I mean I guess it kind of messes up the story line a bit with all those cut scenes and what not but still. you don’t need to change that part although I personally think it would make the game a whole lot more fun. Just PLEASE make it so you don’t have to wait 99 days to delete a character!!! I will most definitely change my rating to a 5star if you just git rid of the 99 day wait ### 3/5 — iOS only *2022-05-14, version 10.0* I haven’t enjoyed a mobile device game as much as EOL, the only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 was because I’ve only been able to install it on my iPhone and since I have a MacBook Air I just screen mirror to my laptop but I haven’t been able to install it on my Samsung Galaxy tablet so I could have a larger screen without having to use my laptop. I tried every suggestion I could find on the internet, EOL Facebook page and their website without luck. That’s my only complaint with this game. I played WoW for many years but stopped because of the monthly cost. This game reminds me of WoW in a lot of ways and since it’s free to play that makes it better. If I am finally able to get EOL installed on my tablet then I will gladly change my review to 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Surprisingly good *2020-09-06, version 7.0.2* I haven’t been playing for too long but I think I can still review this game. To start with, it has a almost lighthearted nostalgic feeling which I really liked and thought was different from some rpg/mmorpg games I’ve played in the past. I cannot hold the game to PC standards because it is a mobile game but I will say that the cutscenes like when you get your first mount are stunning. The in-game graphics aren’t the best but maybe that’s because I’m more used to pc playing. I think it definitely has a age range that it’s more geared to. The in-game controls/theme are simple and easy to pick up/understand but also have a complexity to them that makes it not dumbed down. I love some of the things they added like mounts. The one thing that I was disappointed they didn’t have was a character modification set up. I think that that makes every game just a little bit better. The types of characters you can pick are great though I just wish I could make my archer not have pink skin. Maybe you can later on in the game I’m not sure so correct me if I’m wrong. In short, the game is great and worth a try. ### 4/5 — I feel like this is definitely oac1 inspired which is good and bad *2020-04-22, version 6.0.0* Oac1 was definitely the best mmo ever out on mobile it had its issues and gameloft killed the game with their p2w system hope y’all don’t make the same mistakes best way i see yall making money is a exhaust system for dungeons and for pvp points and just sell tabs that reset these systems only thing i ever bought in oac where the tabs make good choices guys btw the camera zoom really annoys me I’ll be trying to turn my screen and zoom all the way in and be all over the place ### 4/5 — Great game *2020-03-15, version 6.0.0* Great game so far, the story is pretty good . I love the graphic style and I am loving my shaman character so far . The only reason right now I gave it 4 stars cause for some reason I have been playing perfectly for the last couple of days , but all of a sudden right now the game is telling me to agree to terms of agreement in order to play more . But when I go to click on the terms it just takes me to a part of the site that is non English and it doesn’t let me sign or accept anything , and now cause of that I can’t play the game ... I don’t want to delete the game cause of this . But if it’s not letting play ...what else can I do 🤷🏽‍♂️ ### 5/5 — Very Impressed *2020-02-04, version 5.0.0* I’ve only been playing for 4 days but I’m very impressed with this game. I’ve tried every MMORPG on mobile and something about them always made them miss the mark. Order and Chaos and it’s sequel were both great too, but they relied too much on play-to-win. This game isn’t too heavily influenced by that and the gameplay is pretty good. My only complaint would be that sometimes you’re not able to do the next occasionally after completing one, because you’re one or two levels too low for it. But that’s also an issue I had with O&C2. I’d rank this as my top pick for mobile MMORPGs, even over Black Desert Mobile. We will do our best to improve the game further. ### 5/5 — 5 star game 1 star support *2019-12-20, version 5.0.0* Not super pay to win. Technically it is but it’s enjoyable as a f2p. I’ve spent 30$ and only 20$ usefully and I’m top 30 on my server. Skill can make you beat people far more powerful which is GREAT. I win mvps in pvp. Can definitely see that changing and game becoming more pay to win. Your rewards from dailies as you level don’t go up but the costs to upgrade do. On server 10 and worst come to worst you can pay 5$ every monthish or so and be a competitive player in pve. Like I said though I’m sure it will be different when we reach lvl 60. On this