What I mean by that is when I’m on the mobile app, sometimes the conditions of the race are so long that it continues with “…” and the speed figure isn’t available to see. That’s on some races. And a few other bugs that are annoying. Needs to be updated. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2024-02-01, version 2.5.4* Very buggy, loads wrong horses, cant skip to next race using arrow even after supposed fix. ### 2/5 — Constantly refuses to load! *2022-08-06* I’d love to rate this higher as the info it provides is just what I’m looking for but in the past month, despite updates and deleting and redownlods, it constantly refuses to load when I want to open it. That should be all we need to troubleshoot. ### 2/5 — Frozen! *2022-01-22, version 2.3.5* The data is great data but the Ap constantly crashes! They need to hire some Ap talent! ### 2/5 — Another case of App developers trying to. validate their jobs *2020-11-12* Equibase was the go to app for quick easy access to racing info. The developers took an easy. quick reference platform and made it complicated and difficult to maneuver through it for the quick info you want. It is another case of App developers trying to validate their jobs by ‘improving’ an App that did not need improving. An example is the Bet Calculator that does not readily respond to the incessant tapping you must do to enter horse numbers. The App developers should have allowed its users to chose the App format it users want to use. The users impressed with the new format could use it, while the users who want the old format could use it. When I requested the old format I was dismissed with ‘It no longer exists’. I took a 5 Star app and now rate it 2 Stars On the plus side, Equibase is still the go to app for racing info, albeit more complicated to navigate Also on the plus side, the App developers warned its users not to download the new version, because they realized from the complaints it was no longer user friendly On the Big Negative side, it’s faithful users of Years and Years, should have been given the choice as to which App version was on their phones **Developer response:** Unfortunately, leaving the app as-is or allowing continued access to the old application wasn't an option for us. There are standards that every iOS app needs to meet in order to remain in the iTunes store. Apple does this to ensure that all apps are kept up to date and will be fully functional when new phones and OS updates are released. The old Equibase app, formerly called the Today's Racing app, had several components that were no longer supported by Apple. To meet the current standards, significant changes needed to be made to the app's core infrastructure. Basically, we needed to do a complete app overhaul if we wanted the app to remain available to new users. We can look specifically at your issues and hopefully offer some tricks to improve your overall experience. ### 4/5 — Good App *2020-08-21* Review has been revised. - You can’t read the font. They made it SMALL and LIGHT! - They changed the navigation. HORRIBLE! You can’t read anything. It’s hard to navigate and use. This app is literally useless. If you can’t read anything, you can’t use the app. Please change it back, or address and fix the font and navigation. Thank you. *** I don’t know where the good reviews are coming from? Most of the font is so small and light, you can’t read it ***** Response to developer response. Thank you for your response. I will email with navigation issues. - 1 quick navigation issue. When choosing entries from the menu...If it’s Monday and I want Friday’s entires, I have to scroll all the way to Friday. Previously, I would just click on Friday. To me, technology wise, it’s backwards and less efficient. I think everyone would rather click on a day/date, rather than scroll through entries for Tue, Wed & Thu, just to get to Friday’s entries. Thanks ### 1/5 — DO NOT UPDATE *2020-08-09* I’ve used the Equibase app virtually every day for the last 10 years and have loved it, but this new version gets a thumbs down from me 👎🏻. The old version was much easier to navigate and quickly get to the info you were seeking, this new version is not nearly as efficient. If you have specific feedback regarding the navigation, please reach out to feedback@equibase.com so that we can include your thoughts in our development process. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Trash *2025-08-15, version 2.8.1* Horrendous for using the Virtual Stable mail feature through the app. They just copy & pasted the desktop url, but made sure to infest it with ad pop-ups to make to where it’s completely unusable ### 1/5 — White Screen *2024-04-11, version 2.5.6* Mine is still showing a white screen, weeks after they say they fixed it. Tried reloading it. No success. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore *2024-04-01* It used to work great. Now it opens fine, but when I click entries or results or anything, the whole screen goes white and I have to reopen the app. But it does the same thing every time and I can never see anything. Gear(s) will spin endlessly. It’s been going on intermittently for months. Simply a horrible app with few other options. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2022-05-19* If I could give this App 0 or negative stars I would. If it loads at all, it’s 5 races behind in results. Utter crap! Update: The app is only displaying two results at Churchill Downs and the seventh race is about to go off!! No stars for this crap app! DRF puts it to shame and every horse player should delete this piece of crap. Ok, so you want more detail? How about this? The first race at Horseshoe Indianapolis went off an hour ago and there is still no result posted on your app. **Developer response:** As we have requested previously, please email us at feedback@equibase.com so that we can better assist you. With emails, we can respond in nearly real time and review the app at the time you are experiencing delays. Our app uses the exact same infrastructure the powers equibase.com for entries and results. This means that the data should be made available to the app at the same time as our website. If there are delays that are only affecting the app, we would like to explore that in more detail. I liked the old app! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Equibase *2025-03-18* I like this app but I don’t like it when post come up because I need to push the x button ### 5/5 — That little handicapper is pretty accurate! *2023-04-27* Naturally, it varies from track to track, but that Easy handicapper is one of the TOP THREE IN THE WORLD that I have found at no cost! And I have looked on six of the seven continents. (no tracks in Antartica, yet). You have the needed option to emphasize Trainer, jockey or pedigree in your handicapping. With maiden races give it a double dose of pedigree and trainer. That helps. With quarter horses, the jockey getting the horse rolling NOW is critical, so I add some jockey emphasis. Some tracks have stand out trainers, so you turn that option up when in that situation. A word of advice…this is a free app, so the fact it does well with winners is astounding! Double check third and fourth picks for your trifecta and supers. Hardly an issue at no cost. ### 5/5 — Looks like the full site *2023-02-08* This works fine on my Ipad.
