been able to use this product by myself and I love that it records to my phone through Bluetooth so I can share with my doctor next time I go! It is very user friendly as well!

### 5/5 — Best BP APP

*2023-10-14*

I bought the Equate blood pressure monitor due to my blood pressure going critical and my Doctor wanting me to take it every day. I have been going to him and cardiologist every two weeks for two months. They like this app also because I can show them exactly what my readings are because it is so easy to sync with phone. It gives me a report and is very thorough. So glad I bought it!

### 5/5 — Poorly Integrated with Apple Health

*2023-08-15*

I bought this BPM because it integrated with Apple Health. It does not do this correctly.

The primary and secondary users of the device shouldn’t both be synced to Apple Health. Why would two independent users ever want to have their data merged in the Heath app?

All records improperly use the time that it was added to Apple Health as the time that the sample was recorded. This means that in order for the Health app to contain accurate data the recordings need to be synced immediately.

Further, the app often has difficulty syncing with the device.

### 5/5 — Machine works great

*2023-02-12, version 1.9.7*

This machine works great but I find the standards that this machine is uses to be inaccurate every pressure reading even good ones are above national standards even my doctor agrees other than that it works great.

### 5/5 — Monitoring

*2022-09-18, version 1.9.7*

Trying to keep an eye on my blood pressure and I’m loving this blood pressure monitoring system. Easy to use and I can keep track on my phone.

### 5/5 — Happy

*2022-09-08, version 1.9.7*

I’m very happy with how accurate this device seems to be.

### 5/5 — Finally

*2022-08-31, version 1.9.7*

I bought this specifically so it would hook up to my Wi-Fi and keep track of my blood pressure. However it did not at first and took forever to hook up. ???
But now that it has ,it’s really really cool

### 5/5 — Best BP APP

*2022-04-28, version 1.9.6*

I bought the Equate blood pressure monitor due to my blood pressure going critical and my
Doctor wanting me to take it every day. I have been going to him and cardiologist every two weeks for two months. They like this app also because I can show them exactly what my readings are because it is so easy to sync with phone. It gives me a report and is very thorough. So glad I bought it!

### 5/5 — Ease of use

*2022-04-20, version 1.9.6*

Automatically update via Bluetooth easy to use

### 5/5 — B/P monitor

*2022-03-02, version 1.5*

I like all the features this device offers and it’s easy to use