game theirs a XP limit but it’s still fun so highest level on my server is 48 rn. 1 star because a lot of people can’t get loot in dungeons and they don’t address it. They have a Facebook and a site yet the issue isn’t brought up and I know it’s effecting a lot of players. Missing out on rewards I won’t be able to make up for. Utter BS. Makes me want to rage quit. If you like to tank which is all i do or like wow this is for you. Don’t comment referring me to a site do me a favor and say their either is or isn’t a fix instead of leaving us in the dark. We hope you change your opinion about Era of Legends one day. ### 5/5 — Best mobile MMORPG Yet *2019-10-22, version 4.0.0* I am a seasoned gamer as well as a veteran MMORPG raider/guild leader and have finally found the mobile game that I can call home. Find me on Server 2 , name RichardCheney and come have phun! The game is basically World of Warcraft for mobile (this is not a Blizzard game ) . Sure, there are p2w aspects but what mobile ( or any) Game doesn’t have that feature now? A small issue would be player base numbers but this game is very new and it has so much potential! Don’t let the auto quests at the beginning fool you, this is not an auto quest afk game! With their new faction update, it feels like an expansion pack was added to it. No, I’m not a dev, just wish I was ;p ### 3/5 — Great if you can find a group. *2019-09-02, version 3.0.0* Graphics and gameplay are sophisticated enough to make you forget you’re playing on mobile. WoW like gameplay on the go. The only downfall is that it can be difficult to find a group for PvE and PvP. Not sure if there’s too many servers maybe? Doesn’t help that during server selection you’re given no information other than name to choose from. Hard to recommend a game you just wait in queue to try to play. Too bad because this is a game you could spend a lot of time in if you could only spend it actually playing the game. ### 5/5 — Era of Legends *2019-08-24, version 3.0.0* To Whom it may concern, This game is by far what I’ve been waiting for. I’ve been highly disappointed in companies like Blizzard for not being proactive and making WOW for Mobile. It’s companies like you guys that have made this a possible experience. Thank you for creating a game this game is actually really good I thought I was going to be disappointed but I’m not I’m highly impressed. If you love World of Warcraft you will love Era of Legends for mobile well designed and it’s smooth. Honestly this is a must try for all Warcraft veterans. I am very motivated. I was hesitant at first when I saw Era Of Legends and world of Kings but I downloaded both of them. Check this game out ! ### 3/5 — Ok, honesty incoming. *2019-08-02, version 3.0.0* This game is horribly fun and is basically WOW in a mobile nutshell. I would literally delete most MMOs on my phone to strictly play this. Okay with that being said, the lag + the connection issues (iPhone 7 something) makes it unbearable and for the most part unplayable. My internet connection is not bad at all, but I did suffice with going through the basic connection troubleshooting if you will (reset modem, close apps, etc.). I’ve read reviews going over the same thing, I wouldn’t want an issue like this to become the demise of this wonderful game because it honestly is cool as heck. Can’t buy them anymore or get them in meteors or events... how are we suppose to work on our priests or shaman healers if they don’t exist in game anymore??? It must be a mistake. Several of my guild members noticed that too. They spent real money in-game and now We all feel like Its been wasted because We can’t get healing gems... please fix. Could you comment on what’s going on please??? Other than that major issue this game is the only game for me!!! You can’t just remove healing gems!!! So many of us have so much invested in our healers. My shaman is only a healer... Several other players I know don’t even want to play anymore because of that. If I can’t continue with my healer I don’t even want to play anymore. What’s the point??? Please put Healing Gems back in game. Thank you!!! ### 5/5 — The English is decent, the gameplay is good enough to kill the time between home and work. *2019-06-26, version 2.1.1* This game is good enough to keep me entertained when I’d rather be at home playing WoW or something bigger on my TV. The cutscenes have some recently good looking visuals, and the games graphics are about on par with older WoW. Menus remind me of Older JRPGs. It works well and it has an auto play option which can be good, but I find it takes away from the experience of playing a game but is a necessary addition for a mobile game. