Why in the world is there no option to add an Insurance ID card to my Apple Wallet on my iPhone??? If I can do it with airline tickets, hockey tickets, my motorcycle policy, rewards cards and more, then surely this can’t be some insurmountable hurdle that Erie can’t figure out! The security is over the top after they’re hacking in the summer of 25 like I get it you don’t wanna be hacked again, but you probably turned your nose at spending money on cyber security until there was an incident just make the app easy to log into let me see my payments and turn on or off auto easy. ### 2/5 — Use To Be Good *2026-03-14, version 1.16.0* The app worked great until your business was hacked in 2025, then the login is nearly impossible. This is horrible. Someone needs to fix this problem. The app sends you to the internet to login and it still has problems! ### 1/5 — App *2026-03-12, version 1.16.0* Will not let me sign in ### 1/5 — New Login is CRIMINALLY BAD *2026-03-04* It took 20 minutes to login because your implementation of MFA IS HOT GARBAGE!!! Somebody should be tarred and feathered for this. Completely unacceptable! And why in the world was my previously recorded payment info deleted? Inexcusable! Also your UI to enter payment info is bad, it should open the keyboard to numbers where the field the user types in only accepts numbers, and the screen should NOT scroll so that the user cannot see what they are typing. This is very basic UI/UX 101 stuff. I am furious after this experience. If my team pushed out an update this bad, I’d fire the whole lot of them! ### 1/5 — App No Longer Works *2026-02-28* In the past let’s say 1 year ago the app worked fine. Now it no longer works. Additional the web interface does not work. Both ask me for a password reset. It sends a link in email for the password reset. It attempts to open a website but comes back with an invalid website. I can no longer access Erie either by their app or website. ### 3/5 — The 1980s called they want their app back *2026-02-26* The app function is OK but it is definitely dated and cumbersome. Why when you open up the app you have to click a button for it to log you in just you have to click another button for it to read your face. Just have it simple if someone saved their two factor authentication by biometrics it will automatically log them in even banking accounts do that now please get with the times. **Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your feedback. Just because of this, I’m going to cancel the insurance. ### 1/5 — New MFA horrible *2026-02-07, version 1.16.0* After years of using the iOS app and the browser to get information and pay bills, the new multifactor authentication process is awful. It creates significant barriers to access. I’m sure it’s in the name of improved security but goes overboard on restrictions in my opinion. ### 1/5 — MFA and payment issues-ridiculous *2026-02-07, version 1.16.0* I’ve loved this app in the past. The recent update rendered it useless. After a confusing and frustrating MFA process (scan a QR code???) I finally got in to make a payment. When I tried to select payment type, the page went blank and wouldn’t load. That makes the app completely unusable. Very disappointing that a previously easy to use app has become frustrating and useless. I love Erie and understand the need for security but they dropped the ball on this. ### 3/5 — Latency Issues *2026-01-22* Glad the majority of users have positive interactions. Not so much for me. It takes me several attempts to login and when I’m on the app I’m not sure if it’s latency issues or app is frozen. I’ve had to delete and reload several times. I chose to use SMS text. No way to use this in the IOS app. Cannot sign in anymore. To get into your account. It renders this entire app useless. Now I have no choice but to log in via a webpage on a computer unless I can use somebody else’s phone to scan the QR code. Why not have the typical text two factor?? Really hope I don’t need to access my virtual cards while out. I’ve been through many insurance agent changes. All have been very kind and very knowledgeable.
