## What is Eras?

ERAS
A life, in any time.

You are born — somewhere, sometime, to someone. A child of the Stone Age, or the Renaissance, or a city among the stars. You don't choose where you start. You only choose what you do next.

Eras is a life simulator with one big idea: you don't just live a life — you live a lineage. Play one year at a time, from first breath to last. Then your story continues through your heir, carrying a single bloodline across nine ages of human history.

NINE AGES, ONE LINE
Begin in the Stone Age and journey through the Bronze Age, Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Industrial Age, the Atomic Age, Modern Day, and the Far Future. Each era reshapes everything — the work you can do, the wars you're pulled into, the way you make and lose a fortune. When an age ends, the same soul is reborn into the next, and what your family built carries forward.

LIVE IT YOUR WAY
Go to school or run wild. Climb a career or found a company. Invest, buy property, chase fame, enlist, run for office — or turn to crime and rule the underworld. Fall in love, marry, raise children, and shape the people they become. Every system bends to the age you live in.

A NAME THAT OUTLASTS YOU
Become a war hero, a tyrant, a saint, or a scoundrel — your reputation follows you, and the world treats you accordingly. Earn titles, build a legacy, and pass down heirlooms that surface generations later. The greatest players don't win a life. They build a dynasty.

TEMPT FATE
Take a seat at games of chance, gamble on a risky scheme, and — when the worst happens — rewind the year to cheat death. Just don't lean on it too often.

ENDLESS LIVES
No two runs are alike. Rags to riches, a quiet life well lived, an empire raised and ruined — start again and the story rewrites itself.

How will your bloodline be remembered?

### 5/5 — Business

*2026-09-01*

More immersive business options

**Developer response:** You're right, and it's fixed. The birth was written into your life log with the rolled name before you got the chance to change it. Now the log waits for your choice, the name you type is the name that's recorded. Thanks for the report.

### 5/5 — good game

*2026-08-30*

this game is better than bitlife by a stretch, the only 3 complaints i have are

1: The random deaths, the deaths in this game is insanely random and dosent even make sense, you can die to Illnesses despite ur health being at 100 and deaths like accident and violence make no sense, death via accident should only happen due to the users actions.

2. The game is slightly historically inaccurate, Ik it’s nearly impossible for a (i assume) single person to make a game historically accurate and make wars start and end on the exact year but in no way should kevian rus ( also Kevian Rus wasn’t rlly a nation but a term to descibe the loose political federations of rus) ever go to war with songhai china, and u could try to make major events happen during a specific time, like example: if ur born or living in 1237 in Cumania (which i dont think is in the game) their shoukd be a huge chance that you die to mongol invasions which should be labeled as violence via war, and another problem i have with this category is how the atomic age in some countries doesn’t even start in 1945 but happens either way earlier in a country that never had or has nukes (like Greece), and many other eventful historical wars should be added, not every war but insanely historical ones, like revolutions, civil wars, etc.

3: If you choose to live as a distant relative ur entire family won’t really have the same last name as you. Which is a minor issue but another issue i have is that in the primitive era the lands are crudely named, like what is the copper hills and old peninsula supposed to be? i like the ones that require a quick google search to learn like the caral valleys while some like the maize villages make no sense since that could be virtually everywhere.

### 4/5 — Accessibility

*2026-08-29*

Hi, I’ve enjoyed playing this game, but as someone who’s using VoiceOver, every time I’d like to exit a section of the game I have to close the app and reopen it. It’s quite frustrating over long periods of time, is there anyway you could fix this?

**Developer response:** Thank you for telling us — you found a real gap: the game's section screens had no close button for VoiceOver, so the only way out was a swipe VoiceOver can't perform, and the in-game menu was unreadable too. Every section is getting a proper Close button (the two-finger scrub will work as well), the menu is being rebuilt so each item is its own button, and we're working through the rest of the game's VoiceOver support after that. Really glad you've been enjoying Eras despite this, and thanks for the patience.

### 5/5 — AWESOME GAME!

THIS GAME IS AWESOME MAN!