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Un-polished and unplayable *2022-06-01, version 10.0* Downloaded this game because I recently got into world of warcraft and wanted to see if there was a mobile version. After about 20 minutes, it finally finished installing and I attempted to create a character. At this point, I kept getting a pop up saying I needed to be level 40 or something along those lines which didn’t make any sense to me, so I tried a few different classes and they all did the same. After about 5/6 minutes of trying different things, I decided to restart the app at which point it attempted to download the whole game again, starting from scratch. Not going to play a game that’s this buggy right at download. Safe yourself 40 minutes and don’t download this ### 1/5 — This is really bad *2020-03-22, version 6.0.0* This game looks cool and fun but it actually isn’t don’t be fooled by the name, First you are given a choice between like 10 different classes and then you don’t even get to choose if you are a boy or a girl. I want to like it but I can’t. The second thing this game doesn’t think about is, it just throws you in to a story with no explanation one of the very first things I battled was this giant weird monster that took 7 other people to fight. Do not buy this game. I know it’s for 4 year olds but 4 year olds would never understand what’s going on or how to beat the game. So if you like just sitting back and letting the game play itself than please download it. Even though most of it is bad the characters look cool and story is good. I just wish I could understand what was going on with the game itself. ### 1/5 — DO NOT SPEND MONEY!!! *2019-06-24, version 2.1.1* The game was fine for 2 months once released in US and EU. Then they fired moderators and only the developers remain. The game does not get support, they do not answer tickets, emails or questions. The servers are dead, and even after multiple attempts to tell 101x to merge servers to help with the population issues, they don’t care. In fact, they opened more servers, that start from level 1 (like every other server did, with fail experience caps) and forget about every other server. 101x does not care about you, they only care about $$$ and of finding ways to make people spend money on a game they just don’t support nor care about. EVERY server is just a clone of other servers, not a single inch of help, support, or care has been given to any of the servers after the moderators got fired. The developers are greedy pigs that just want your money. DO NOT spend ANY money on this game, it will all be a waste of money and time. ### 1/5 — I thought the game was great, until I got forced into a dungeon *2019-05-17, version 1.0.1* I was loving this game. I’m trying to find an mmorpg I can play. So far it was between this game and order and chaos 2. I felt era was way better until the beginning of the story lead me to the first dungeon, which is required to move the story. I got in but you have to find a team to complete it. The game gives no explanation on how to actually do this. There is no matchmaking, which I feel is a requirement for all mmorpgs. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure it out and was unable to get a group. So because of this it gets 1 star. If matchmaking is made then sure I will update the review. However, the game is no longer playable for me. ### 2/5 — Could have been great, but falls short. *2021-06-23, version 9.0.0* So to start off, the graphics, art, and music in this game is fantastic. The game has a very WoW like style, almost to the point of being a clone. The class selection is pretty decent, but lacks customization. Other than that, the game is pretty boring. The story from what I played through was boring, the game is another one of those auto mmos, auto attack, auto quest. Only the dungeons are non auto. And while you can turn off the auto features, when you do so, the game completely flips out. Meaning half the time the quest givers won’t let you talk to them unless your in auto mode. And also the map and the mini map doesn’t give you the direction of the quest target. So it’s really built around being an auto mmo. Uninstalled after an hour. I feel like this game could have been better if it wasn’t so heavily built around being an auto play game. Go play Adventure Quest 3D instead, you’ll have a lot better of a time. **Developer response:** We are sorry that the game did not come to your taste. We will try to make it better. ### 2/5 — Needs in game support *2020-12-24, version 8.0.0* This game is great, however server population is fading quickly due to no in game support and all developers never respond to basic issues. Ticket submission is nearly impossible and syncing accounts are rediculously tedious. It is a fun wow like game it need serious fine tuning and more devs that communicate in English languages. Quests are broken and have to be completed in foreign languages, the new lvl 90 zone is broken to iOS players and character toons are getting stuck and cannot be recovered. Filling out help tickets never get answered and are too complicated to do. You can’t get the character Id from strings menu if your character is stuck on loading into new zone. Please fix this or you will lose more players due to no help on devs part, iOS entry to zones needs to be fixed ASAP. ### 2/5 — Fun MMO but beware possible scam *2020-03-25, version 6.0.0* I have to say this is one of my top iOS MMOs. Some people say it’s reminiscent of WOW, which I can agree there are similarities. That said, I have now had my 101XP accounts get broken two times. Both shortly after I have spent significant money on the game. The most recent occurred after the server merge. I just spent the past 2 days trying to figure out how to reach a tech support team to get the problem fixed and can not find a way to contact them. It is my opinion that there may be a scam involved. Be careful. Devs if you are reading this, contact me and provide me a way to reach you. You have lost my business until you fix my problem. ### 2/5 — Glitch *2019-05-25, version 2.1.1* Era of legends is a great game reminds me a lot like WoW, runs smoothly on my iPad but the only problem is, is that when I was completing the quest with warbear where it required me to give him honey and speak to him afterwards it wouldn’t do anything... like seriously the box on the side under quests said to click it for the quest and i did, nothing happened. I even went to the quest menu and press submit and nothing happened. I spoke to warbear like it told me to and all he said was “roar” and I didn’t receive anything? It just would not process... I wanted to enjoy this game but with this happening I couldn’t. I even deleted my character made a new one and closed the app but it still happened no matter what. I hope this issue gets fixed :/ ### 2/5 — Gender lock + Customization *2019-04-13, version 1.0.1* This game’s concept is amazing don’t get me wrong. However, it still has a long ways to go. One of the biggest factors when it comes to MMORPGS for me is customization. I want to be able to immerse myself into the character and unfortunately I can only do that with about half the classes because I do not play as female. I do not know why gender lock is still a thing in 2019 but that is a huge problem for me. Another big issue in my opinion is the lack of customization. The animation feels a clunky and a tad bit choppy. The characters also needs a revamp especially the warrior class hero who has a very disproportionately big head. This is a great game but unfortunately if I can’t like my character then I can’t enjoy the game. This is headed in the right direction but it falls short for me. ### 2/5 — Pretty good *2019-03-30, version 1.0.1* Pros: Plenty of classes, decent skill system, no mana, decent graphics, well-optimized, doesn’t cook your phone, lots to do and fluid gameplay. Cons: You can pay-to-win, server event notices are off by an hour of server clock, multiple user interface bugs, game eventually crashes or becomes very laggy forcing the player to relaunch game, character customization limited to costumes and the game is full of RNG stacked on top of RNG when it comes to capturing eggs. This is a con because of how much these ‘pets’ can effect power rating. Edit: Recent patch reduced performance or introduced a new memory leak. Although my device is fairly old, before the patch I could play for about 30 minutes without any noticeable lag. Currently I can’t play more than 10 minutes before FPS drops to around 3. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Traditional mmorpg from early 2k’s *2022-12-18, version 10.0* Era of legends is your basic traditional mmorpg from the early 2000s, maybe late nineties. You can choose your class which specializes in their traditional class style beneficial to grouping throughout the game. Normal world combat is soloable. Dungeons are scattered around the world which groups take on. The starting area is very traditional but it is short and sweet instead of long and tedious. Quests are toned down but help with playing the game comfortably. Movement is free flowing like any third person 3d mmorpg. Only drawback is the auto play can be bothersome. It can activate automatically when you don’t want to move especially after a cutscene. ### 5/5 — Great game, needs players *2022-02-06, version 10.0* I’ve played a lot of these mobile MMOs and I definitely enjoy the deep detailed systems for stats and character optimization l. There’s a decent number of dungeons, raids, shops and factions, even queued PvP. There is some cash shop as to be expected but often if you truly have time to play and push you can stay fairly competitive with minimal investment. As a whole the game needs servers merged or the way to enter content changed as queues are super long and the population feels rather small even though I constantly see other players. Just my two cents, play it for yourself and see. :) ### 5/5 — It’s a good game *2021-10-21, version 10.0* It does have that WoW feel. It does have auto questing which does come in handy when you’re only partially focused but want to level up. I played it when it first came out and the dungeons were fun. If you like dungeons this is the game for you. The screen is only somewhat crowded but that’s to be expected with any mmmorpg (mobile). They could use more skins and yes it’s fender locked but get over it it’s a game ### 5/5 — LOVE THIS GAME!