### 3/5 — Incredible potential but lacks refinement

*2026-08-28*

This game has the most potential of any “bitlife-likes” I’ve ever seen, the monetization is incredibly fair, the detail you can get into with your character is great, there are just a few things mostly holding it back.
1: dying randomly for no reason is not fun, and death descriptions are not elaborate enough. There’s no worse feeling than dying to an “illness” when at 100 health, and it makes me feel like I have no control over how long I live. Also randomly dying to accidents I agree should be a thing, but they should be a result of an action I take, not a random occurrence. I’d like deaths that occur naturally to be indicated as such with the health stat instead of just occurring. Same with dying from “violence”. Firstly, what does that even mean? Secondly, let me do something, anything, to somehow prevent it!!
2: the way things are written in English are very confusing. I’m assuming most of the game has been written in a different language and Google Translated to English, which, fair enough, but still. I would say 20% of events that occur I have no idea what’s happening simply because it’s written so cryptically.
3: some eras are much less fun than others simply because there is less stuff to do, like for the caveman era, maybe let me build a civilization? There’s already a very good upgrade system for realestate assets, I could see the same system being used to found and lead a city over the ages?
4: The player character has many accessible details for flavor, which I love, you can see your height, blood type, weight, it’s super cool. LET ME SEE THE SAME DETAILS ON OTHER PEOPLE!!
5:heirlooms don’t really do anything and are just there for flavor, which is.. fine? It just seems like a well thought out mechanic, but they don’t do anything. Idk just feels weird how important they feel and how unimportant they actually are.
Conclusion: This is the base for an incredible game and I cannot wait to see what lies ahead of it

**Developer response:** Thank you for the incredibly thorough review. This is exactly the kind of feedback that makes the game better, and I've taken notes on every point.

You're right on all five. Random deaths need to be tied to your health and your choices rather than coming out of nowhere, the event writing needs to be clearer (it's not translated, it's just written too cryptically in places), the early eras need more to do, you should be able to see details on other characters, and heirlooms should actually matter.

I'm working on refinement as the focus of the next update. Thanks for playing and for caring enough to write all this out.

### 5/5 — Fun game

*2026-08-28*

Game is good but the economy seems to be in decline until you get later in life. When you die and continues as a kid or someone else in your lineage the economy resets to being in decline. Also the later in lineage just makes your birth year the same as your death year making it not really “later” in your lineage. Game is fun though and can’t wait to see what else you do with it!

### 5/5 — Awesome Game!

*2026-08-22*

Very creative premise & it’s so cool how characters are detailed & how the legacy can progress through time. Keep up the awesome work! 🩵

### 4/5 — Really good potential

*2026-08-21*

Mobile life sims have a very tough job. They have to be engaging and deep enough that you want to play out a life but also simple and shallow enough that you don’t mind playing multiple lives. Eras is managing to strike this balance well. It’s unique not just because it’s historical but also because it approaches relationships in a refreshing but familiar way.

There are some things that I think would really make it great like a more fleshed out descendants system (I feel like you should be able to marry of your kids and see/marry off grandchildren and great grandchildren too) and I think the interaction could use some work. But overall, it’s a really promising game, I hope it can grow.

### 4/5 — Better than BitLife

*2026-08-21*

I really like this game so far. The eras are really cool and unique unlike BitLife which is always the same. I especially like the Middle Ages, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get nobility. After I become a lord my children aren’t able to become knights since it requires noble birth.

### 4/5 — Interesting Concept!

*2026-08-19*

I’m not sure how historically accurate the game is, but it hooked me! I love that it’s not too tedious to progress and the UI is easy to navigate

My only two complaints are the ads and lack of customization. Although infrequent, if there was a way to get rid of ads (one time purchase etc.), this game would shoot up to five stars for me. I get that starting in a random era is a core part of the game, but adding a custom mode where you can change your appearance etc. would just add more control for the user.

Regardless, good work, developer :)

### 1.0.44 — 2026-08-22

Heirlooms, war, and what a room reads about you.

• Heirlooms are objects now, not labels — yours alone, with an age. Four ways
to come by one, three ways to let it go, and a conviction can seize the
  eldest thing you carry.
• What you wear and what you carry follow you past courtship into the
interview and the ballot. Your house's name arrives before you do — at
birth, at hiring, at the ballot, and in doors only a known line is offered.
• War gets a war table: the tide of a campaign told in words, the Battle
Orders deduction game, and a set-piece battle line for the vanguard, the
last stand and a ruler's offensive. Rank decides who commands the field.
• Era-true service dress for every age, worn on a full standing figure — and
the mirror shows you in it.
• Painted scenes on the turning points of a life, on event cards, ceremonies
  and the end.
• Great Works your line finishes long after you're gone, a world that finally
speaks up about plague and upheaval, bonds that say why they stand where
they do, a household that knows who lives under your roof, and an epitaph
that says the truest thing about a life instead of the first true one.