♥️ *2021-07-07, version 9.0.0* This game is amazing. It always works and I really love it (but you read the title). I do have one suggestion though. I honestly am fine with multiplayer mode, but sometimes U just wanna play solo, you know? Also, I think that this would be better if it was easier to figure out the controls. I don’t have a problem with the controls, but my friend does and it really gets to her. So I figured, if SHE’s having problems, it’s likely that lots of people do. That concludes my review, and I really do think that this game is amazing. If you don’t already have it, you should DEFINITELY consider getting Era of Legends. ### 5/5 — So far so good! *2021-05-21, version 9.0.0* First impression is good for this RPG! It has a storyline that has depth yet makes sense unlike the overly complex RPGs that fill the App Store lately. You know, the ones which have overly detailed stories told in very poor English (except for the words “Top Up!” they seem to know that one and use it VERY frequently!) This game has cute graphics, auto and manual play, and so far no demands that I go top up immediately! I used to play Villagers and Hero’s, a classic Facebook/mobile RPG and this game feels like a next generation version of that game, possibly it is from the same development team? So far it has been the best gameplay experience I’ve ever seen for mobile- especially considering A game of this caliber where you can actually have full control of character. I was a wow enthusiast when I was in high school, while it’s gameplay isn’t that strong... it also isn’t played with a computer. The only irritating thing I have found is you have to have stamina to do certain things which has to be purchased with cash. ### 5/5 — New Player With A Lot To Say *2020-11-03, version 8.0.0* I just started playing about 10 minutes ago or so. I’m now level 4, and received my first mount, a white bear. I can’t tell you much about the game yet, and I haven’t seen any other players in the game yet, so it might be like a tutorial, but that’s pure speculation at this point, or maybe I’m just on a dead server. I chose this game because from what I found about it, it most resembled World of Warcraft for mobile. Some of the characters and classes in the intro video definitely remind me of it. So do some of the class names, and the scenery of the castle when you take the gryphon reminded me a lot of Stormwind. They even have a knock-off Goldshire down the road called Beckshire or something . I’d love to rate and write a better review once I get farther. I don’t really like the auto run/attack/hand in quest. That’s what a lot of these mobile games are using lately. It doesn’t even feel like a game with all that. I like the yellow marker for where quests are and directions are a plus, but I need to actually play it to enjoy it, and there’s so much dialogue with no voice actor, so I’ve skipped every one of those. I suppose that button is nice. It’s nice that you don’t have to auto run though. I’m looking forward to finding other players to level with. I chose a shaman to heal my group. I saw a list of people looking for “teams”, but there were only a few. I don’t think there are guilds, but I hope I’m wrong. ### 5/5 — Closest thing to WOW *2020-08-21, version 7.0.2* I’ve played numerous mmo’s on iOS but this is definitely the winner!! I would recommend anyone whom hasn’t played mmo’s before, be patient with this because once you learn it, it’s incredibly rewarding!!! Totally free, I only paid money because I love this game but it wasn’t necessary. Most mmo’s on mobile that offer auto-botting make the game a spectator game, but this makes it convenient. You still have to play when you enter dungeons, raids and pvp. I will say it’s a quick start, slows waaaaay down (for a bit till around level 35+) then opens up so much to do you’ll need a charger to keep playing. I hope the devs keep up with the events and continue cycling in new stuff! Totally fun!! ### 5/5 — Server Cap???? *2020-07-13, version 7.0.2* Ok so the game is cool and I like the content that is in it but q times just take forever and what is the point of announcing you can get to lvl 90, but you have server level caps that are no where near that. What is the point of a cap, people reach it in like 1-2 days and then get bored fast. So I realize I made a mistake. I didn’t realize that the cap was in the new servers, so I’m starting over on the first server. If you have ever played wow this is wow on mobile. I have been playing non stop for days now and feel no desire to have to spend money to catch up. Most games like this such as raid shadow legends you are constantly bombarded with purchase adds. There are different builds for every class with a skill tree and gear progression. There are professions but everything is more simplified. Very easy to pick up and play.
